No option to leave a 0 star. Do not use this company. Ordered my son’s bed weeks ago, heard nothing. Emailed and got ignored completely, finally heard from them to tell me it would be a week or so - 3 weeks have past and no bed - I have emailed numerous times and phoned and neither have been picked up or replied to. So far £500 down and nothing to show for it. Fuming

Ordered mid March, was estimated to be delivered early this week but nothing has arrived.

Have tried emailing, live chat, calling - no response at all. Zero communication since the initial order confirmation email.

Looks like the company ran into financial difficulty last summer and is now running under new owners as far as I can tell. Which coincides with when the reviews plummeted. Being open for just a couple of hours a day shows how seriously they are taking their business.

It’s bordering on criminal that this company takes significant sums of money off their customers, doesn’t deliver the products, all whilst offering zero communication.

Genuinely disgusting behaviour from this company, first negative review I have ever left in my life but it’s well warranted for these frauds.

Has anyone who posted below received their beds as yet? Ours was due on 12th April and I’m wondering whether it will ever show up or if we need to buy an alternative and request a refund. Many thanks in advance.

Another similar review unfortunately! Order placed 28/02/24 and full payment taken. Estimated delivery 18th to 20th March. No contact from Scallywags at all. Finally a delivery date of 10/04/24. Contacted on the 09/04/24 to say it wouldn’t arrive and rearranged for 15/04/24. No delivery arrived, finally got hold of them and told it would be delivered today, 18/04/24. It’s 2pm now, no bed and no contact and nobody is answering the phone or replying to any messages or emails. Please be very careful!

I am currently waiting for response to when my daughters bed will be ready, expected delivery march and am currently not getting any response to calls and email.

My daughter is vey upset about not having her new(from )bed as was ordered in enough time for a birthday present.

There seems to be a running theme at the moment!
I placed an order on the 22nd February with an expected date of 19th-21st March that date came and went.
I chased it up on the 22nd March finally getting through to someone on the phone after several tries over the day, stated we were going away at Easter. It was then confirmed my order would delivered after we got back on the 12th April.
No further communication from the company. I have left 2 voicemails and an email this week with no response!
Very very poor customer service.
Honesty and communication is key and unfortunately your loosing valuable customers!
Will be asking for a refund

Been waiting two months for my daughters bed that has not arrived and no update and no communication from the company to tell me why! Eventually got hold of someone to be told they are struggling to get parts, but failed to put this when I ordered the bed which told on website was 5-7workings days. Took the money. False advertisement. Not happy at all

I ordered a bed beginning of Feb for my daughter. The estimate delivery date has come and gone and I had no communication from this company at all. After numerous emails, live chat and everything else I could think of I finally get a response saying there is a delay in manufacturing. Since then nothing, no update at all so I am back to chasing again. This is such diabolical customer service for a company that charges serious amount of money for a bed. There is absolutely no communication and I have wasted so much time chasing. I have already paid for part of the order but I going to ask for a refund and cancel the order as it's just ridiculous

Order placed on 23/01/24 for child’s bed, mattress, cupboard and drawers. Original delivery estimate 16-20th Feb.

Chased for an update on 12/02/24, to ensure someone would be home on the delivery date. Told there were delays in the factory, and that we would receive a call soon with a delivery date.

Tried calling numerous times, phone is never answered irrespective of what time of day we call.

Follow up email on 21/02/2024 asking for a delivery date, or just a call back and explanation. No response.

Numerous unanswered phone calls and then a further follow up email on 28/02/2024. No response.

Our son keeps asking when his big boys bed is going to arrive, and we keep having to say we don’t know, and he gets upset by this.

My wife is also heavily pregnant, and we are waiting on these items to be able to then sift furniture around to our new arrivals bedroom

This lack of response is totally unacceptable. I do not care if they are spending 16 hours a day in the factory making the beds: you need instead to spend 15 hours making the beds and 1 hour responding to your concerned customers. That would be good customer service. No one likes bad news, but that it always preferable to radio silence.

