Never pay out.

Used for years with no issues then went to redeem a $50 gift card and was rejected due to "cluttered background." The email went to spam and because I did not see it and respond with 14 days, my account was deactivated. When I tried to rectify the situation, 3 emails were ignored. Gave a 1 star review on Google and got a response within 2 days but not solution except to email again.

Iv given them receipts up the wazoo , I just got a notice that my account was disconnected due to inactivity which is a lie I just loaded up receipts this pass Thursday looking.. over reviews they do this often. Never sighn up for receipt Jar they need to be removed from google play store🤥😈

Receipt jar waited until I was able to cash in 100.00 and cancelled my account. If they thought I was doing fraudulent things why didn’t they stop me then instead of waiting. I shop a lot and make lots of receipts for one visit which is ok in my book but they wouldn’t even consider I used all the receipts myself. They are a 1 out of 10 in my opinion so they are just trying to stop any large rewards to be given. Don’t waste your time. I spent months to get cancelled. So beware

I have been in and out of hospital buying him things.

After years of being a customer I decided to cash in my rewards. They then decided to suspend my account saying I submitted receipts incorrectly. Not giving me a warning and not allowing me to even cash in my rewards! I would not recommend this company at all!

When u try to cash out, they close your account. A complete wast of time!

I was just a few receipts away from a $50 gift card that I so could have used at Christmas time when it was yanked from me saying I didn't have an account and needed to re-register. Worst app ever!!

I wish I could give this site zero stars. I tried to cash out my $100 only to be told that a great many of my receipts were not going to be accepted since they were not on a dark enough background, yet when I uploaded them they were credited points. Numerous emails pointing out the unfairness of this were met with no change. Total waste of time. There are much better receipt apps available that don't cheat you!

Waste of time with legit reciepts. Scam you when time to collect. I was owed $140 in rewards. Was told problem with ownership. Don't waste your time. Class Action Suit is sure to be on the way.

If there was a 0 star option trust me I WOULD GIVE THESE JERKS A 0 STAR!!!! They make it totally impossible for anyone to cash out and just love to ban people which is stupid. I am glad I found Receipt Hog because they are so much better!!!.
Receipt Jar customer service is a total joke and waste of time
Don't bother with these guys they will only ban your account when you try to take photos of receipts.

Receipt Jar = USELESS

App does not work alot of the time or times out while you submit receipts. I upload receipts the SAME DAY and they tell me receipt expired...no points. Point accumulate very very slowly. Do not waste your time. There is NO customer service response.

Frankly, I am pleased to see an overwhelming amount of negative reviews on this company. I too had a bad experience with them along the lines of their deceitfully not paying me and have nothing good to say about them. They are quick to wrongfully reject receipts with no follow-up explanation

Received the below email when trying to make a redemption.

I hope you’re doing well.

Upon reviewing your account, we noticed that it has been inactive, as your last uploaded valid "offline (physical)" receipt before your redemption request was on May 1, 2026, and your redemption request was made on June 4, 2026. Due to this inactivity, your request was unfortunately rejected.

As outlined in our Terms and Conditions, accounts that remain inactive for 30 days are subject to point expiration. This means that inactive accounts are not eligible for redemption, and any expired points are automatically forfeited.

To maintain an active account status, please continue submitting physical receipts on a regular basis. Please note that your account may be tagged as inactive if no physical receipts are uploaded within a 30-day period.

Very disappointing experience with ReceiptJar. After spending a long time uploading receipts and getting close to 10,000 points, my balance was suddenly reset to zero. When I contacted support, they only referred me to the terms and conditions instead of providing real help. In the end, it felt like a complete waste of time.

It is a slow system in rewarding the points; and by the time any points added to your account, you won't even remember what or how many receipts you've submitted. I waited for months, if not a year, to reach the required points for a cash-out only to find out they've terminated my account!
This app is not worth it to have on your phone, and you have at least 90% chance of not getting paid when you finally reach your requirement!

I made 2 separate transactions from a vendor during the same visit. (For whatever reason, the vendor rang up my gift card purchases under separate transactions.) Regardless, there were separate transaction numbers assigned to the receipt. Receipt jar denied one of the transactions stating the transactions occurred within 10 minutes of each other - huh? Stating:"If you upload several receipts from the same “Retailer”, with the same “Purchase Date” within 10-minute intervals, the system will automatically merge all the receipts in this time period, sum the total, and assign points based on the summed total."
Total crooks - said they would bring it to the attention of management. I'm going to respond that I have brought this issue to the attention of Trustpilot.

Waste of time. The points you earn are worth nothing compared to the data they demand. They won't let you cash out unless you link your email and give them full access to your inbox. Then, when you try to delete the account, they take weeks to process the request. Ridiculously low pay for a high-risk app.

UPD: I requested the deletion of my account and associated data from them a month ago, and it still has not been addressed. Absolute scam!

I requested a $50 Amazon e gift card, and customer service sent me an email that my payment wasn’t processed and my account was suspended. Receipt jar is totally a scam.
