Lazy and unhelpful SABA staff
Really poor signage at the Milton Keynes Quadrant car park, which caused me to neatly miss my train. I had mistakenly gone into the wrong car park, but was let in anyway, using the token for the other car park.
They the tried to charge me twice for
my stay.
No apology was offered when the customer service person opened the barrier. I suspect I’m not the only one who gets directed to the wrong car park by SABA’s own system.
And don’t get me started on how expensive it is.
I’ll be using other car parks in future.
Discrimination against disabled user
i am disabled user and was planning to park at Barkingside station to go to my hospital visit. At this station, there are only two disabled parking bays which were already used, so I decided to park at the nearest standard bay and displayed my valid Blue Badge. Post-hospital visit I came back to find a parking fine issued on my vehicle. I appealed against the decision and this was the response I received:
Having reviewed your appeal and the evidence provided, I can confirm that we have decided to uphold the Parking
Charge which was affixed to your vehicle within the Barkingside Station Car Park. This is because your vehicle was
observed as being parked without having obtained a valid ticket or cashless parking session.
Please be aware that this is a breach of the terms and conditions of parking. Motorists who are parking within the car
park are required to obtain a valid ticket or cashless parking session when entering the car park by using the PayByPhone
payment service. When our patroller observed your vehicle, they confirmed it was parked in breach of the terms and
conditions of parking, so they issued you with a Parking Charge.
We appreciate you displayed your Blue Badge in the windscreen, however as per the teams and conditions of the car
park blue badge holders are only able to park in Blue badge bays for free and if you park in a standard bay, you must pay
the tariff of the car park.
The car park is allocated on a first come, first served basis; this means that if there are no available parking bays then you
must leave the car park to seek alternative parking or pay for the price of the bay you are parked in.
THIS IS DISCRIMINATION AND I WOULD ADVISE TO ANYONE TO AVOID THIS CAR PARK. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Saba parking is awful avoid
This carpark near to the station in Milton Keynes is utterly awful. Avoid at all costs. If you are unlucky enough to be parked there expect to spend the night locked out after 2300. Fancy a 200£ taxi ride home and back next day to pick up your car? Then full fee for the privilege. That’s robbery Saba. Also it stinks of urine and unsafe after dark if you’re older or female.

Machine didnt work and tried 2 separate cards, none worked. Friend tried and came up with a tick on his applepay and then said valid until 11am then boom letter saying 2 , 60 pounds i need to pay for keeping my car in Bletchley train station for 10hrs. Ridiculous, scamming and draining innocent peoples money
Money grabbers and extortionate fines
Money grabbers and extortionate fines. I have used Saba parking for years and have never not paid for a ticket. I purchased a ticket and received a fine saying I hadn't paid. Checking my receiptI realised I had paid for the day before. A genuine mistake and not trying get free parking. I appealed the fine, saying that I did pay, but on the wrong day and that you can see I didn't enter the carpark on that day, which means I did pay for parking. They rejected the appeal, saying I can't appeal again. Only the owner of the vehicle can appeal, not the driver, stupid, as the owner wasn't the one booking the car park and using it! Terrible customer service with no empathy at all for consideration of a mistake!
I question the accuracy of their technology
Went to London 3 times in February. the first time the app would not work at all, so paid at the station. It was not efficient at all.
Second time the payment was accepted at the station but it seems that it did not go through. I have received a fine.
Third time was also difficult. Overall, their technology is dreadful - that may be intentional to gain funds.
Overbooking of Car Park at Lichfield Trent Valley
Paid for ticket in advance online. Thought we would have an available space. Car Park was full on arrival in both car parks! Therefore had to park on an end, not in a specified slot! Wasn't blocking anybody in but still got a ticket, as did a few other cars around us. Appealed it and appeal was refused! Very, very annoying! £60! Take care when parking here!
Sneaky and shady
Parking charges introduced where parking had been free for over a century. Of course people used to using the car park were caught out like sitting ducks. £60.
