Leider habe ich keine guten Erfahrungen mit RoomXXL gemacht und kann daher diese Plattform oder diesen Dienstleister nicht empfehlen.
Die Buchung von einem Hotel erfolgte im Feber für einen Urlaub im April. 3 Tage vor Antritt erhielt ich eine Nachricht, dass der damals gebuchte und bezahlte Preis nicht mehr gültig sei, da ein Partner wirtschaftliche Probleme hat. Die Mehrkosten waren erheblich (25%) und daher war das gebuchte Hotel nicht mehr attraktiv.

D.h. Trotz rechtzeitiger Buchung hat der Konsument keinen wirklichen Preisschutz. RoomXXL argumentiert mit höherer Gewalt.

Aus den erlebten Erfahrung kann ich diesen Dienstleister nicht empfehlen.

Ich habe über roomsXXL ein Zimmer gebucht. In der Hotelbeschreibung stand, dass barrierefreie Zimmer vorhanden sind – diese wurden jedoch nicht als buchbare Option angeboten. Ich habe daher die günstigste verfügbare Kategorie (Superior mit Frühstück) gebucht und anschliessend per E-Mail mitgeteilt, dass ich ein barrierefreies Zimmer benötige.

Nach fast einem Monat Bearbeitungszeit erhielt ich folgendes Angebot: Ein Classic-Zimmer – die unterste Kategorie des Hotels, kleiner, schlechtere Aussicht, ohne das in meiner Buchung enthaltene Frühstück – für 123 EUR mehr als meine ursprüngliche Buchung.

Also: mehr bezahlen für weniger Leistung, weil ich ein barrierefreies Zimmer brauche.

Auf meine Einwände wurde in jeder Antwort die Verantwortung ans Hotel weitergereicht. Eine eigene Lösung wurde nicht angeboten.

Für Personen mit Mobilitätseinschränkung kann ich roomsXXL nicht empfehlen.

Wheelchair user? Then this is the wrong platform for you.

I booked a room via roomsXXL. The hotel description mentioned accessible rooms, but none were available to book. I booked the cheapest available category (Superior with breakfast) and then contacted roomsXXL to request an accessible room.

After nearly a month, they offered me a Classic room – the hotel’s lowest category, smaller, worse view, and without the breakfast included in my original booking – for EUR 123 more.

So: pay more, get less, just because I need a wheelchair-accessible room.

Every response shifted responsibility to the hotel. No solution was offered.

I cannot recommend roomsXXL for guests with mobility needs.

Perfect, no problem

Due to the problems in the Middle East, our holiday was cancelled at the very last moment. I was not entitled to a refund, but RoomsXXL still managed to arrange the cancellation of my hotel booking, and I received my money back.

My issue with roomsXXL is not simply that the booking was non-refundable. I understood that.

My issue is that I was misled by contradictory information and handling, which resulted in a full-loss cancellation.

Due to a medical issue, I contacted the hotel (NH Collection Copenhagen). The hotel confirmed in writing that they could not refund, but they were exceptionally willing to allow/consider a date change, provided the request came through the booking channel (roomsXXL).

Despite this, the process through roomsXXL led to cancellation of the booking. After that, the hotel confirmed in writing that because the reservation had already been cancelled (24 Jan 2026), they could no longer amend the dates in their system.

roomsXXL then continued to state that no positive response / no date change was possible. In my case, that was directly inconsistent with the hotel’s written emails (which clearly said a date change was possible in principle via the booking channel before cancellation).

So to be precise:
this was not just an “unfortunate non-refundable booking.”

This was a case of misleading, contradictory case handling where a value-preserving option appears to have existed, but I was led into a no-refund cancellation outcome instead.

Result: approx. €1,600 lost, significant time wasted, and unnecessary stress.

I am willing to update this review if roomsXXL / profitrip management reviews the documented email trail properly and offers a fair resolution.

Reisedaten wurden manipuliert. Keine Erstattung ohne grossen Druck. Lauter Ausreden. Aktiv auf mich zugekommen. Telefonisch in Berlin nur English sprechend. Qualität der Verbindung unterirdisch.

La note de 5 étoiles n'a qu'un but, ne pas plomber sans justificatif une expérience qui n'a pas eut lieu.

Vos avis doivent porter uniquement sur l'expérience du prestataire intermédiaire.
Les plateformes ne sont en aucun cas responsable de la qualité de l'établissement, des nuisances où tout autre désagrément de l'établissement lui même.

J'ai 30 ans de voyages au compteur et des dizaines voir centaines de nuitées d'hôtels dans presque autant d'établissement.

Soyez factuel, précis et cohérent.
Ne vous laisser par emporter par l'émotion.
Un avis n'est précieux que s'il respect ces règles.

Wollte heute ein Hotel buchen über holidaycheck, sollte dann über Internetpin gehen und dann noch über Tan.Bei Eingabe und Anklicken stand das Angebot nicht mehr zur Verfügung -"ein Anderer war wohl schneller" war der Kommentar -auf der Seite HC bzw. Roomsxxl bestand das Angebot aber weiterhin noch-
nur über Master- oder Visacard über HC bei roomsxxl buchbar
"Deal nur noch heute buchbar" angepriesen

Goede en duidelijke reservering.
Prima geregeld!

Mkt bra läge. Ringde å bokade per telefon. Bra rum, billigt, ok frukost för bed and breakfast. Sköna sängar. Toa utanför rummet men var inga konstigheter. Rekommenderar starkt om några nätter i Stonehaven för utflykter.

Nach Buchung einer Reise über 734 Euro habe ich keine Bestätigung erhalten. Auf Nachfrage hat Rooms XXL mir eine Stornierungsanfrage zugestellt
die ich auch bestätigt habe. Da es sich um eine Buchung über eine nicht stornierbare Reise handelte, war das Geld weg. Trotz I-Mails und Schreiben habe ich keinen Euro zurückerhalten.
Die Aktion dauerte ca. 5 Min. Dieser Anbieter ist aus meiner Liste gestrichen.

Ich hatte eine Zimmerbuchung in Nürnberg, indirekt über Check24 bei RoomsXXL gebucht. Als ich ankam, gab es diese Buchung nicht. Es hat 2 Stunde gedauert, bis RoomsXXL reagiert hat und mir - über das CallCenter von Check24 - ein paar Kilometer entfernt ein anderes Hotel angeboten hat. Als ich dort angekommen bin, wusste man auch dort nichts von einer Buchung.
Ich sollte mir dann selber ein Hotel suchen. Zu Messezeiten leider fast unmöglich. Ich habe eine widerliche Absteige für ein paar Euro weniger ziemlich weit entfernt gefunden. Erstattet wurde mir durch den Vermittler Chceck24 nur ein Teil des Geldes, abgesehen vom Ärger und den Qualitäts-Unterschieden der Hotels. Von Check24 habe ich die schriftliche Aussage, dass sich RoomsXXL sozusagen tot stellen würde.
