They cut my dogs hair way to short, they are lazy ass groomers my dog had a very small amount of matting on her hind legs only. I know because I just brushed her a couple days ago. I told them I wanted a teddy bear cut they didnât even know what that was when I took my dog to another groomers they knew what I was talking about. They said they would shave her but it was even shorter than what they showed me and all uneven. Then I noticed that they had shaved every dog that came out of there. Iâve had matted dogs in the past this was nothing. Will never go there again.
Boynton Beach unprofessional grooming department
We went to the Boynton Beach store for grooming. The groomer/bather had booked literally 4 appointments at the same time, with only 1 other groomer/bather present. The phone was ringing off the hook, multiple people were waiting to check their dogs in, and nothing stated on the website how they are checked in was done (head to toe exam, etc). Then two customers got into a nasty verbal battle and things continued down hill from there. Very unprofessional atmosphere, short staffed. I will not be back, though I do give credit to the manager and one of the groomers for making things better.

This was me giving PetSmart another chance, and unfortunately, the experience was worse than before. You can see the decline reflected in the noticeably reduced foot traffic at this location. Customer service at this store is extremely poor.
I had a scheduled grooming appointment for my dog and arrived early, as I respect that time is money. Upon arrival at 8:30 a.m., I was told I could not drop my dog off because there was no personnel available in the grooming department. Instead, I was asked to wait until nearly 9:30 a.m. for my appointment.
This situation unfairly placed the burden on the customer. Being late would clearly be an issue, yet arriving early was also treated as a problem. What was most frustrating was the complete lack of communication prior to my arrival. I drove across town specifically to be on time, accounting for unpredictable traffic, only to be asked to sit and wait for almost an hour as if my time had no value.
In past visits, drop-off was not an issue, as most customers have work and other obligations. This time, however, the responsibility was shifted entirely onto the customer without warning. That was the final straw for me. I will be seeking a more reliable and professional groomer going forward.
You Never Shave nor Trim a Husky
I took my Siberian Husky to the Petsmart in the Brandon/Flowood,MS area- for his same, nothing different grooming (bath, teeth, nails, brush and TRIM his HUNCHES). His hunches have always been trimmed for sanitary reasons- they grow long and you can put them in ponytails. We have never had a problem until 1/3/2026. We dropped our fur baby off. The main individual who we are familiar with checked us in. I reiterated- trim his hunches and he hasnât had a bath in a while. To make a long story short- you have to pay first before they bring your fur baby out to you. When they brought him out- he was looking different as soon as he came from the back. He came closer- All of his hair around his head was spiked- all his side body hair had been trimmed to less than inch, all of his body had been trimmed. I just looked- I didnât scream- I didnât yell. Itâs not like they can put his hair back on. I phoned the main office and filed a grievance- no response. Petsmart sent me a grooming review & I completed it & informed them of what they did. The manager phoned me- he asked, â What do you want us to do?â ð€¬ I viewed the cameras, he looked the same leaving as he did coming in.â Impossible, being he had a bath, and now he looks like heâs going to the ARMY! ð€¥ Afterwards, I phoned, the main office for the second time-âWe will definitely run this up the chain.â Today is 1/23/2026, it has been 20days since this assault on my fur baby and our family as a whole. Heâs very depressed, he loves the cold- he canât sit outside in it. Has anyone ever seen a husky in a sweater?
Rude, inexperienced staff
This store has really went down hill. Staff are rude and not very professional. Actually had the manager laugh in my face when I said I would escalate my issue and then walked away from me without a word when I said that I hadn't meant with the company but as a review. My 2 girls were supposed to be groomed today and the issues started as soon as I hit the door. The groomers came out and told me my elder dog was matted and I needed to pay for additional dematting. This is a hairless dog with a mane and it was a simple snarl like we all get in our hair, was no where close to the skin or anything. I told her to let me know if it didn't brush out and I would consider it and left them there, only to get a call 5 minutes later stating they both had fleas. My dogs were just to the vet 3 days prior!!! I believe my vet before anyone else. When I got there they said there was one flea spotted on my youngest dog. I am super doubtful for several reasons, one is the recent vet visit, the other is fleas are not very common in Winter in Michigan, how do I know it didn't just jump on her from another dog, and the last is they said there was flea droppings on my elder who is a hairless. It would be super hard to not see that on her. They then proceed to tell me they would have treated them but couldn't because there was a pregnant groomer in the salon and couldn't be around flea shampoo. After I offered several solutions to get them finished with each being blocked like it was me or something, I finally left. This is a groomers, you have to be kidding me. Meanwhile, I was given my dogs back, one of which was half shaved!!! I truly think it was due to me calling the groomer out on the dematting charge for a snarl on a hairless dog. The only hair she has is a main on her head, longer hair on her paws, and a tail. Everywhere else she is bald. I am totally disgusted with this store and will never be returning.
Pet Smart No More
I quit going to my local pet smart. I would prefer to go there but they never approach customers to see if they need any help. Ive always had to track an employee down if i needed something, its happened to me too many times. They are just not a friendly or helpful store. I believe you should love animals and be friendly with them and their owners when you work at a pet store. The two positive things I do have to say, so happy we can take our pets with us and their sales can be great.