No point in appealing because they are in contract with the appeals body (not independent as proposed law would have it). Popla masquerade as offering a legal service but employ barely illiterate arbiters. Just a scam all the way.
Bottom Crawlers
Bottom Crawlers. That's the only possible way to describe a company that leeches off the NHS. They "manage" parking services for NHS in Scotland. In other words they've been handed public access to something that belongs not to the private sector, but to us, the people. Thereby giving them a licence to print free taxpayer money.
I'm here reviewing an example of their excessive greed, idiocy and mean-spiritedness. Let's travel to the beautiful city of Dundee. Picture the scene, the sun is out, there's a bitter coastal wind blowing straight through you and the tide is out leaving sand flats as far as the eye can see, reaching almost right across the Silvery Tay to the Kingdom of Fife.
Sadly your attention is diverted from the weather and stunning scenery to your very poorly loved one, and indeed your own current ill health. Getting up early to arrive for an emergency appointment at 8am, the car parks are already busy. You find a space and display a ticket next to your prominently displayed blue badge.
To digress slightly, the blue badge scheme exists of course for DISABLED PEOPLE. Both the driver and passenger in the car are DISABLED PEOPLE. It generally allows the disabled community to have closer parking access, for example to assist a mobility disability, and as such it allows parking for an indeterminate, but of course reasonable, time to park. It might take you longer to walk back to your vehicle, or you may use a wheelchair or walking aid. The little paper ticket from the Saba machine is therefore entirely superfluous and way down the parking hierarchy.
Fast forward to the lengthy appointment to consider the possibility of a life-limiting condition for a very young adult, and the resultant stress, worry and concern for any parent or loved one. That consideration is for the general population who would understand either through similar experience, or basic human empathy, the tremendous pressure the patient and their loved ones are under in this scenario.
Not so Saba. Their staff, perhaps not their fault, have clearly not had training in what the use of a blue badge means. They seem to have no comprehension that to hold a blue badge, the user will have undergone a rigorous process of assessment. The status is undeniable: if you hold a blue badge you are disabled. For a different review, but worthy of note, Perth & Kinross Council have failed to recognise the valid disability status of a good number of its residents by denying a blue badge, and shame on them for that.
Back to the point in hand. Saba decide, despite seeing a valid blue badge on a car parked at a major hospital, that because the paper ticket wasn't renewed, they must impose a £60 fine. The reasons the ticket wasn't renewed: the patient and their carer were in deep discussion with specialist doctors; the carer has significant mobility issues and a long walk back to the car was prohibitive (hence why they have a blue badge in the first place).
Now aside from the spiteful & petty nature of the issuing of a parking fine, let's consider for a moment the disability income gap. In Scotland currently, almost 50% of disabled people are unemployed, and there is a consequent gap of more than 30% in the pay of disabled and non-disabled workers. Disability benefits (not means tested) are there to address the additional costs of living as a disabled person in a societal model which is not designed for the disabled.
So, Saba, let's see if you have the audacity to try to defend your policy/process/actions and commit disability discrimination, for that is what you did here. An appeal has been lodged, but the carer in this story would relish the opportunity to challenge Saba in court and let them lay out their greed in a public forum.
To conclude, there is one reason and one alone for this entire debacle: Maggie Thatcher (spits). Had it not been for her removal of collective society and its replacement with the cult of individualism, we would still, as the general public, irrespective of our role in society, own all public utilities. Beware the privatisation of anything. And never, ever forgive the Tories. Ever. Or Tony Blair.
This company is just one big scam
This company is just one big scam, sending a fine even though I booked through their website with the correct place and car. How is this company not being closed down? I think the BBC watchdog should investigate this company ASAP. DO NOT USE THEM
The whole process is floored
The whole process is floored, I tried to pay by phone and on line within the 14 days but ZZPS could not take the money due to my penalty notice not being registered on the system - I then get a £170 fine for late payment. I have tried to resolve on 5 occasions, spending over 1 hour on the phone to be told we cant do anything about it - complete bullies , you just get threatened with extra charges - I would recommend you stay away from these parking area's.
