Disappointed in NORTHWEST RADIOLOGY with new policy since bought out by RadNet
Iâve been a patient of Northwest Radiology in Indiana for many years. my company uses them as well. I have always been treated very well by Northwest Radiology Iâve had many scans over the years whether itâs an x-ray CT, MRI and I think once maybe twice before over the entire 30+ years Iâve been going to them I asked the radiologist to look again at a report. I had a high resolution CT and there was mention that the one I had three years ago also had the same incidental finding. THE ordering doctor is not the type of doctor that handles the incidental finding so now I have an appointment with a new specialist but I donât go in for four months.
I called Northwest Radiology now RadNet and asked for the doctor to take another look and I was told they canât do that anymore without a doctors order. So here I am, do I ask the doctor that itâs totally out of her area to take her time to write the order? Do I somehow ask a new doctor that Iâm not seeing for four months to somehow do it? I mean what is a patient supposed to do? This is my body I pay for this service and the Dr is not the only one that might have a question. Doctors are busy and when an incidental finding is found and itâs not in their area, they donât have the time to deal with the patient. Iâm very disappointed in NORTHWEST RADIOLOGY . All she had to do was bring my question over to the radiologist. they say that online you could call if you have a concern but they blamed it on RadNet that they couldnât do anything to help me. Very very disappointed.
