Purchased on Kickstarter for graduation gifting. Great product in concept, execution is severely lacking.

(1) As a previous reviewer mentioned, it has issues displaying color. Faces especially show chunks of grey. I ended up having to make some photos grayscale in order to make the image acceptable.
(2) I bought a six-pack, only 4/6 work. No connectivity + does not turn on. Sent in photos, videos, descriptions. Customer service is unreachable.
(3) For the 4 that work, there are issues with recharging. All of them need a hard reset before they work again once the battery runs out.
(4) The app is basic with none of the promised updates. Parts of it is in Simplified Chinese.

I bought in to their KS, so I take the L for a first revision product, but I would not recommend purchasing unless there is a hardware + software overhaul and an overwhelming amount of positive reviews start coming in.

Never again. Realized 20 minutes after I impulsively purchased that the product basically had false advertising. I reached out within an hour after purchase to cancel my order and it took them 3 days to respond. Their response was, “Sorry your order is already shipped so you will have to return once you receive the package.” Annoying but okay.

It then took 12 DAYS from when I was told the item had “shipped” to when the product actually shipped from their warehouse. I reached out the same day I received my package—I am told I have to pay return shipping because it’s not a defect, even though I was basically lied to about the shipment. FINE, I will pay the return shipping—I just don’t want to support this company at this point.

It’s now been 12 days since my initial email asking about returning the item. I didn’t hear back after sending the pictures they requested. I’ve followed up a second time asking what the status of my return is and I still have heard nothing.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. They bank on misleading people and making it extremely challenging to return. My next step is going to my bank. I’ve never dealt with such a predatory company.

I love my PicPak, but I do not think their marketing properly conveys what the device is or what it's capable of. It can only produce black, white, red, and yellow. No blues, no greens. I love using it as a tiny dashboard with some custom firmware. Displaying pictures on it? Not so much.

First of all there has been a problem with the shipping and they resolved it very fast without asking any supplement.
This dispositive is fantastic, for the style and the small size. It has a lot of functions and you can send images to it by bluetooth or wifi. The idea of a photo thar change everyday without charging it (it depends how many time you change the image, with one for every day it last a year) is fantastic. I'm very happy to have chosen this product on kitstarter and i want to make a gift with the others two i've bought. I think that is not important the color, the pixels, or the time that it need to change image. It's like a Polaroid that change every moment you want, it has to be taken as it is, with their imperfections. Because it's a marge between art and tecnology, in a very small size. I love it

Their product is cheaply finished.
The plastic is flimsy and the kickstand is loose. Two poor magnet strips poorly glued on the back.
Obviously the worst the picture quality.
It does display only 4 colors which makes pictures containung blue or green completely burned out or washed out.
Disgusting customers service and complete lies on their products

This device does not function, and when you reach out to customer support, they will not help you. Instead, they ask that you create videos of your own phone's app (which of course is impossible if you do not have a second phone to use), and then they will send you to a ".dev" developer website that includes a severe warning that clicking on the link may damage both your device and your personal property. I have been working on getting a refund for the past 8 days with no luck, and have spent over 25+ hours working on this. Do not spend your money on this--there are other products that function well. Do not make the same mistake that I made.

The product is unusable for photos. The connection can’t be made half the time. The display is awful. The refresh is measured in parts of a minute. This product is a resounding failure. Beta firmware that’s half Chinese. It’s just. Awful.
