Replacement corded remote control cord was separating away from push button end. First service call had serviceman use silicon glue to keep wires within remote control.
A new replacement remote control was requested and ordered several months ago. We were contacted and made appointment to finally have defective cord replaced. Driver arrived on time but did not have the ordered replacement remote control. Wasted time for both your serviceman and ourselves here in Pitman NJ.
Chair is uncomfortable/unusable for us and we would like to sell it, we cannot sell this R&F lifting recliner with potential remote cord issue

Raymour & Flanigan of NJ has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences my family has ever dealt with.

My family and I recently moved into a new home and wanted to start fresh. We intentionally chose a large, well-known furniture company because we thought it would be more reliable. We planned on furnishing most of our 3-bedroom home through Raymour & Flanigan, starting with a sectional we absolutely loved in the showroom.

Before going back to purchase it, we called the store because the website showed it was out of stock and unavailable for viewing. The employee assured us it was still in the showroom and available, so we rushed over excited to buy it.

We financed the sectional that same day. We even offered to take the floor model because we needed furniture quickly and have children in the home. We were told floor models were NOT sold. Fine.

We arranged pickup for the following week, took time off work, rented a U-Haul, and prepared everything. Then, while literally pulling out of our driveway to pick it up, the salesman called and said:
“Don’t bother coming, we don’t have the couch anymore.”

Apparently the same floor model we were told could not be sold had suddenly been sold to someone else.

At this point:

Our credit had already been run
Financing was approved
Money was tied up
We rented a truck
We took time off work
We still had no couch for our family
Strike one.

To make up for it, they offered free delivery and setup the following week.

Delivery day comes. Nobody shows up during the scheduled window. We call, and suddenly we’re told they already came and nobody was home.

We were home all day.

Then they claimed they went to the wrong address — except they read our correct address back to us.

Strike two.

The next day we were promised we’d be the FIRST delivery at 10 AM.

10 AM comes:
“They’re running behind.”

Then:
“They packed your sectional in first, so it’s last to come out.”

Then:
“They had to go back to the warehouse.”

Then:
“There’s only one driver.”

Then:
“We don’t know when they’ll arrive.”

We repeatedly explained we had work obligations and children sleeping in the home. We were repeatedly assured “they’ll definitely be there tonight.”

My husband sat outside until 2 AM waiting so the babies wouldn’t be woken up if they arrived late.

They never came.

At this point we escalated things to corporate because every single person we spoke to gave different stories and empty promises.

Eventually a higher-up apologized, offered discounts, free delivery/setup, and rescheduled us AGAIN for another week later.

Now today — once again — we were told delivery would be AFTER 4 PM.

We specifically asked because we needed groceries and work around their timeframe. They reassured us multiple times they would call when they were on the way.

At 1:30 PM, while we were just down the street, they called claiming they had already come to our house and we “missed the delivery.”

Except:

We never saw the truck
Our cameras show nobody ever came
Nobody left a note
They contradicted the timeframe THEY gave us
Then we were told:
“They’ll come back later.”

Hours later, still nothing.

This has gone on for WEEKS.

The amount of dishonesty, miscommunication, wasted time, missed work, false promises, and complete lack of accountability is unbelievable.

We were lied to about:

Stock availability
Delivery times
Attempted deliveries
Floor model policies
At this point I’m documenting everything and escalating this situation further.

Families spend thousands of dollars expecting professionalism from a company this large. This experience has been the exact opposite.

Frank was great from the moment we walked in to the store. He assisted us with our concerns, helped us select a replacement set and was overall welcoming.

The staff was knowledgeable and the financing was easy.

Just had another complete bedroom set delivered, once again exceptional sales and service. The delivery was flawless and on time. I joked with my wife if R&F had appliances everything in the house would be from them. Love both Deptford R&F locations Thanks again

Large selection of furniture , affordable prices and a helpful sales associate . I purchased 4 beautiful chairs for my dining room with 3 day Delivery. I will return to purchase a living room sectional!! Customer service was warm, professional and patient.

Mike and his team. Not only the people we talked to personally but the people behind the scenes. The warehouse, movers and deliverer. Top notch all around.

Salesman, Thomas Peep was the person I look for. Created me at the door, I told him I was just looking today, not purchasing. He left me to walk around the store. I seemed him out and he asked if I need help. Told him what I was looking for. We found basically what I wanted. I asked for his card. He asked if I wanted to out a deposit I Saud when I came back. Went back a week later , put a deposit and will go back to schedule delivery. No pressure,no following me around great !

The large selection of sofas and loveseats made shopping a breeze.
Anne Wald your store consultant was very helpful and I appreciated her hands off approach. She let us shop without hovering and gave us all the information we needed when asked. I will certainly be coming back to R&F for any of my future needs.

Rich explained everything to me about the 2 chairs recliners. What I was really liked was that he wasn't up my butt made it a relaxing experience.

The sales lady ( Alisa Demayo) was kind, and very knowledgeable about what we were looking for.

My sales Consultant was Alisa Demayo. She was very well-informed and knowledgeable. She was not high-pressure or loaded with hype—she was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. No, I am not a relative, current friend, or former friend.
