An excellent experience. The Hebridean Way was my first cycling holiday. The Skedaddle Team Liz, Kate & Ruth did an outstanding job in ensuring we had a rewarding experience. The tour was well organised and well executed. Accommodation and meals were also very good.

A trip around the Cotswolds. Excellent planning and good accommodation. Very well guided and will certainly be booking more holidays.

Just back and now fully recovered from a challenging but very satisfying cycle in the Outer Hebrides. The weather wasn't as kind as it could/should have been for this time of year but the "we're in this together" mindset of my fellow companions meant a great deal of understanding and empathy to get through the tough parts and thoroughly enjoy the good parts. There were a lot of good parts. The Saddle Skedaddle team consisting of Liz, Ruth and Kate were just brilliant. We didn't go short of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and food....way too much to be itemised here! As stated by previous reviewers, pre-trip info was good and accommodation was good (one hotel outstanding), hotel food was excellent and seemed to get better as the holiday progressed. I had a lot of Cullen Skink soup on this trip and I love it! Harris was especially pretty but also the most physically demanding, but then I'm a middle aged fart and was on a MTB. Why did i do that?? I wouldn't recommend a MTB if bringing your own bike (or use slick tires as recommended in the blurb doh!), that's my top tip of the day. Would I recommend cycling the Outer Hebrides.... Yes!
Already got my eye on a few more bike holidays. WARNING: Highly addictive holidays. I may die poor but I'll have great thighs!

Just back from a fantastic week cycling the Hebridean way on a guided tour. The pre-trip information was excellent, our guides were highly organised and they really looked after us. Great scenery, good hotels and a great group of people to cycle with. I will remember this trip for a long time.

An amazing experience all round. The communication prior to the trip was excellent, the hotels were great, the food was amazing, as were the guides Lorna and Liz. I'll definitely be doing another cycling holiday with Skedaddle. Thank you so much!

I had an incredible experience on the Eden Valley trip with some of the loveliest routes I've ridden, wonderful guides, and great accomodations.

Just returned from an excellent cycle tour in Mongolia. The communication before the trip was first class, clear details were provided about the trip, route, accommodation, etc.
Once on the trip everything went to plan, the 8 local crew were all incredible, they looked after us very well. The cook and his assistants managed to cook meals for meat eaters, vegetarians and feed the local crew, on a two ring stove in a cook tent. Providing something filling and different each day. It's a lovely route, remote, ever changing scenery. You need to be reasonably fit as the riding, although not long days, is quite demanding with some steep, loose gravelly hills, but the jeep is never far away if it gets too much. Highly recommended.

I used this company to book a self-guided bicycle tour on the southwest coast of Sweden. It was my first time using Skedaddle. They provided excellent service and were always available. I was actually surprised to get a phone call ( I'm in the U.S. and the company is in the U.K.) before we left from a company rep checking to make sure we didn't have any last minute questions. That's customer service!
Skedaddle doesn't actually run the tour. They contract with a local Swedish company, whom they presumably vet. The Swedish company was also excellent.

We recently did the self guided Camino Primitivo holiday which was amazing. The trip ran seemlessly thanks to Saddle Skedaddle organising our accommodation, taxis and luggage transfer. We were provided with the GPX for the route which was easy to follow and the accommodation was of a high standard. Information provided before the trip was very good, including the distance and elevation each day and what to take on the trip. We would highly recommend Saddle Skedaddle.

I recently rode the Caledonia Trail with Saddle. The experience was excellent and I highly recommend the tour. Scenery, food, accommodation were all up to the usual high Saddle standards. And the guides of course (Richard, Anna and Ian) took care of all our needs. I hired a gravel bike and it served me well. And even the weather (for Scotland in May) cooperated. Five star.

My fourth trip with Skedaddle and the best so far! The iconic Lands End to John O’Groats did not disappoint. We started in an unprecedented heat wave in Cornwall and finished in brisk cool winds in Scotland. The weather was as varied as the British scenery but I wouldn’t want it any other way. This is cycle touring at its best with Skedaddle ensuring we can focus on enjoying the journey whilst they manage the detail. Fully recommend this ride of a lifetime.

Just completed two Saddle Skedaddle
Trips - Slovenia and recently Provence.
Both so well organised and the cycling GPS apps worked well with no hiccups or glitches.
Accommodation as described and really good back up support from the local contact.

I have completed 6 rides with SS and i have thoroughly enjoyed them all (perhaps less so when on a hard climb on a very hot day 😁)
They're extremely well organised from start to finish, the guides have always been knowledgeable and helpful, the accommodation has always been a good standard (some are rustic but always clean and comfortable).
The provided lunches and snack stops are good quality and plentiful, likewise the provided even meals have always been in good restaurants. All of the above is reflected in the price you pay, you get what you pay for. I will continue to use SS ... I may be going electric soon though to ensure SS trips for a long time to come 👌

This is our 4th time with SS and it did not disappoint. We spent 6 glorious days cycling through Provence secure in the knowledge that their extremely capable local contact James was at the end of the phone to help sort things out if they went wrong. The excellent app that they use, Ride With GPS, gave us both spoken and map guidance. Stopping at local patisseries at the drop of a hat was part of the fun. One of the hotels in Sant-Remy-de-Provence could have been better but overall the 3* hotels were adequate (we spent the money we saved on hotels on eating fabulous French food). Beware that outside large cities gluten sensitivity is not a big consideration for the French, in my experience. Next stop Sweden!

Everything about our holiday was spot on. The Saddle Skedaddle team are knowledgable and experienced, and gave great advice and guidance in choosing and preparing for our holiday. Plus they supported us throughout, just checking in to make sure everything was OK, and even setting up a fabulous wine tasting tour whilst we were there. The bikes were perfect for the cycling we were doing and the local hire company rep was helpful and reliable, ensuring we had all the kit we needed and getting our luggage collected and transported without any fuss. I would highly recommend Saddle Skedaddle - and the 'La Rioja' tour is brilliant.

We have been on 5 Saddle Skedaddle holidays to date (3 in the UK and 2 in Italy), with another Italian one coming up in September. The reason that we keep coming back is that there are still plenty of itineraries that suit us, and the staff that we speak to are always professional and helpful.

First, a really great selection of cycle tours. We went to South West Spain. The route was great and everything was well organised and supported. We hired ebikes and these were modern and in great condition perfectly prepared.

Did the Lochs and Glens last year with a few problems but decided to try again with the Californian Way trip.
First problem was no promised on street parking in Connel for the week. Very small side streets where car would be an obvious obstruction.
The major problem for us was no promised secure storage for our expensive E-bikes. Our first two night hotel suggested storing them in the open beer garden. The second hotel suggested the open car park at the rear. None of the receptionists were expect bikes but the hotel in Fort William let us put them in a tiny cramped room where they stored the beer. Unfortunately it was at this hotel where we had someone else’s luggage. They were in another hotel and we had a two hour wait while the luggage was taxied around.
Another problem was a lack of refreshment stops as promised on the Ride app. Several places were closed and had been all year. 34 miles into Fort Augustus without a stop. We were told to stock up on food and drink at the Connel ferry but everything was closed. Clearly no one had checked any of the above for some time, probable because it was all a way marked Sustrans route and needed very little planning by SS. For a £1300 holiday it was very disappointing.

I'm just back from 'Sardinia - Island Flavours' guided holiday. Like all previous Skedaddle trips it was wonderful! There was a good mix of terrain (mountains to islands), lots of roller coaster cycling and delicious picnics prepared by the guides. The dinners in agritourism farms/restaurants were exceptional - a very special aspect of this trip.
