I made a reservation for Manchester Victoria Roomzzz.

The reservation was for a one-night birthday celebration in Manchester. Despite booking well in advance, I was disappointed to discover that our room, situated at the very back of the hotel on the 2nd floor, presented a mild inconvenience due to my mild mobility issues. I assumed that an early booking might secure a more favorable location, especially considering the hotel was not fully booked at the time of my reservation. However, the room assigned gave the impression of a last-minute choice.

Upon entering the room, I was taken aback by its size, considering the hefty price tag (£162). I compared it to other rooms I've booked in the past for a similar cost, even within the Roomzzz chain in Manchester, and found the value for the size lacking. While I acknowledge the limitations of an old building, the disparity between the paid price and the room size seemed unjustified.

To exacerbate matters, there was a faint smell of urine upon entering the room, reinforcing my suspicion that we were assigned a hastily prepared room despite our advanced booking. Stray hairs on the freshly made bed, a malfunctioning toilet door that wouldn't close or lock properly, and erosion on a kitchen knife block added to the list of disappointments.

The bedside light had a loose switch, rendering it unusable, and our late-night meal in the hotel left us without the necessary tools to clean the dishes come morning, only a single hand towel provided.

In summary, this ranks among the most disappointing hotel experiences I've had, especially considering the premium paid for a Saturday night in a prime location. The size of the room, combined with various inadequacies, made for an overall subpar experience that I believe does not align with the price point.

The Manchester Victoria hotel deviates significantly from my perception of "Roomzzz." It stands as a polarizing experience in stark contrast to the high standards set by other Roomzzz establishments.

Leeds CIty West.

I had to think before i gave 1 star. Room 803. The staff were nice, the facilities in the room good, but then I thought to myself, Roomzzz entire job is to retailer rooms (!!) and if that isn't done well then the company is not taking care of its prime purpose and no amount of nice staff or freebies left in the room should compensate for that.

Firstly my room smelt. It wasn't a complete deal breaker but it smelt slightly of old fat. I guess from cooking and flavours stuck in curtains etc. Really dirty walls, dirt marks, grease marks.. look closely around the radiator or the grey walls inside.. plug sockets coming off when I pulled out plugs, food stuck to the cupboard door near the bin, I used the ironing board and the arm of my top that touched the floor came back up with fluff.. so I looked a little further.. dust in lots of places. TV screen marks all over, TV not tuned. Incredibly the remote was in a plastic bag.. i guess to protect the remote from the rest of the room?

I used to work in retail operations. When training my boss always taught me to look where I cannot see as not only are some people taller but that will give you a guide as to how clean a place really is. Look on the top of the wardrobe! I did that, not because I am nuts, but as I was hanging something up in the wardrobe, I chucked another item up above the door to hang up next as my hands were full. When I took it to hang up, it was absolutely filthy.

I got into the shower. The shower didn't work properly. The shower head doesnt stay up as the bracket is worn. Almost no variance from cold to hot. Either hot or very hot.. I got wet and pushed down the plunger to get the shower gel and discovered it was absolutely empty. Toilet roll holder is almost coming off, I could go on. The room was so so tired and disappointing.

The majority of the issues clearly arise when there is no adequate programme of investment in either people or trade to maintain the sort of up keep that should be expected. I often link that kind of lack of investment is either a business model that doesn't really work properly or managing cost for more profit. As long as customers keep booking, I guess both both can be gotten away with.

The model would have worked really well for me if it had been to the standard it should have been. Myself and my colleagues frequently use hotels in Leeds and this could have been easily recommended by me for folks that want some of the convenience the facilities provide that hotel rooms do not. Instead, when asked today ‘how was your night?’ they got the full story!

My stay in York.; absolutely perfect experience for all my family.
A tiny issue on my booking on check in, but all was swiftly resolved by Dan and Mel on the reception.
They could not have been more helpful - Mel was perfect over the two days, and made sure we were more than happy. The hotel has every facility you need and the location for the shops is only minutes away. I can’t wait to visit York and this lovely hotel very soon!

The room we had was the 2 bedroom loft family grande - it is to die for! Having said that, I’ve also experienced the other rooms and all superb.

