I Feel for you guys n girls that only have this dealership for your Ducati
I have moto rapido and snell to choose from when home, but I’m away working at Snetterton.
Snell say 2 hours max, 1098s sprag clutch replacement.@ £125
Ducati verwood said 2 to 3 hours .
Your Seastar super bikes are £130 an hour and quoted me 4 to 5 hours.
You’re probably being fleeced using this dealership, and their mechanics ????? Would you trust a mechanic that thinks a 1098 flywheel is on a taper and may take extra hours to get off? The 1098 isn’t tapered, it’s just a locknut.

On 11/02/2024 I purchased from Seastar Kawasaki Norwich a 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX Performance Tourer with 7106 recorded miles.

The motorcycle was in excellent condition having had 2-previous owners.

I part exchanged a 2020 Gen 5 Kawasaki ZX10R KRT Replica with 8868 recorded Miles which was in excellent condition with many extras which I had purchased for this motorcycle. I was the 2nd owner and all Services had been carried out as scheduled, the last being an Annual Service at 8569 Miles.

Prior to delivery to my home in The Cotswolds of the Ninja 1000SX and collection of the ZX10R an Service had been carried out on the Ninja 1000SX at 7106 Miles by Seastar Kawasaki Norwich, together with an MOT albeit its 1st MOT was not required until 01/04/2024.

It seemed sensible to get this done early as a week after I received the Ninja 1000SX my wife and I were departing for Australia and didn’t return until 05/04/2024.

It wasn’t until my return to the UK that I realised that the Service carried out by Seastar Kawasaki Norwich at 7106 Miles was an Annual Service and not a 7600 Mile Scheduled Service which I was expecting.

The Kawasaki Rideology App & Motorcycle Recorded Service Information was showing that the next Service was due by 08/02/2025 at 11200 Miles and not at 15200 Miles as I was expecting.

When I enquired with Seastar Kawasaki Norwich about the reason for Annual Service being done and not a 7600 Mile Service I was informed that the motorcycles mileage indicated it was not due for a 7600 Mile Service. I stated its recorded mileage when sold to me was 7106 being 494 Miles shy of the Scheduled Mileage Service.

I expressed my disappointment and dismay that a Kawasaki Main Dealer would cheap scape this and asked them to supply a new set of spark plugs which would have been fitted had the Mileage Service been done by them.

Seastar Kawasaki Norwich supplied a new set of Spark Plugs which I had fitted locally on 16/05/2024.

Seastar Kawasaki Norwich had manipulated the next Service at 11200 Miles as the Service Indicator would have come on within a few hundred miles of riding the Ninja 1000SX.

Today, 18/07/2024 I visited the Service Dept of Greenham Kawasaki, Nr Newbury to enquire when my next Service is actually due to keep my Service History Record for this machine up to date.

To facilitate this Greenham Kawasaki would need to inspect and adjust the items that would have been over and above the Annual Service, together with Changing Brake Fluids and Engine Coolant. This will then enable the Service Record to show that my Ninja 1000SX next Mileage Service to be 15200.

The cost for this to be done will be £385.02 to myself. I have it booked in for this to be done by Greenham Kawasaki on 07/08/2024.

I am extremely disappointed with what Seastar Kawasaki Norwich did over this and would advise any one looking to purchase a used machine from them to double check with them as to what they are actually going to do when they say the Motorcycle you are looking to purchase will receive a Full Service Prior to Sale.

Nothing to do with Seastar Kawasaki Norwich I am otherwise very pleased with my Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX Performance Tourer which I ridden a total of 2802 miles on.

The staff were excellent. Keep me informed with my order (was on a back order). Called me about my order with doubled checking the size I'd ordered and changed the size i had ordered as wrong. Fast delivery.

I have visited this dealership twice now, several months apart and on each occasion (and the last one was just this week) the place has been deserted. The door was open, the bikes were outside and on display but no staff to be seen anywhere - both times! Now there is a fine line between being left alone to browse and having someone to ask questions of but if there are no staff visible at all it gives a very poor impression. I looked at and sat on a few bikes, saw several offices and desks but all devoid of people. Other potential customers came and went and between us we all failed to attract any sign of life from the absent staff. I can only assume that your business is doing so well that you have no interest in new customers, so I will therefore go a little further afield and buy my new Kawasaki from a different dealership.
