Shame I cannot leave 0 stars!
The taxis was over 20 mins later for a booking to catch a train for the airport. The driver was rude and abusive. No apology - “you shouldn’t book a taxi during rush hour traffic” - do not book if you require a reliable service!!!

Shocking attitude from this company. Taxi booked in advance. Did not turn up. Apparently they call in advance to check you are in the correct location. They do not tell you this when they take the booking. If you do not answer the call they don’t come. We were left out in the cold for 30 mins very late at night waiting for them to appear. Driver was fine when a new taxi was ordered but we will not use this company again.

If I could swear and leave negative stars I would. This company is the epitome of dog poo service. Always late or do not arrive. I’d rather walk over crushed glass bare foot then ring again.

Had a panther taxi from home to Addenbrookes in the morning and return journey in the evening booked by the hospital, driver was constantly scrolling through his phone and both drivers were speeding and tail gating even at 70 plus mph on the motorway, will never use them again

Never again, asked me to put details of hotel into his sat nav, which I did, but took us to completely different hotel, bill at €14,then asked again to put destination in, saying I put wrong information in, which I didn't, eventually got to our hotel which he knew, to drive to,and the bill was €34, expecting us to pay, we paid €20 and told him if he had a problem fone Garda, which of course he didn't and excepted it, we suggest AVOID, scam merchants, I may be a tourist but not stupid

Phoned for cab got hung up on . Second call answered by a lady ended in cab arriving but had to walk to a landmark . Could do a lot better

We got charged £24 on a Wednesday night at 12:30pm (so hardly peak time) for a journey that normally costs around £15. Wouldn’t use panther cabs again as they completely mugged us off

...Used to be a great taxi service for Cambridge, and one I could always rely upon.

Dislikes...

...Recently acquired by some company called Veezu. Now, broken/unstable booking and payment systems, and payments on account now often requiring paying the driver by card/cash anyway. You have to keep cash with you to avoid broken payment systems and problems in areas of poor mobile coverage, and some drivers having to request full payment of fare before arriving at affected destinations.

...New drivers that don't know the area, since the departure of many local drivers that have reportedly left due to the 20% 'cut' of fees taken from them. I've never offered so much career change advice to regular drivers in the last few months, now looking to get out.

...You can elect to add a tip through the app, which I've often done to reward a friendly reliable service, or for occasions such as Xmas, but the driver never seems to be aware. Hmm... Is the company taking a cut from that as-well, I wonder. Tip them in cash.

Certainly no evidence of "improvement", despite the usual self-promotional BS that trips so easily off the tongue. It would appear to be another sorry tale of our broken free market economy, with competition simply swallowed up by bigger players then free to play the budget-constrained services game to maximise profit, at a loss to customers and employees.

Don’t bother pre-booking your taxi on the app. You are NOT in priority queue. My taxi didn’t show up three times in a row in one week. Well, last one showed up but the driver went to a different street, didn’t pick up the phone when I was calling and left. Operators don’t care either, just tell you to be patient and that they are doing their best. That last taxi no show costed me £80 for not showing up to my dentist appointment. Needless to say, I won’t be using Panther again.

I was giving them the full address while they did send car before and the lady and man of phone because didn’t happen once only was keep telling “when you know full address call back “
I said have nothing to say more on address that’s the full address I m telling you , you send me car before with the same information.
I m just not bothering with silly company anymore.

Yesterday (4th Jan) l arrived at Parker's Piece after a 24-hour journey from Australia. Very tired, l tried to ring Panther for a taxi home, but my phone would not work, saying no internet. Across the road sat a Panther taxi so l asked him to radio through to ask if l could have a car to take me home. The driver spoke to someone who reported the company would not take me home; they don't deal with those whose phones are not working. WHAT!! The driver was there, he spoke on my behalf, and with a large suitcase and a small carry on, l wasn't going to disappear from view!
The driver apologised profusely, and to my amazement said for me to wait a minute. He ran across the road to ask a driver from a rival taxi firm if he would take me home. What a gent, l take my hat off to you. Such a kind gesture and l Thank You Sir. The second driver took me home with no trouble.
So, Panther, you would leave a very tired pensioner to drag heavy luggage (25kg) to walk the mile and a half home after a 24-hour journey? I'm sorry but you are just the pits and l would never recommend you to anyone. I will add the rival taxi firm to my contacts on my phone now, yours has gone. Thank goodness it wasn't raining, or l would have been in a right state when l got home if it wasn't for the kindness of your driver.

Charged £35 for a 4 mile trip from Royston to Bassingbourn. More than the cost of both our return tickets from London. Never again.

Absolutely fuming! Scam company! Made a payment through the app for £128 to take my sister to the airport; once she got there they said we had to pay the driver directly! They held her ransom and DROVE OFF WITH HER THREATENING TO TAKE HER BACK IF WE DIDN'T PAY and the driver was shouting at my sister. Absolute SCUMBAG company, taking DOUBLE payment. This is not over. I have the car registration and driver details and I will locate where the car/drivers address. I will be confronting him face to face directly and make sure I get money back one way or another. Not letting anyone scam me or my family, you guys are are going to seriously regret this. During Christmas as well. Can not wait to show you what happens when you mess with the wrong people.

The worst customer service I ever received. I booked a taxi for 5am didn't show up. 5.15 a rude guy telling me its cancelled on the system. Our train left 5.30 so we missed the train. We had to ask the next driver if he can take us to Stansted Airport or we will miss our flight. Checked back with office if they can give us some discount. The most rudest man on the planet told us he can't do nothing with the biggest arrogance ever. The very last time we used this company who I thought was reliable.

Book a taxi for 6:30 in the morning, call them at 6:40 and a very rude lady saying we are looking for the next available driver , give us 10-15 minutes

I booked the cab two hours in advance. Yet the app kept saying for 20 minutes after agreed arrival time “waiting for a driver”. Not good enough. Got Uber in the end. Far more reliable

We booked a cab days in advance for a birthday meal, minutes before they were due to pick us up they cancelled through the app. No call or explanation, just cancelled. We rang to see what was going on and we’re told there is a 2 hour backlog. We rang another firm who fortunately could get us right away so we were only slightly late, they told us that they had other calls from Panther customers who had been let down.

Perhaps they had an issue that’s unusual but no excuse for how it was handled, completely unprofessional.

Panther cabs thank you for abandon my daughter at Colchester North Station. You’re a hopeless company and provide a hopeless service ,your telephone staff have mental health issues , what a pathetic joke, this is not a company you can rely on
