My issue is we've watched all that we want to buy it takes months for Showmax to upload a new season. I've been checking on favourite shows but they are very, very old and yet no new uploads. Reatsotella, Lekunutu, Xrepo and many other local shows are loved by many who cannot afford Dstv, but we are stuck on old shows which aired originally about 3 years ago. Question is what's the point of having Showmax?

First i access the app and realize i need to update my account. The app page says go showmax.com but it's not a URL link. Just text. Okay i go to the site and can't log on for days now with 'sorry there is a problem'. Is someone trying to close business here??? Pathetic service!!!

Im pretty sure grade 10 IT students could build a website with much less glitches.

Showmax is behind. They don't update their series and some stories just start with the eighth season and then seasons 1 to 7 aren't even there, how can one follow a story if they are so slow. Do better Showmax

I did their Showmax premier league and entertainment subscription using the card payment option available on their website and the payment went through to one M-SAT Nigeria Limited, I contacted their support for days asking them why the subscription isn't working for me and they denied any affiliation with M-SAT and I was told to contact my bank for a refund which they already know is impossible. Till date they did nothing about it, my money gone like that.
PS: M-SAT is in their official page and I made the payment on their website not a third party website.

Mommy Club Sugar and Spice 2024 is a trashy, local show showcasing wealthy Indian Durbanites who flash their lifestyles in the face of extreme poverty that that region experiences. Inspire the world by charity and other ways not showing off your cars and children. Pathetic show.

Purchased a Showmax subscription for R99. Realised the next day that I had not added the product correctly to my DSTV to receive the discount and pay R49. Spoke to a manager at the call centre to explain my error and kindly ask to reverse the R99 and connect for R49 going forward. He proceeded to shout at me, said I can't return a used product and that it was my fault. They were happier to see me go.

They have disconnected my account because they had a technical system that failed to take my payment, no communication was shared about the system issue, I had to reach out to chat agent who tells me “sorry” they were in the process of sending communication out, Showmax has failed a customer and compensates them by unsubscribing customer , very poor customer experience!, would not recommend Showmax to anyone

Very poor service! Sucks with longings! I have updated payment plan but still ℹ can’t access to my account! Pathetic service

They’re not consistent in showing their movies, even if there are technical issues, you owe it to your subscribers to communicate to them! It’s been 2 weeks and Chetam episode 61 is yet to be out! Is it the final season? How about Checkout and Glasshouse? This is completely unprofessional and unethical! You can’t leave viewers hanging.

Constant delay in uploading content such as tinsel which airs 7:30pm West Africa time on weekdays
Sometimes it takes days for episodes to be uploaded even after numerous complaints through twitter DM and their chat box.

I had a terrible experience with showmax. The staff are rude and unhelpful, and the showmax is mediocre at best. I would not recommend showmax to anyone. If I could, I would rate them with Zero stars.

I want a refund from Showmax!!!
This is fraud, I pay to watch football and your joke of an app does not work, just says "reload app".
If you do not refund all sport subscribers I will start a class action and shut you down!
How can you ever expect to get customers back after this? A MONTH not working, no comms about why or maybe an apology.

Negative support. It auto subscribed itself then when we do it again for all devices it only allow mobile only

Showmax worked perfectly until the end of January when they started with their "new app". Being a DSTV customer Showmax was included in the subscription. At the beginning of Feb Showmax started saying I had no subscription. So I contacted their email support and whatsapp support. The guy on Whatsapp said I wouldn't be able to login until 12 Feb when they had migrated. Well after a few emails to support which take 5+ days to get a response I'm still unable to login and watch. This has been a month now! What's the point of being a customer when they don't want customers.