If I could give a 0 I would. I went to the groomers at 10136 two notch Rd. in Columbia, South Carolina. My cat came back, smelling worse than when I brought him in. They told me they use only authorized shampoo, defending that they didnât do anything wrong. I donât care what shampoo they used. I just know he came back real smelly so now I have to go buy something else to make them not smelly. And no one offered me anything in return. I was gonna start bringing my dogs there but absolutely not.

I went into the store and talked to the owner about the quality of the dogfood . He was arrogant and treated me like I was a criminal. I told him my opinion of how overpriced the dogfood was with all the preservatives. He dismissed my comment and I left the store.

Just received my order which included Joyhound® Hippo Treat Dispensing Rope Dog Toy. Gave the plastic part a quick wash with soap and rinsed off, then gave it to my dog. She started playing with it, then started to sneeze. Then sneezed again. Took it away from her. My dog doesn't usually sneeze when I give her a chew toy, so concerned about the material and/or plastic.

I got the call to pick him up in under 2 hours. I asked how he did and the groomer said "he did good". I paid $80 for all the services and drove home. Upon arriving home, I looked my dog over and found that his paws were not trimmed, nails were not grinder or smooth. They were extremely short, jagged and splitting from a very short clip with no grinding. Not sure if teeth were brushed. Ears were dirty and oily, obviously not cleaned. I called back to store. The groomer in question had already left(It was a Friday). The girl on the phone said we don't usually shave labradore paws, it causes their hair to grow like crazy. What? Of course the hair is going to grow back. My veterinarian had never heard such a thing of any breed. I had obvious paid for full grooming services and they picked and chose the easiest tasks just to get by and go home. Very dissatisfied with the Findlay, Ohio store and the services my dog received. I would upload photos, but the option is not available. The girl I spoke with said I could bring him back over to have the paw shaving done, yet to drive 45 mins back to the store to have services done that knowingly should have been done the first time? I feel my dog was put in the hands of inexperienced groomers with questionable integrity, and I will not subject my pet to that again.
I like PetSmart
I like PetSmart. They have convenient locations and really neat stores. Itâs so convenient to have a Grooming Salon and Veterinarian at the same location. Iâve use both in the past. My mom was a huge fan! Customer Service has always been very nice and professional when I visit.

Maggots in food and wonât return
PetSmart I bought dog food during the holidays when it was on sale and opened the bag to find it full of cobwebs and maggots. I called customer service and since I purchased it on 11/3 and opened the bag on 1/6 it was outside the 60 day return window and they can do nothing for me but offer me coupons. Absolutely disgusting, I will not purchase from you again!

When we went to go pick up our leopard gecko they were very gentle and handled the animal very well. The employees gave us a pamphlet and they answered any questions we had and made sure we had all the stuff we needed.

