Payed upfront about 3 weeks in advance.I tried to contact them regarding time and date of moving.Would not answer my texts,phone calls or email.Got mucked around on date and time.Day of moving time got set forward from 8 am to 3 pm.Then rang and said we be there at 11 am.Truck was too small.Didint move all my stuff.On the phone alot ,doing nothing.Truck had one break light.Old rough truck.One guy was bad tempered and looked over it.

We moved from Kempton Park to Swartruggens last year, end of July. At first we were impressed but that changed quickly.
They were late both days, under quoted us entirely, we had to pay for additional bubble wrap, boxes and an additional truck. The last truck go here after 01h00 the morning. Many things were damaged, dishwasher got a dent, my husband have an entire collection of planes that was damaged as it was just dumped in a box. The owner promised to refund us R6000 towards the damages but up to date, we are still waiting for the last R2500 to be paid. If you follow up, you will get empty promises and always telling that "he is a man of his word". Will never recommend them to anyone and will surely not use them ever again.

Moving day, no Smart movers. I called and they cancelled on me. Up to now, I have not received a refund of the money I paid. I tried calling smart movers and no answer. I believe this company is a scam. Watch out!!!

Confined by Covid to Penzance, I engaged Smarter Movers to clear my deceased mother's flat in Chippenham, 200 miles away. Her flat is part of a sheltered housing complex, managed by a warden. Today I received a text message from the warden telling me that there had been rudeness to her and to a resident, that a window in the flat had been left open, that the movers had been careless about using masks and that rubbish had been left. She also attached a photo showing a long scratch along the wall outside the lounge.
All this, coupled with the peremptory demands for payment, should act as warning never to use these people. They showed no respect for property or other people's feelings.

Dont want to give a star. Absolute awful service and experience! Do not just have a quote on phone, i said i have a 2 bedroom house worth with garden furniture and things in shed, lawnmower the usual. They quoted me an amount. They arrived 2 hours late! The guys said they only got told the night before of the time to which time they had something planned before coming to me. I had an engineer coming to the new place. They eventually arrived in a top luton van, that they thought could move a 2 bedroom house as explained. Im a hairdresser not a removals person so i wouldn't know about this. So of course not everything fitted and then they used another small van and still was not able to bring all my things from an hours drive away! They took forever to get to my new home we, myself and 10 yr old sat for hours without anything. When they finally arrived the bill went up sunstantial that i did not have that money to pay. They then drove off with all our belongings! My son was so upset and worried, as I was! They called with a negotiation of what i only had to pay to bring our belongings and unload. Half of the men were not in a good physical state to be doing this kind of job. One in particular kept tripping and could nit lift heavy up stairs, or anywhere. I had numerous breakages! My 65" tv does not work included! It was a horrendous ordeal and have learnt to go with professionals and who come out see what contents there is. I really hope people read reviews first and be careful who you use for your delicate possessions. These guys do not take this into account! My old neighbour called me said they're dragging your mattress in the wet on your grass. Awful company awful management!

I would like to relate an experience I had with Smart Truck movers. I scheduled an appointment to give me a quote this morning. They did not show up. They simply said that they forgot. They tried to reschedule an appointment for tomorrow. I have to work. I called them and they seemed to not care that they have wasted my time. The man I spoke with said that yes, he forgot, but completely lacked remorse for wasting the time I could have spent looking for another mover. When I said that he was irresponsible for the careless tone he took about missing this appointment, he was more concerned about how I was impolite to him than how he disrespected my time. He simply did not care. I do not recommend this company.

We had a point of contact named Andy. He arranged the date and time and price. Everything went smoothly. The guys doing the work were great and we moved a full van load of mixed items 600 miles with no damages. GREAT.

But I've been chasing, asking for a receipt for over a month. I need this. Yet my calls and emails always go unanswered which is disappointing.

Arrived on time, swift, efficient, hard working. Overall great experience, would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing experience moving our two bedroom flat from London to Vienna with Smartmovers. We initially were worried reading some of the negative reviews but then stuck to our guns and it really paid off.

Andy, who was our point of contact along the way was always available for any questions, quick to respond and helped us to prepare for the move in all the right ways. The two guys that came to load all of our belongings into the truck, drive them to Vienna and then unload them again were incredibly professional and handled each item with amazing care. We brought a large number of fragile items and every single one was intact. In addition, they managed to get items out of windows, etc. in tricky ways, which was beyond what they were expected to do.

