After a 17-hour flight from Australia to Heathrow, the Panther Cabs taxi ordered for 6.30 a.m. did not turn up. On phoning them, I was told there was a problem and suggested I wait and buy a cup of coffee. The taxi arrived shortly before 10 a.m.! What should have been a straight forward journey turned into a nightmare. This should not have happened to anyone, especially to an 87-year-old man.
Looking at the other awful Panther Cab reviews, I realise what a mistake I made booking with them.

So unreliable! I book my taxi and took me long to wait. The driver took advantage of delaying me. He says 10 minutes then 8 minutes. I rang their office and said they will send new taxi for 2-3 minutes. I waited and waited then panther told me that they spoke to the driver his on his way with the same driver who say the same his on his way! I ended up 8:06 been over half an hour waiting and I cancelled my booking as this is just ridiculous! 7:24 -8:06 waiting is too long to take the pissed. Please be aware about this guys! Drivers should be not accepting job to do if they cannot be reliable! Even the driver did not apologised to me. I’m really angry. I wasted time and my work that starts at 8 am I so late and informed my colleagues.

Rude, aggressive driver who doesn’t seem to even have a basic understanding of the Highway Code.

Not reliable. I booked in advance a trip to the station to get to the airport. The taxi was late and on the app there was nobody assigned to this job. Everytime I called the company they will try to reassure me it would only take 5min. 25min later I cancelled the job and was lucky enough a friend of mine took me to the station. I didn’t miss my train for the skin of my teeth.

Upon my arrival at LHR from Australia, Panther Taxi was scheduled to meet me at the arrivals area at 6:15 AM. However, I ended up waiting nearly an hour and a half, as the driver only arrived at 7:50 AM—and even then, the sign he held did not display my name. Throughout this time, I repeatedly called Panther, and each time, they assured me the driver was “5 minutes away,” which was clearly untrue.

When the driver finally showed up, I asked why he was so late. Instead of apologizing for the significant delay, he abruptly claimed he had arrived at the airport at 5:30 AM. Yet, when I questioned why he hadn’t been at the arrivals area, he offered no explanation.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I would absolutely NOT recommend Panther Taxi due to their unreliability and unprofessionalism.

Dog shite service in the mornings! When my Mrs calls and books in advance for 8.30am and she's told driver will be 5 minutes everytime she calls up to check where the taxi is because it hasn't arrived.

This had happened so many times, making my children late to school and stressing my wife. When you call up to complain they do not give a 💩.

One driver told me they (the office) do this all the time to jobs under a tenner, so why not just tell the customer you will not be sending a taxi instead of keeping people hanging.

Shame because most of the drivers are all very nice people.

Would have given no stars if I could. Sandy Station to Gamlingay. 10 minutes. Charged £35.90. The driver was unfriendly and unhelpful. Checked and the cost should have been £17.17 approximately. Never again. Terrible company

Avoid at all costs, we pre-booked a taxi to take us to the train station yesterday (16th November) at 10:45, at 11am the cab had not turned up, we tried calling several times to get a recorded message saying taxi was booked and would arrive shortly. We then got a message to say that our booking would be completed by a driver outside of our area, whatever that means? The link didn’t work and there was no ETA. We waited until 11:05 and in fear of missing our train we jumped in the car and drove to the station which messed up our plans. We managed to cancel it at about 11:15 once we finally got through to someone. Absolutely awful, unreliable service and looking at the reviews I’m surprised they are still in business. Avoid this company.

Panther you need to have better contingencies in place for booked times. It is horridly unacceptable to hear ‘we are short staffed ‘ when one rings to check on the cab that was booked 12 hours ago with a confirmation of booking and no additional info regarding a delay . I put my trust in waiting for the drivers but I realise this is flawed now. I have to explain to work this is the reason I’m late .

Avoid this taxi company there meters are corrupt and they prey on young girls to get them on drugs and prostitution nearly all there drivers don't have a taxi license

I have used Panther cabs alot even to the extent that one of the operators knew my address as soon as I called and that I was going to Colchester hospital OP or cancer well-being hub.
On Tuesday 8th October I arranged a cab to a care home in the city, as my father is dying. The driver was outstanding, kind, conversation throughout the journey and he
accommodated my little pet
dog who was harnessed, seatbelted in and on her clean blanket to protect the seats. The next day I tried 2x to arrange a cab and there were no drivers who would take me and my dog to my dying Dad. Why?. The operator was short and blunt. You maybe having a bad day but you don't know what's going on with the person that's trying to order the cab. I'm sad as there is only a handful of drivers now that can take me and my dog anywhere. I'm disabled and live in a village cannot walk to a bus stop so feel very disappointed and let down by a firm that is clearly losing their reputation as no1 go to taxi firm. I'm sorry for the poor feed back this time and to the drivers who always been there for me you're worth your weight in gold.

