13 months of failure
From installation in July 2025 through 13 months of use, Paxtonâs system fails consistently. Intercom calls rarely reach mobile devices, notifications are delayed or missing, and the Entry app cannot maintain stable sessions under any network conditions. Documentation is incomplete, guidance is contradictory, and required technical information is unavailable.
Paxton certified installers repeatedly demonstrated lack of training or experience in basic system operations. Remote support provides no actionable guidance, except to blame local network infrastructure to the point that over the 13 months I felt pressured into an overhaul of onsite infrastructure at the total cost of £6k, including an upgrade to gigabit fibre.
Issues persist despite this, the system remains unusable as a reliable intercom system.
The software contains a reproducible bug affecting every supported version of Windows. I discovered a Y2K-style date handling bug that is reproducible on any Microsoft desktop.
I escalated the situation through channels until their in-house engineer visited the site several times. I refuse to spend any more money on this until the failure mechanism is identified. That engineer left the system with a 60ft temporary cable strung across the driveway without which the system would not function at all. Totally unsatisfactory to leave us in this situation. Repeated attempts to get updates on progress have gone unanswered for several weeks.
Poorly trained installer engineers, ineffective support, and a fundamentally flawed residential deployment make this system unfit for purpose.
I do not recommend this system. I suggest you look into a superior and more cost effective MÃŒller system instead. You have to eat the yogurt and clean the pots yourself but once you tie the string you are ready to go.