It makes you wonder whether this company is in financial trouble and is about to go bust and they are just collecting cash from people with no intention of ever providing the goods purchased. Luckily we have purchased on a credit card.

Hopefully my poor review of your business will actually help it get on top of orders by reducing future custom to a level where the business can actually deliver on its promises.

Ordered a bunk bed for our grandchildren. Fantastic build quality, which exceeded expectations. The grandkids love it too!

Had to give 1 as I don't give 0. Do not use this company. I placed an order online and received order confirmation email. Subsequently I received an email to say the order had been cancelled. When I reached out to find out why, I was told it was due to a pricing error and I could reorder at the correct price. No offer to rectify the situation or fulfil my original order that they had accepted. Rubbish and left me and my son feeling extremely disappointed.

It was time to redecorate and update my grandchildren's bedrooms. They both wanted bunk beds and whilst this was possible for the eldest, the youngest has a much smaller room which would have been totally overwhelmed by a standard bunk bed. An ordinary bed would have been a huge disappointment so we decided that the best way forward would be a Cabin Bed.
Sadly Cabin beds also proved to be too large until we found the Scallywag Kids website. We were able to buy both boys beds from this company which displayed reviews suggesting that their products were exactly what we wanted. We were not disappointed. The company were excellent and the beds we received are fantastic. Easy to build and the quality was excellent.
I just want to say a huge thank you to the team at Scallywag Kids. You have made two little boys extremely happy. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and indeed use them again in the future.

Ordered the Narrow Richmond storage bed (as box room is very small). Extremely pleased with the quality and ease of assembly of the bed. From the very start Gary was very helpful with the measurements and construction queries we had. Delivery was on time. Would highly recommend Scallywag kids to anyone looking for a well constructed, smart looking bed and will definitely last for years.

I just received my sons bedroom furniture from scallywags. This is such high end quality I'm amazed. My son had a tiny bedroom which I felt wouldn't be enough for anything more than a bed. It really is tiny.
Gary the manager took the room measurements then hand picked the furniture so there would be enough walking space!

I bought a high sleeper, so a wardrobe would fit underneath and the frame had built in shelves and a desk. I also bought a two chest of draws, to fit underneath, and a mattress.

I'm so pleased with this purchase and the quality.

This bed will last him well into late teens and still look appropriate.

My son usually has insomnia and struggles to sleep. The first time he slept on the mattress he was gone like a light!

So many problems were solved with this purchase.
I think the most important fact is the quality of the items.. its more expensive but looks and feels like luxury.

Absolutely fantastic company. Purchased a bed and there was a problem with the sliding draws underneath. Mailed them and a real person actually called me, apologised and sent me the parts needed to fix next day! So good to deal with a company that values its customers

We wanted to utilise the space in our house and make use of the box bedroom. The space does not allow for a standard sized bed and therefore I was delighted to come across the Scallywag shorty bed! After doing my research I quickly concluded that no where makes a shorty bed like Scallywags, with a wide range of associated storage/furniture options!

When my order arrived I quickly realised that I had accidentally ordered the standard sized bed instead of the shorty! I frantically rang the customer service team and was greeted by Siobhan! The customer service was excellent! They were reassuring and quickly resolved my issue, agreeing to exchange the bed! Given the beds are made to order I did not expect this generous offer!!

We have previously had other cabin beds and the Scallywags quality is beyond comparison!! The bed is solid and the paint work is literally perfect! The bed has turned an unfuctional box into a bedroom with a bed, a desk and a sofa bed/chair!

We have one happy little boy!! Thank you so much to the Scallywags Team!

We had a slight issue with the delivery time and Siobhan in the customer service team, very quickly resolved it, by ensuring that the delivery arrived at a specific time, that suited us. Our bed arrived at the time promised! Fantastic customer service and delivery!