I have stayed at Roomzzz Burley Road a number of times and I am never disappointed. The staff are all friendly, approachable, happy to help, and always make you feel welcome. Staff like Kyle, Amjid, Antoro and Debbie - to name a few. The rooms are of a good quality standard with everything you need ensuite, kitchen area that's fully equipped, TV, iron, etc. They are kept clean with regular bedding changes, extra towels. A sofa and desk are also provided supporting those here to work or relax.

I stayed in the Roomzzz in Leeds City Centre, only for one night (I wish it had been longer). It is a very convenient location for the station, and has shops and eating places nearby.
There was a warm welcome from Adam, who was extremely helpful and hospitable. My apartment was clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The WIFI was excellent and there are plenty of sockets and USB charging points. It was a much better standard of maintenance and cleanliness than most of the Leeds hotels I have stayed in. An included 'help yourself' continental breakfast is provided in the reception area, where there are also some provisions that can be bought.
All in all... faultless. I would willingly return, and try the other locations too. It is a great concept, well delivered, at a very fair price... well done.

I stayed in Leeds West to do some filming. The price was incredible, the rooms lovely and large, and the staff super friendly and helpful. Would 100% stay again.

Roomzzz Stratford is a great place with a secure and spacious car park. It is a luxury hotel with excellent professional staff, especially Karolina Otreba. I especially enjoyed my last stay in 2 beds + living room apartment. It has become my preferred choice whenever I have to drive to London.

I stayed at Roomzzz York for a couple of nights and was greeted with fantastic customer service from the moment I walked in until we left. The room and other communal areas were spotless. The location was perfect. The guidance and local knowledge from staff was extremely useful and I will definitely be returning. Emma and Danny who I met at the front desk were lovely.

I recently stayed at Roomzzz York, would highly recommend. Great location, clean spacious rooms and the staff were all so helpful and polite. I would definitely stay there again.

Iv just stayed at the York hotel and had such a fantastic time. The room was clean, modern and fresh but the icing on the cake was the staff! Im never disappointed by Roomzzz. The reason we stayed with them again in York is because of how lovely the team and Julian at the leeds City west hotel were. Top notch employees!!!

The team provides a high level of customer service and staff members are always eager to help.

Mark, the manager, is brilliant. He always makes sure all my requests are taken care of and that I am getting the best out of my stay.

Elizabeth is always polite, very friendly and extremely helpful.

The central reservations team is also very professional and polite.

Roomzzz, Manchester Victoria is centrally located which is very convenient if you, like me, work in the city centre. There are also so many different things to enjoy within walking distance.

What I love the most is that it's so quiet and peaceful as soon as I step into the building after work or a night out.

The rooms are beautiful and the beds super cozy. There is also an indoor gym, Washers/Dryers (shared) and free breakfast available for added convenience.

The cleanliness/hygiene levels of the rooms and the building are very good and well maintained. Regular housekeeping is also provided which takes away the stress of cleaning up after a long busy week.

Any issues/repairs are dealt with efficiently and most of them within the same day.

A concierge is also available 24/7 at reception which is very convenient. Security overnight also helps with peace of mind.

I'm looking forward to my stay with them in the New Year !

Stayed at Roomzzz Leeds City overnight while in Leeds and could not have been more pleased.

The reception staff was a delight to chat with and the room was a well-appointed mini apartment.

Also, as an added bonus the hotel is a few short minutes' walk from the train station and city centre.

My stay at Roomzzz hotel was great. Staff were friendly and one of them who welcomed me “Rifa” was very approachable, polite and helpful. The room was in great condition and very comfortable. I will highly recommend Roomzzz hotel to my family and friends.

Wow! It was a delightful stay at Leed city Roomzzz!. We are incredibly grateful for Michelle, from front office, who helped us settle in. Michelle was friendly, patient, attentive and thoughtful.

Had a wonderful experience staying in roomz hotel in leeds. The suite was clean and up to the standards. Hotel staff was excellent as well. Good place to stay if you're visiting leeds.

York was great. Highly recommend. They made us feel so welcome from the minute we walked through the door. We will deffo be back.
