I purchased flight tickets through an OTA from JRO to ZNZ six weeks before the departure date.
We were already in Tanzania, and three days before the flight I received an email from the OTA telling me Precision Air had cancelled my flights.
I checked their website straight away and the exact same flights were still being advertised, just at more than double the price I’d paid.
I’d never experienced or even heard of an airline cancelling flights like that purely because they wanted more money.
The likes of Precision Air are exactly why African countries are where they are economically. Things will only change when the Precision Airs of the continent understand that they’re part of the infrastructure and actually bear some moral and ethical responsibility for their country’s reputation.

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Precision Air.

On a domestic flight from Kilimanjaro (JRO) to Zanzibar (ZNZ), an item was stolen from my checked baggage. The bag itself was delivered, but a multitool I had placed inside was missing when I opened the bag at my hotel.

I immediately contacted the airline and provided everything they asked for: baggage tag, boarding pass, photos of the missing item, photos of the bag, and a written statement from the passenger who checked in the luggage. Despite this, Precision Air refused to process the claim because I did not have a Property Irregularity Report (PIR).

The problem is that airport staff told me a PIR cannot be issued when the bag is delivered, even if items inside are missing. In other words, Precision Air is demanding a document that is impossible to obtain in this situation — and then using that as a reason to deny any responsibility.

Over several months of emails, the airline gave no meaningful assistance, no investigation, and no goodwill compensation, even though the loss occurred while my baggage was in their custody.

This left me with a financial loss and no practical way to have the case handled.

I cannot recommend Precision Air based on how this situation was handled.