Appalling service… I booked a cab for 3.30pm to catch a train which had been booked for 4.00pm. Taxi didn’t turn up at specified time, had to call up to find out where they were and they said driver had been held up. Driver finally arrived 10 minutes before I was due to catch my train so I ended up missing it! The driver said he had not been told that I had booked a taxi for the specified time. Not good enough, will not be using this company again!!! 😠

Terrible taxi service, I’ve given this taxi service multiple chances and every time it disappoints, they always say 15 minute wait or 10 minute wait and then it always ends up with us sitting there for 40-60 minutes for it, you call them up to ask where it is and they say 5 minutes and 10 minutes later you’re still waiting. You call up again and they say the same. Won’t be using it again, terrible taxi service.

Panther used to be the go-to taxi company for Cambridge. Known, trusted, and local. It has slowly deteriorated over recent years to be worse than awful. I can only repeat what other reviewers also note. The staff are exceptionally rude and unhelpful. Taxis, even when booked in advance, do not turn up. I have missed trains, and almost missed flights several times over the last year - thank goodness there is Uber to come to the rescue when Panther has yet again failed to turn up when booked. They are now totally unreliable, and give a really shoddy service. So sad to see a once good company get so awful. A lifelong customer, I will not be using them again. I cannot recommend Panther to you now, either.

Didn’t turn up, meant serious problem with catching a train. The app said “had trouble finding you at your location…” which was our house.

My son and daughter-in-law made an advance booking online with Panther for a car to pick them and their toddler up from our hotel in Impington at 8:45 am on the morning of September 25 to catch a 10:18 am train from Peterborough. My daughter-in-law also called Panther in advance to confirm the booking. No car ever showed up and, when she called Panther after waiting 15 minutes past the scheduled pickup to get an estimated ETA, all they could say was "one of our drivers will pick up the trip." Thankfully the hotel was able to suggest another company to call. That company was able to get a car to the hotel quickly enough to make the train, but we will never rely on Panther again.

I took a booking with Panther. Carried 7 packages from home and waited on the sidewalk for 1.5 hours. Rang them multiple times and got no clear answer. The taxi never turned up. I carried all the packages back home after waiting for 1.5 hours in the rain. Truly the worst taxi service I have encountered.

Booked a people carrier to take 5 of us to Colchester Town Hall for my Granddaughters wedding, my granddaughter was one of the passengers. So a really important booking which they were aware of as I explained everything in an exchange of e mails. Car was due 10.20am, didn’t arrive, I rang at 10.23 because I was stressing a bit, was told they had no record of the booking! Guy on the phone didn’t seem bothered to be honest. I asked to speak to the person I had been dealing with when arranging the booking and was cut off. To say I was upset and furious is an understatement! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, my experience proves they are UNRELIABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL and UNCARING. it was only due to good neighbours that my granddaughter made her wedding but it was not the start to her special day that I had planned. They do not deserve a one star rating but a minus rating wasn’t an option!

Minus star if I could. I was in charge of booking taxis for my friend/ husband and there two kids and one for myself, husband and our children. 00.15am after a family party. Booked ONE WEEK in advance. Time comes Nothing they turn up at 1am!!! Awful first time booking never again! Do not risk it....control blame drivers...drivers blame control!

Booked Taxi to Warley Golf club turned up got there all good BUT difficult to pay by card as no signal (so Panther aware). Our booked return cab for 11pm failed to appear...I called they said I never answered their call (remember they know no signal at club). Panther were rude & would not send out a driver (pre-booked for 11pm). Was left stranded late at night without any way to get home. Luckily my son had Uber on his phone & in 6 1/2 mins Uber was there.
So Panther you have lost out to Uber as I will use them from now on.
Absolutely disgusted with Panther never in my life received such poor service with a cavalier 'couldn't care less' attitude.
Panther should NEVER have accepted the return fare as it knew it was not going to honour the job.
DO NOT USE PANTHER CABS EVER!
