Diabolical wait times

1. Their repair service is diabolical with ridiculous wait times.

2. Purchased a simple rubber ring for a tom on V507 kit through Scan computers.. 3 months later and its still not here.

I personally would never buy another Roland kit again after this.

ROLAND est une marque légendaire

ROLAND est une pure légende et cela est un fait établi. Si ROLAND n'avait pas existé, il y aurait une immense quantité de hits planétaires qui n'auraient pu voir le jour. Le dernier produit en date que j'ai testé est le Voice Tweaker E-4 et je le trouve tout à fait parfait pour la petite touche "glitch" déstructurée qu'il me fallait. J'ai eu la chance de l'acheter à la boutique de Harajuku et je dois dire que je le trouve vraiment trÚs sympathique et que j'aime aussi beaucoup les amplis de chez ROLAND. Je donne cinq étoiles sans hésiter à cette marque légendaire!! *****

I bought several Roland AIRA plug-ins


I bought several Roland AIRA plug-ins sold as “Lifetime” licenses/keys, expecting to be able to use them indefinitely on my system. The reality is very different: support confirmed in writing that these instruments require online re-authorization every 30 days, and it must be done through Roland Cloud Manager, with no standalone/offline authorization alternative.

This isn’t about “not liking updates.” It’s about reliability and workflow. I sit down to produce, open a project, and suddenly I can’t continue because I first have to log in, re-authorize, or update Cloud Manager. Roland inserts itself between the producer and the session. In a professional environment, a project should open and work — period.

This also makes “Lifetime” feel like conditional access: if you’re traveling without reliable Wi-Fi, or if Cloud Manager eventually drops support for your macOS version, you effectively lose access to the plug-ins even though they were “purchased.” I deliberately keep my production system “frozen” (I don’t keep upgrading my OS, to avoid breaking compatibility), so this model is especially problematic long-term.

And here’s the bigger point: imagine if every vendor did this. A producer with 100+ plug-ins wouldn’t be able to create — you’d spend your studio time authorizing software and maintaining managers. With Native Instruments, Arturia, and Universal Audio, my installed plug-ins keep working. With Roland, the manager + recurring online authorization becomes a single point of failure that can break sessions.

The plug-ins sound good, but this licensing/manager dependency is not a professional approach for users who need long-term stability. I won’t be buying Roland software again under these conditions.

I just purchased the Boss DR-01S drum


I just purchased the Boss DR-01S drum machine. What I wanted form this device was quality shaker sounds. Nothing else. Unfortunately, what they offer is the semblance of a shaker sound. Unless you layer it with other effects, the shaker sounds are very weak and not realistic.

De levering!!

Over de piano voorals nog geen klachten. Maar..de levering! Amper engels sprekende komen nog net niet je €4000 kostende piano naar binnen gooien. Ze hebben geen verstand dus als 1 toets het doet zal t wel goed zijn. Snel tekenen en weg zijn ze..vind dat echt een domper

Non comprate Wireless Boss!!!!

Ho comprato il sistema Wireless Boss WL-60 per essere sicuro di avere un oggetto "buono" e sopra la media, escludendo modelli più piccoli e cinesate varie, ma ha funzionato solo per circa due anni, dopo di che ha cominciato a "scattare" ogni tanto. Quando ho ripreso a fare live, l'ho riprovato e scatta sempre, Ú inusabile. Contatto l'assistenza Boss/Roland e mi dice che non esistono pezzi di ricambio e che lo sostituiscono solo se in garanzia, che nel frattempo Ú scaduta. Contatto la sede di Roland e mi dicono in pratica di attaccarmi... circa 300 euro buttati via, se compravo una cinesata da 50 euro potevo capirlo...e probabilmente mi durava di più.... in più, ho visto che ci sono un sacco di utenti con il mio stesso problema, quindi sembra sia un problema diffuso che Roland sta ignorando.. vergogna!!

Roland fantom 07 does not work as a DAW


Roland fantom 07 does not work as a DAW controller if you have a newer apple Mac with the silicon chip, they haven't got around to updating the drivers although the silicon chip has been on Macs for quite a while now, Roland seem more interested in pushing Roland cloud to squeeze more cash out of musicians.

I’ve been a loyal Roland customer


I’ve been a loyal Roland customer because I love their instruments — but my recent experiences with their customer service have been extremely disappointing.

When the hi hat for my TD27 stopped working, I expected timely support. Instead, I encountered literally no help whatsoever. Three days into the issue, and their support offices have been closed the whole time.

