Permatopia Takes advantage of Wwoofers
Permatopia rely only on woofers for the hard work while the only paid employee Anders(which doesn't even lives in Permatopia but at Copenhagen!) do not the same work as woofers and he's not concern about our well being either. He put a young women to work on weeding without giving her gloves. And she wasn't even a woofer she was just visiting some local and naïve enough to be taken advantage of. I was the one who asked her if she wanted, and showed her where they were even if the gloves are impaired and wore off, she managed to pick up a pair that was better than nothing. When I told Anders about it, he didn't seem very bothered by and he didn't know that the gloves weren't wore off and unpaired, some gloves has holes on the finger tips. This speaks tones of Permatopia REAL behavior towards volunteers, they want us to work 5 hours per day no stop. Going to the restroom is seem suspicious, working with a limp is normal, no one tells you you should work, OR you should take a day off (it's volunteering or not?) and catch up with those hours not worked another day! The woofer house is dirty, since it's up to the woofers to clean up, which many before me didn't even those who I spent time together, the upstairs toilet(wwoofers floor) sit was dirtier than a public toilet. I've cleaned it for my own sake, but the shower had black mold and I had to go downstairs shower, which is in the middle of the living room, kitchen and in front of the communal outside tables...Bullying from other wwoofers is not an issue to Permatopia, if the bully does the chore they don't really don't do anything about it. Like said here by another wwoofer, which I agree and appreciate their review, Permatopia allowance covers a day of work in Denmark, so wwoof.dk is a way to Permatopia save up money on a free labor! If you're looking to spend time with a Dane farmer Io recommend you to look up for smaller farmers, those who asks to work "only" 4 hours a day (under the rain or the sun is pretty enough)and like it have been said by the other post, see how many positive feedbacks a farmer have for how many years they have been on wwoof.dk. And good luck!
