Buyer Beware!
TLDR; Highly Overpromised & Grossly Underdelivered Training. Cost me over 10k with zero results. Recruitemy & owner Russell S. Liebowitz 's sales pitch promises an array of high touch components for a collective system he called "Mastermind recruitment training program". Marketing promises "take you by the hand" training & support for starting a solo recruitment practice. But in reality it is not personalized nor high touch at all. Mostly a bunch of low quality, unhelpful video content + woefully basic contract/templates + 45 min QnA sessions with 25 ppl where there's never enough time for everyone (and most questions are re-directed back for you to re-watch a video). Most call scripts are not even written out (must listen & rewind video to write them down!), contracts are not universal and just copied from Russ's own recruiting company.
After 6wks of inquiring and waiting on many still undelivered components, I demanded a refund. Russ responded by engaging in a series of bad faith efforts to delay and obfuscate; culminating in his blocking my access with no refund.
Full Summary:
Case of Deceptive sales practices & misrepresentation Non-delivery of promised components include:
⢠Assigned a Private Account Manager
⢠Enrolled & trained into a proprietary ATS/CRM system (never enrolled despite charged three times in two months for the monthly $297 fee for "software tools")
⢠A Step By Step Blueprint of the Entire Recruiting Process
⢠Automated tools to streamline every aspect of your business
⢠Personalized guidance by Liebowitz, a 25yr industry veteran (his definition of "personalized guidance" is a 45 min weekly group QnA with 20 ppl, many of which he'd cancel last minute w/o resched)
⢠"Done for You" system to start a recruitment business (more like "watch a bunch of basic unhelpful videos and figure it out")
⢠"Social Media Plan" to create & publish LinkedIn content on our behalf; making us "subject matter experts"
⢠Recruiting & training Virtual Assistants for us on our behalf
Guarantee / Refund:
Requires unreasonable, nearly impossible conditions: Send 982 outreach videos using a third-party tool (Dubb.com).
However, this policy is invalid due to many undisclosed requirements in order to "qualify" for a refund:
1) Undisclosed is the reality that each video requires 15-20 mins to make. Over a six month period that's about 4 hrs per day.
2) Undisclosed is that Dubb is not included in the program fee (nor the $297 monthly fee for software tools) thereby requiring add'l $40/month subscr..
3) Undisclosed is LinkedIn Navigator, required to generate the prospects in order to send these Dubb
outreach videos, is also not included thereby requiring an additional $100/month subscr..
Last, there's the consistent bad faith from the owner, Russ Liebowitz. From the moment I purchased and enrolled, I was mostly left to fend for myself. There was no onboarding, no staff ever reached out to check-in, and when I reached out to staff or Russ, I was placated week after week with a sense of his annoyance to being challenged, responding with"it's coming, it's coming" until he got sick of my weekly inquiries and Russ literally called to yell at me to stop asking (despite many cohorts asking for the same things as I was). At that moment I demanded a refund, which Russ agreed to, but then did not honor.
After that call I engaged in a series of refund communications with Russ; resulting in a further pattern of delay tactics, false promises & bad faith behavior.
He would agree to refund terms verbally, but with written language later reflecting far diï¬erent terms (to Recruitemyâs benefit).
During, he would make me chase him for each follow-up, insisting on a voice call instead of replying via email, miss or be late to the call, forcing me chase him again to reschedule, agree verbally to certain terms when we did speak, then days later (after multiple follow-ups on my part) present diï¬erent terms in writing than were agreed to verbally - all over a period of weeks.
When I asked why he wonât reply to emails and insist on calls, he said he âcanât risk any written refund discussions getting out.â
I then realized this weeks of back and forth was running the 90 day clock on filing a dispute with my credit card. I informed him that without an immediate refund I will pursue outside mediation. Russ responded by revoking my access to the program, with no refund.
His bad faith continued after my going to BBB (go there to see) and to my credit card for mediation. He would list out all the items that were included, attempting to make the case that everything I paid for was delivered - but never addressed the core of my dispute: the many components promised on his own marketing sales page but non-existent and undelivered.
Beware of this man and his company.
