Horrible experience. contacted the account manager and sales team several times, nobody bothered to reply. not possible to terminate the subscription through the dashboard and even after termination, they keep charging you.
Please stay away.
Lied about getting my personal phone number from a colleague who doesn't exist in our company.
Questioned if they'd got my number from an AI service, and they said no and stated that it was given out.
When stated that they "work with loads of companies like ours" the caller openly admitted they didn't know what we actually did.
The first time Softcat ever called (about 3 years ago) I said I wasn't currently after anything but if anything ever came up I would give them a call. In the mean time, they started ringing me at least twice a week asking me if anything had come up. By week 3 I had given up answering their calls and I vowed to never EVER use Softcat for anything. After 3 years, they are still trying at the same frequency, and just don't seem to be getting the hint. I have blocked their number, but they phone anonymously (I have stopped answering Anonymous calls for this reason), or ring a different department and ask to be put through to me (I've stopped answering transferred calls) - one of their reps even tried to send me a message on Teams (blocked!)!!!
Softcat - if you're reading this I AIN'T INTERESTED! You are driving people away with your aggressive sales tactics. Please stop pestering people.
I make it my number 1 rule to never ever give business to companies who make unsolicited sales calls.
Iâve been bombarded with nonstop emails and calls from Softcat after just one inquiry. It feels like spam rather than genuine outreach. No matter how many times I unsubscribe or ask them to stop, the messages keep coming. Itâs annoying and unprofessional. Definitely leaves a bad impression.
More sales calls despite me asking for our company details to be removed from their records...this time Nathaniel called, asking for "Tom" (we have no Tom in the company) and had difficulty understanding that we still do not want their incessant sales calls
Why oh why do they persist and clearly become agitated when you don't want to snap their hands off with sales
Many years ago now 6 or 7, this company sold us a very expensive ANPR system. We paid for the service and it never worked a single day. They did not refund our money and disappeared other than to have the audacity to occasionally try to sell more services to me.
I was reminded today with yet another attempted sales email, so figure I should maybe warn others.
Avoid this provider.

Le siÚge social de la société est situé à Marlow, au Royaume-Uni, à Solar House, Fieldhouse Lane, Marlow, SL7 1LW. La société ne répond pas au téléphone et a plusieurs mails invalides. Une poursuite judiciaire avec cyber.gouv.fr va être lancée contre eux prochainement.
A tous j attire votre attention c est une societe qui vous demande beaucoup d argent et vous fait croire a des benefices c est faux ne faite pas confiance a cette entreprise ils m ont escroque 20000 euros surtout ne sonner pas d argent meme les banques le disent.fuyez ne repondez pas a leur demande de travaille.Ils ne veulent pas rendre mon argent a cause d une erreur de leur systeme er me demande encore 5000 euros.c est une escroquerie
Their sales practices border on harassment, they have hassled me for months despite showing zero interest in anything they do. They even went as far as contacting my colleagues to spread false information implying I had wanted to work with them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
I have never given them my email or even visited their service, and they are sending me SPAM.
Softcat offer a terrible service. They are not interested in long term relationships and only want the money. This is a company that is untrustworthy.
Following many years with Mimecast, we cancelled the contract in August 23, this week myself and all my staff have received aggressive calls from Kiara at SoftCat (outsourced for Mimecast) threatening further action if we do not provide a PO to pay our outstanding bill. I have since sent a copy of the cancellation email, whilst she has called 6/7 times this week, I received no acknowledgement to my email, Kiara claimed she has been very busy today. Unprofessional and aggressive approach on behalf of Mimecast!
Softcat supplied all our hardware and their service and quality is diabolical. Any cooperate businesses should stay away!!!
We spent thousands with them every month and all orders were wrong, sending products with incorrect power packs, non matching monitors and stands.
Their support service is extremely unhelpful and pretty rude sometimes.
We got a quote from another provider and they were charging us around £500 more on every PC!!!! Complete ripoff and not worth your time.
I have been a long customer of Softcat, recently we purchased 15 Dell laptops total around £15,000. One by one these started to fail, each with the same issue and Dell had to come in and change Hard drive and mother board.
So far 5 have had the same issue so you think its a batch issue of faulty components.
Doing some investigation it appears they are from the same batch with similar Service tags, I spoke to our rep. who toldly ignored it says its Dell issue, Softcat were only the 'middle-man' supplier. I escalated this to the Priority Team leader Natalie Boardman who initally sounded like she would help as she potentially offer 3 years next day cover, realising we would probably not purchase from them again if this was not sorted out decided to withdraw this offer now saying that there is no offer. Basically, like it or lump it.
So I am stuuck with 15 Dell laptop, which are failing one by one with the same issue and niether SoftCat or Dell will except responcibilty.
Disgusting money making server.