I think a lot of people don't get that a move of that size, especially if you choose to move and pack yourself like we did, requires you to put in a bit of effort. You need to carefully pack and prepare the items, stay in good communication with the guys and make sure that you give them a really accurate list of what it is you are actually bringing. Otherwise it's naturally impossible for them to estimate the right size truck, weight, etc., which can easily lead to trouble on the day of the move. Ours couldn't have gone more smoothly — and honestly, we also couldn't have moved in a more affordable way with such stellar service.

Anyways, we had an amazing experience and couldn't recommend these guys more.

Very poor experience, I ended up with these through Anyvan, both companies couldn’t care about you at all. This lot think it is fine to deliver at half past midnight, waking neighbours, dogs, I’m sure they only arrived at this time as they were en route to Holland via Folkestone, and it fitted in with their travel plans. I requested a van with a tail lift to aid transporting a heavy item. No tail lift van arrived, they struggled with my item in the pitch black of night, little care taken. They don’t answer your calls, literally do what suits them. Beware.

We have asked SmartMovers to help us move 3 times, 2 around London and other to Switzerland and I can only say thank you to these guys. The way they work is impressive, took great care of the belongings, super efficient and very nice guys. Kept telling us off for trying to help.
I totally recommend them and I have done so in the past.

This move has been a nightmare. They are unreliable, untrustful, unpolite, and I had my belongings 2 months later. They did a wrong calculation with the volume of the furnitures and they left 2 sofas, 1 big table, 6 chairs, 1 dinning table, and a bike. They asked us for plus £500, after paying £3000. We paid £300, and the £200 remaining after the delivery, 2 weeks later. But 2 weeks later were 2 months later. The furnitures were damaged, the chairs broken, and now they say that I can always call the insurance. Overall, with an unpolite and unrespectful behaviour.

Was a fantastic experience all around. Not the cheapest quote we had, but we were swayed by the fact it was for 2 men so they could load and unload the truck without help from us or my mother on the delivery end.
The Loading was incredibly quick and efficient.
Stairs and the very hot temperatures made it that more harder work, but the two guys took it all in there stride and just carried on.
The delivery was the following day and very quick considering they had to travel from Hungary to Basingstoke UK.
Would not hesitate in recommending Smartmovers to family and friends and will definitely use them again, when relocating within UK in the near future.

These guys were fantastic! Spoke to Vlad and Nick on the phone. Both very agreeable and organised. The two movers, Lorenos and Andreas were charming, extremely hardworking, hardly took a break for food or water, and were always smiling. We were so pleased that the move went smoothly and would highly recommend this company.

We moved from the UK midlands to the Netherlands. The pickup was well organized, the drivers were very well mannered and a small correction to the order was quickly organized since we had more boxes than first expected. Delivery was also very prompt, 2 days after pickup my things were in the Netherlands and the fact that we could drop things off at 2 different close-by destinations was excellent. All in all, a very fast and pleasant experience! less

SmartMovers went above and beyond with our house move, even lifting a large metal piece of our wardrobe that was too long to go up the stairs through an outside window on the second floor of our building!! In the rain, no less! I am very pleased with the work that they did, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely disgusting, rude and horrible.
The biggest fraudulent lot Ive ever known. Paid £1443 for 2 Vans & 2 Drivers to move the contents of a 3 bed house + contents of a Garage from Cornwall to Newcastle. AnyVan told me that they would collect on 10th August and delivery on 11th August due to the distance the drivers can not drive up in one day..Great as I was happy with that. I was also told 'Andy' the driver would contact me 3 days before to confirm everything..well he certainly can't tell the difference in time as he emailed me less than 24hrs before the move to tell me they will be with me between 8-9am 10th August and delivery in Newcastle same day...erm no.
So I replied saying no its meant ro be collect 10th August and delivery on 11th August with 2 vans & 2 drivers. No reply back so rang the number only to get some lithuanian guy on phone dictating to me it that its 1 van not 2, it will be same day delivery not on 11th August and had he known it was an overnight job he wouldnt have took it. Well just shows you how stupid he is, as AnyVan confrmed it was exactly as I said, 2 vans & 2 drivers. Yeh right...what a bloody joke, they were rude, smirked in my face, left half my furniture out on the road, garden whilst it hammered it down so all my stuff got soaking wet. Oh the best bit...half my stuff is still in cornwall in the garage as they couldnt get it on the van but had they sent my 2nd van it wouldve. The whole lot of them are rude. DO NOT EVER USE ANYVAN.COM OR SMARTMOVERS..BIGGEST RIP OFF COMPANIES GOING.
