Used to buy comic bags and boards for archival storage from pel, now i have to request a quote which costs £16 for shipping and handling, the items i am ordering cost £23, last year it was just £5 postage so i have no idea what is going on, i am in the uk ordering to a uk address.

Für meine Bestellung bei pel Preservation Equipment an meine Anschrift in Deutschland, habe ich eine Zahlung der Einfuhrgebühr für die FedEx Sendung leisten müssen, in Höhe von 19,70 Euro. Aus den Versandinformationen auf der Website wurde nicht ersichtlich, dass ich für diese Bestellung derart hohe zusätzliche Kosten entstehen. Zu lesen ist hier lediglich, dass Kunden in der EU für die Zahlung der Einfuhrumsatzsteuer und der Zollgebühren für ihre Bestellungen innerhalb ihres Landes verantwortlich sind. In Anbetracht des relativ geringen Warenwertes von knapp 20 Euro zuzüglich 10 Euro Versandkosten, ist die Einführgebühr von fast 20 Euro meines Erachtens absolut unverhältnismäßig. Da das Unternehmen zudem eine deutschsprachige Website betreibt, war für mich als Kunde zunächst nicht ersichtlich, dass ein Versand aus dem Ausland (GB) erfolgen wird. Das Unternehmen pel hat mir diesbezüglich rückgemeldet: „Wir bieten nur ein Angebot für die Ware und die Transportkosten an – wir kümmern uns nicht um Zoll oder Gebühren.“ Hier wäre m. E. mehr Transparenz geboten.

I placed an order over a week ago and still haven't received my order.

They really ought to send their goods by a tracked service and provide a tracking number. I now have to wait another week before chasing again.

Mine was an international transaction for a product I could not find elsewhere.

Preservation Equipment Ltd. had exactly what I needed. They handled my order expediently, packaged it properly to withstand the shipping, and potentially the exposure to the weather if I was not home to receive it when it was delivered.

I am quite happy with their service, and recommend them highly.

I had the email about the new PEL catalogue, which prompted me to put in an order for items I already knew I needed. Then I ordered the catalogue - free, but a small charge for P & P. Today I had a follow up email. Mandy had spotted the two orders, added the catalogue to the main order and cancelled the postage charge. Joined up thinking by a real person is SO rare these days that I was simply delighted. Thank you!

Made an order a year ago and it arrived with something missing. Been contacting them throughout the year to either get a refund or have it sent again with no response. Don't waste your time with this company.

I ordered some, for me, new products, all were ready and well packed. I am looking forward to trying them out.

The optic lense was delivered quickly and in good packaging, the opti visor is a good headband and the Da number 5 is excellent for painting.

I needed acetate sleeves to protect watercolour drawings - firm provided exactly what I required with excellent quick delivery and careful packing. Strongly recommend and will certainly use again.

The products received is high-grade and premium archival material. Good price and also good rate for shipment overseas using air freight and properly packed for sensitive goods! Thank you PeL!