What makes this frustrating is not just the technical issue, but the lack of communication and accountability from a company that charges premium prices for its products. To me, those prices just aren’t worth it given the lack of support.

At this point, I can’t recommend Roland to other drummers. Out of curiosity, I called Pearl, Alesis, and Yamaha over the weekend. All three of those manufacturers had support ready and willing to help.

I hope Roland takes these concerns seriously and improves, but until then, buyers beware. The product is OK, but I expect Roland will get left behind soon via manufacturers that provide significantly bet

Roland VG plotter

I work for a company where we supply managed print services i would think twice before recommending Roland Plotters to anyone the service is shocking and they put the phone down especially when you buy a 19 k machine and it breaks down in the first week and then the second week. they also state that they do not have any polices in place with their outlets where they recommend customers to go to purchase their equipment shocking

please stay well away from this supplier

Wat is dit slecht zeg

Wat is dit slecht zeg. ik heb de TD50X en ben al dagen bezig om er een up date in te krijgen. maar helaas. heb al contact gehad met support van Roland maar helaas.
veel te ingewikkeld en het doet niet wat ik vraag. heb gedaan wat er in de read me stond stap voor stap . en nog geen update. om gek van te worden. en dan de geluiden die er in zitten pffff toms zijn niet echt goed. te weinig keuze van alles. en dat voor dat geld. niet normaal . en het dynamisch bereik van deze elektronische set is niet zo mooi en groot als een akoestische set. en de hulp van Roland gaat echt heel erg achteruit. ik wil wel een update kopen. maar als een gebruiker die er niet in kan zetten op een makkelijke manier dan ga ik geen 229 euro uit geven aan nieuwe software.

Kein Kundendienst, kein Service, nichts. Nie wieder Roland oder Boss

Ich besitze eine Vielzahl von Roland und BossgerÀten und habe mich mit einem Problem an den Kundendienst gewandt. Sogar zweimal. Man bekommt von Roland Ìberhaupt keine Antwort, nichts. Das ist das letzte Mal, dass ich mir von dieser Firma irgendetwas kaufe. Die sollten sich mal ein Beispiel an den Marshall Kundendienst Service nehmen, hier bekommt man zu 1000 % eine Antwort. Aber man hat es ja nicht mehr nötig bei Roland.

Customer Service practically non-existent

Keyboard was fine. Was worth what I paid for it.

The customer service is horrible. The email representatives take days to get you sometimes and then just drop off after you respond to them for further information.

No phone number to speak to anyone.

All the repair places they send to you aren't helpful either.

Will not be buying a Roland product ever again. Just horrendous customer service for a company as big as they are.

Bluetooth Adapter fÃŒr einen Boss Dual


Bluetooth Adapter fÌr einen Boss Dual Cube XL Bass VerstÀrker wird als Zubehör fÌr ca. 50,- Euro verkauft. Das Koppeln funktioniert bei 15 Versuchen ein Mal. Offenbar hat der Adapter einen Fehler. Beim Service muss man 13 Mal hin und her schreiben und irgendwelchen Anweisungen folgen, die man ohnehin schon versucht hat und das auch im Email so beschrieben hat bis im 13 Mail die Antwort kommt, man soll sich beim HÀndler wegen GewÀhrleistung melden, die nach 2 Jahren halt nicht mehr vorhanden ist. Hab fÌr Roland Produkte in den letzten Jahren mehr als 3000-4000 Euro ausgegeben und werde das in Zukunft bei anderen Hersteller machen und kann nur jedem raten Roland Produkte zu meiden.

Bad Customer Service

I bought a floor model piano at costco, and when I brough it home the pedal did not work. I explained the full situation to Roland, and they advised me to take it to a repair shop as a warranty claim.
TLDR: It has now been 5 months and the repair shop will not call me back (they one time messaged me in March saying it was fall damage so not covered by warranty), and Roland who I contacted about the repair shop not talking to me has also stopped responding to my emails. So I am simply out a piano.

Won’t buy a Roland again, genos or tyros next.

Bought a Roland FA08 new for my teenage son, who now earns money as a musician. A month ago the keyboard just died, after being cared for well. Found a repair person. The powerboard has failed and it’s 8 weeks to order a new one from Roland. The motherboard might also need replacing but it would take another 8 weeks for Roland to deliver after the powerboard check. The cost for the parts alone is £600 plus the repair costs. The keyboard is probably worth £800 -£900. The sensible choice is to scrap it as the work can’t be abandoned for 3 months plus. Who has a spare £1000 to just replace things like that.