If I could give it a negative 20 I would but it's not allowed I went to the PetSmart on man avenue in Reno Nevada last night between 7:00 and 9:00 and I had never been in there before I was going to grab a couple dogs sweaters but I had stopped and talked to this lady for so long I don't know I changed my mind and I petted the dog I was talking to and I walked out and the manager chased me out of the store telling me my associates saw you steal from us and I'm trying to run I said no ma'am I didn't steal anything from you I don't steal and she said I'd like you to come in here and dump out your purse so I went back in and I let her go through my purse there was nothing in there from PetSmart nothing and I tell you I've never been so embarrassed in front of 10 or 15 people in my life all I did was go home and cry so if you ever want to go to PetSmart do not I would ban all of the stores I would not go to the one on man but that is how they treat people that maybe look like a thief in their eyes I don't know but the manager that was working yesterday should not be in customer service and that would be a date of January 3rd 2026 between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

He pretty much called me crazy cause I told him I have receipts bc he was so adamant with you are crazy lady we donât sell it. Thru have a pate and one with grace itâs Recommended by my cats bet cause he had a blockage. I left went to the store 5 miles away and they had it . The manager there printed me a copy of receipts for a full year to prove to the manager at the other store who called me crazy would know that they so carry it. That way I could find out if they would restock it. I went back and he looked at the receipt told me it was the pate one. He was wrong cause my cats donât eat pate period. The recipes show the right one. I went home and called customer service and they had the info needed and shows it was the one at that very store the manager said they never carried. Thank God for customer support. I hope the corporate office gets this complaint cause this man over sees employees and needs to be retrained cause he was flat out wrong and didnât know how to handle it, maybe having a very lazy day or a bad one but to not even say I was wrong or Iâm sorry itâs unbelievable, a manager should always show the good side of a company and this one failed. I didnât scared or throw a tantrum or even raise my voice. I just wanted the product not have to travel 12 miles away to the next store or st the most let me know if your going to get the product I was looking for in soon. Thatâs it. Poor Grooming Sevice in Gurnee
The groomer took four hours to cut my small standard poodle thats 7-10 pounds and the cut was poorly done. My poodles claws were not clip at all. I called the complaint line and was put on hold forever. I went to make my dog another appointment at another Petsmart location in Wisconsin and was advised in the app to call the store. No we will not be calling, no we will not be back to Petsmart, and no I do not need to explain my feelings about Petsmart poor grooming service.

Zero stars if it were allowed. I had a 75 gallon tank that was bought brand new. I was gonna start a saltwater reef. After going to a local pet store to get 70 gallons of R/O saltwater to fill the tank with. And also bought live sand and live rock. After filling the tank with yhe70 gallons, I noticed a leak coming from the corner of the tank. So, I syphoned all the water back out into 5 gallon buckets and totes in my living room, took all the rock and sand out and brought the tank back into the Owensboro, Ky store. Upon entering there was a girl at the register that just stared at me and finally I had to inform them I had a return. She proceeded to mumble something to me and I asked her what she said. And she asked me to come to a different register. So I did. By that time, the manager, Brenda, was up there. I told her my dilemma and how upset I was and all the stuff I had to undo because of a faulty tank that was 9 days old. Thatâs when I saw a tag on the underside of the tank that said sell by 11-25. I had bought the tank in 12-25. So a month later. Which probably doesnât mean much since it never had been used. But, she asked what I wanted to do and I said I really need a tank since I have a living room full of water and rock and a stand I spent 300$ on to fit that tank. So, they had one on the shelf. So we lifted it up and put it on the cart. I looked at the corners and there it was again. Another crack!! So I said I donât want this one and she proceeded to tell me that I could fix that with silicone. I said I want a new tank, not a project. Thatâs when she got an attitude with me. Why would I buy a new tank that needs immediate repair just to hold water?? So I asked her if she had any in the back and she said no. So, I saw another one that was being sold as a set. With the base, lid etc. I said I want that one. She said you canât have that one itâs in a set. I said you need to make this right because your product was defective she told me â we didnât make your tank leakâ I said I know this but it was your product that did! So she reluctantly said I could have that one. When we lowered it off the shelf as I was in line to do the return I was looking at the corners and low and behold!! Another crack in the same spot. So I said just give me my money back and Iâll go find one elsewhere. So they refunded my money. But the kicker is, they put those broken tanks back on the showroom floor to sell!!! WTF so, I will never spend another dime at their store. What a joke. Very disappointed in this location. Buyer beware.