What a joke of a company
What a joke of a company, twice now they have charged me when both times I paid, once on the app that never recorded the transaction, second when i used the machine and they said I never got a ticket......avoid at all costs.
Quite simply the worst parking system
Quite simply, the worst parking company I have ever dealt with. Extortionate cost, an app geared towards making you pay as much as possible for the least amount of time possible, and the need to repeat everything over and over again for no apparent reason. Simple the worse
Scammers - penalty notice despite correct purchase
Don’t use or ever trust Saba. Paid for parking at correct train station on the app which clearly shows this location on the ticket, as does the email receipt. Out of the blue they sent a penalty notice claiming I paid for a different location, despite the receipt and app clearly showing otherwise! They refused the appeal, and were so rude saying their “system” still shows a different location despite the clear evidence on their app and receipt! How ridiculous is this? Now having to appeal separately through POPLA, what a waste of everyone’s time on such a non existent claim!
Got a parking ticket for parking on the…
Got a parking ticket for parking on the grass, I was struggling to get a parking spot at Bassetlaw hospital a couple other cars had parked on the grass clear of obstruction so I also parked on grass also( in a rush to see my grand mother before she passed away) I came out paid for my parking and was greeted to a parking notice or greedy notice. Absolute joke. Private companies making money off this is vile.
This is a scam car park
This is a scam car park. I received a £170 penalty from recovery agency even though they did not send any letter in the first instance. They cannot provide proof of delivery for the original notice, yet the recovery company somehow managed to deliver their letter to my address. How does that work? Be careful
DIABOLICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Parking at Hertfordshire hospitals. APP DOES NOT WORK! Not at all surprised my experience the same as others. Company does not deserve to be in business
Saba Parking ripped me off at Stratford International
I parked my car at Stratford International car park on 11.01.2026, primarily to use one of the charge points in the car park. I was there just less than an hour (15:08 to 16:04) and was shocked to find when I went to pay at the machine that I was charged £28.75 instead of the £8.75 or so for up to 4 hours. It appears that there was some kind of event parking going on and whilst there were some signs, it was not at all clear that this fee of £28.75 would be charged whether you stay for 10 mins or hours, and this is quite scandalous. My assumption from the signs was that this was some kind of maximum fee payable after a certain number of hours or something and would not be applied to parking for less than an hour. I requested a refund but it was refused as I had ‘paid the correct charges’. I also recommend that signage for event fees is made MUCH, MUCH clearer and that it is made clear you can exit the car park without being charged within 10 mins. I thought that once I was parked, I would be charged a parking fee come what may so I did not leave, assuming that the fee would at worst be £8.75 and not the extortionate £28.75.
Unfair Penalty Notice
Parked at Redditch train station 16.24 train was in so decided to pay on return to station got back 23.25 tried to use the machine to pay but was not working
Daughter tried to pay on the app but it kept freezing dropped daughter home and then tried to pay again via app and then via PC eventually got connected after midnight. Would not let me pay for parking used had to pay for a new day so paid £5.40 for 24 hours parking albeit on the day after if you like. Got a penalty notice in the post, rang up but was told to lodge an appeal, which was subsequently rejected
Paid £60 penalty notice as just getting more and more frustrated
Blue Badge in a wheelchair and still got a ticket
Parked at Wolverhampton Rail Station in a disabled space displaying my blue badge. I am a wheelchair user and have an adapted vehicle. It takes a few minutes to get all set up and be able to move away. Same upon return, I have to stow my chair and make way to driver seats. Non of this can be done in a few minutes. I wasnt aware of the time limit it doesn't say on the parking space sign. I was 3 minutes over the so called 20 minutes and issued a ticket. Of course I tried to appeal it but they refused my appeal stating, "Blue Badges are not exempt from regulations", utter rubbish. I am disgusted with these scammers, any old rope. Be aware almost all appeals with this lot are denied.
