All went smoothly apart from BA delays at the start . The itinerary was perfect , hotels good and local agents excellent

Ten out of ten to Kristen to organise our trip, we couldn’t fault it, great hotels, lodges and yacht and seem less transport arrangements.We had nothing to worry about other than to enjoy everything about the trip

The whole trip exceeded our expectations! All aspects of the holiday, the itinerary, travel arrangements, tours and hotels were excellent. Jake at Rainbow is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and made the whole experience stress-free.

We hadn’t heard of rainbow tours before I found them through a web search. We have previously organised trips through Trailfinders but Rainbow tours was very competitively priced. Very personalised service that was warm and friendly and Nikki our advisor was brilliant. We went to Botswana and Mozambique and all of the lodges were amazing. The guides were excellent and very knowledgable and all from local communities. We saw such a variety and range of game on each safari drive. The ground staff in both countries were also very good. We had one issue in our lodge on Mozambique and Nikki sorted it out within an hour. Would thoroughly recommend rainbow tours

A terrific company with which I've travelled twice. They care way more about creating the best trip for the client and not merely passing another holiday through the bank balance. The passion for what they sell and the destinations they know so well shines through across every exchange, interaction and communication.

The tour was amazing everything was arranged with fantastic local tour companies with very knowledgeable guides and the hotels picked in the right locations and offered everything you needed. We will be booking with Rainbow Trours again if we can.

We just booked our 5th trip with Rainbow. Excellent travel company with in-depth accurate knowledge about the destinations, able to manage personalised requests and put all efforts to make the travelling fun.

The experience and knowledge of agents at Rainbow meant that we had an amazing trip in Argentina and Chile. We had confidence when we booked our trip that it would be amazing. The choices of hotels and tours made the most of our time in each location and the local agents kept us updated on exact times for each day for transfers and flights. We had some shared tours and met other travelers who had used different UK agent and they were not receiving the same support while on their trip. This was our third holiday using Rainbow and we are already planning the next one.

Absolutely amazing holiday to Kenya. Visiting Nairobi (Hyatt Regency Westlands), Amboseli (Tortilis Camp), Masai Mara (Lerai Camp) and Diani Beach (Baobab Beach Resort).
From start to finish, it was fantastic. The accommodation, the flights, the transfers, the food and the people were so friendly and happy to help. The staff at all the resorts we stayed at couldn’t do enough for us. We were treated like royalty.

The staff at Rainbow tours are exceptional. They planned and delivered the most memorable trip we could ever have imagined! Everything from start to finish was amazing! Great trip to Costa Rica. Kerry Cook was excellent in working with us to design a trip that worked for us. Everything on the ground worked like clock work and flowed well. Great experience all round.

Our holiday was amazing. Loved Cape Town. Our tour up the garden route withe Mark from Cullian tours was brilliant and our lodge at Lallibella (Izolo) was exceptional with Liselle our ranger who was very knowledgeable. All transport was good and on time.

We had a fantastic time. All the lodges were superb and based around eco tourism. Kerry Cook our advisor was outstanding in every aspect

We have used Rainbow Tours on several occasions and they always deliver an excellent trip, with well planned with superb customer service. They use very good local partners and this made for a great experience. If you haven't been to Patagonia, you really must! The staff have been superb and very responsive to our requests. We found that South America caters very well for non-Gluten diets which was great. All round, a wonderful experience and we won't hesitate in using Rainbow Tours again.

Craig from Rainbow tours put together an incredible itinerary for a safari and beach holiday in Kenya . Craig spent a lot of time with us discussing our wish list and thus created the perfect itinerary which well surpassed our expectations.

Our first stop was Nairobi where we visited the elephant orphanage ( a must do if you visit Nairobi !) the giraffe sanctuary and the national park. What an amazing start to our holiday that was . We then spent 3 nights at the Borana conservancy which was truly a very surreal experience. We went on e-bike and horse safari where we got so close to giraffes and zebras and saw many smaller species which we would have missed by jeep. We also went rhino trekking on foot and learnt so much about the amazing conservation work they do for this species Their passion for all the animals in the conservancy is very clear to see. The accommodation ,, food and service at this lodge was of the highest level The staff could not do enough for us !

After a thrilling stay at Borana we then spent a very chilled 6 nights Kinondo Kwetu . What a beautiful boutique hotel this was ! Another gem of a find by Craig . The setting on a private beach in Diani was very special The staff are so friendly The food was amazing and you were seated at different locations for each meal time with amazing views out across the beach .

A big thank you to Craig and all the ground staff in Kenya for an amazing holiday which ran seamlessly throughout. Having the confidence in a company who knowingly can deliver this level of service and organisation takes the stress out of the travelling and allows you to fully enjoy your holiday .

Rainbow has the experience that made my African trip beyond amazing. Craig from Rainbow selected a route / hotels / guides where I saw and experienced all I dreamed of and beyond. Rainbow Tours will not let you down.

I approached Rainbow Tours for advice and spoke to Kirstie Richardson, who was so patient and knowledgeable and has given me so many ideas and filled me with enthusiasm. What a lovely representative and a super company. I will definitely progress my booking.

We booked a multi-week trip to four countries in Africa with Rainbow tours. We deeply regret working with them and would encourage others to look elsewhere.

For a month long trip, we specified that we wanted refundable, changeable, point-to-point tickets. Because of the complexity of our trip, the flexibility such tickets offered was essential.

When I attempted to change the date of the first leg of the trip (which was from London to Lisbon and did not impact any other leg of the trip), I was told that this would cost more than £3,400. Contrary to my instructions, they had booked the entire itinerary as part of a single, complex trip, such that a change to one leg required re-ticketing the entire trip. While the exact same trip purchased at the time of my change request was lower than when Rainbow bought the tickets, they wanted me to pay them £3,400 more because they failed to follow instructions about how to book our travel.

When I pointed out their error, they blamed the airline, then they tried to blame me, saying I had given no such instructions. They slow-walked their responses in hopes that I would give up. When I pointed out that the fares were in fact lower than when originally booked, they were silent.

We spent over £45K with them on our trip. I expected that our request would be handled swiftly and competently. Instead, they lied to me about why they wanted £3400 extra, invented a story about a fare increase and made me wait 10 days for a solution that I found without any help from them. Ultimately, booking the travel as we requested netted us £250 instead of costing the £3400 they originally demanded.

I am very sorry we booked with Rainbow. They were incompetent (failing to book travel as instructed), dishonest (lying to us about why we were being asked to pay so much for a simple date change) and lazy, hoping that if they slow-walked our requests, we'd simply stop asking.

Their so-called "travel specialists" may be passionate about travel but he are utterly useless at the nuts and bolts of booking travel. Their so-called "manager" for the division that sold us our tour, was particularly unhelpful across multiple interactions over 10 days. She repeatedly lied to us, which convinced us that this wasn't just catching them on an off day, it was a deliberate and concerted effort to rip us off.

Beware. The good experiences we had on our trip were because their in-country vendors were good, not because Rainbow added any value or expertise to travel planning. To the contrary, their laziness and dishonesty made our travel that much more difficult.
