We had South London Lofts in to construct our loft into a liveable bedroom and en-suite, the work was completed on budget and on time. the guys were polite and very hard working, we are absolutely over the moon with the finished result and would fully recomend this company and their workers.

Great to work with from start to finish, completed our project within the agreed time scales (12 Weeks), and really happy with work, especially a large bespoke triangular window on the rear of our L dormer. The guys also did a bit of extra work to get the finish we wanted, like the tiling and built in cupboards which were done to great standard for reasonable prices. many thanks SLL.

Had our loft done recently by SLL. Craig was extremely helpful and patient for several years as we worked through acquiring the loft space and getting relevant consents from freeholders and council.

Minda and his team who were responsible for actually building the project got the job done swiftly and as/when there were problems (inevitable in any project) solved them quickly.

Minda had a good book of contacts to get electrics, carpentry, tiling and decoration done concurrently with the building.

All the individuals (both at SLL and the external parties recommended by Minda) worked extremely hard and efficiently - we lived in the property during the works and everyone was friendly, respectful and made the experience so much easier than it could have been.

Really pleased with our new bedroom and bathroom!!

South London Lofts have not long completed our third loft conversion.
The first in Battersea 2007 came from a recommendation, the second in Clapham 2012 was an easy choice. And on our latest move to Balham we had no hesitation in contacting Craig for a third build.
South London Lofts are competitively priced and deliver the finished product on time and within budget.
What draws us back time and time again is the quality of the build, the highly skilled trades and knowing the finished product will be fantastic.

We signed with SLL in March and have been enjoying our wonderful new floor for 6 weeks now: two new attic dormer bedrooms and a bathroom. We recently undertook a loft conversion on our three-bed semi-detached house in South East London, adding a spacious new bedroom and bathroom. The work included a complete reroof of the house. We have been delighted with the results and were particularly impressed by the speed, efficiency and quality of the work that was carried out. This started from the point we made initial contact with South London Lofts for the initial quote, through to getting the final certificates of completion.

The bulk of the conversion, including the main structural changes and the reroofing, was completed within just three weeks, minimising disruption to our lives. The various teams worked very hard, starting at 8am and often leaving after 6pm. This rapid progress was a testament to the well-coordinated project management. Different teams, from the initial builders to the electricians, plumbers, carpenters and decorators, seamlessly transition in and out, each completing their part of the build with precision and minimal disruption. The level of coordination ensured there were no delays. In fact the build completed faster than we expected, as every stage of the project flowed smoothly into the next.

The added big bedroom is a bright and airy space, and the new bathroom is a fantastic addition, significantly enhancing the functionality of our house. We are incredibly pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism displayed by all involved. Equally important was the fact that the different teams were all very friendly and helpful, accommodating our needs and working around us since both my wife and I mainly work from home, and our kids were travelling backwards and forwards from school throughout the build. The loft conversion has transformed our home, and I'd like to use this opportunity to say a big thank you to the South London Lofts team for all their work - we highly recommend their services for anyone considering a similar project.

Finished on time, good quality to a reasonable price

We were recommended to South London Lofts by friends. We had a good experience - the project happened quickly, broadly in line with budget. Communication could have been better at certain points - our designated project manager was rarely onsite - but the team did a good job and we are so far delighted with the result.

I recently used South London Lofts Ltd for a loft extension, and overall I am pleased with the outcome. The sales process was handled well, with Brian providing a clear vision of the project. They stayed on time and within budget, which is commendable. However, there were a few hiccups; some delays occurred, and the materials used for plumbing in the en-suite were subpar, as identified by my plumber later on. Despite these issues, the structural work has held up well over the years. The project management team was generally responsive, and the end result met my expectations. I suggest paying closer attention to the quality of hidden fittings. Overall, a solid service with room for improvement.

I used SLL team in 2015 for a loft extension after the sales guy was impressive in how it could look. At the time they were a bit cheaper than others so we went with them. They were on time and budget and most of the subcontractors were fine. The problems we experienced started once the large amount was paid ( then the work slows down, but they aren’t the only ones to do that!) issues with the roof leaks which they claim they told me about the issues but there was never anything sent to me ( they said if I didn’t pay final amount I wouldn’t get my warranty) so I reluctantly paid up. The structural side looks ok, we are now 8 years on. But they clearly used cheap plumbing parts for the en-suite as it’s caused issues with shower leaks and a cheap macerator which has leaked below ( not pleasant). So I would say be careful of the fittings they use you can’t see ( my trusted plumber fixing all these issues tells me how cheap and nasty the items used were) .

SLL did a great job with my loft conversion. From the start, Brian the sales manager was very helpful. I was nervous at first as you hear so many bad stories about builders, but they did a great job, they worked so quickly and everyone was polite and friendly. Paul my project manager was very responsive.
There were times when I had to wait for trades people to attend, however it was still completed on time.
I'm very happy with the end result, better than I expected.
There were no unexpected costs, any extras were reasonably priced.

Happy to highly recommend South London Lofts. From start to finish they were professional, hard working and the end product is even better than expected. Dates and time promises were kept to. Unlike other tradesmen I've dealt with they were focussed on getting the job finished to a good standard as quickly as possible. And it never felt rushed or careless. Other builders I've used have been more worried about the school-run traffic and left at 2pm. These guys will work until 7pm or later if they needed to. Any extras that I asked for were clearly and fairly priced when I brought them up and no hidden 'surprise' costs emerged at all. Building regs were quickly acquired after the job was complete. Given how many dodgy tradesmen there are out there these guys are a breath of fresh air. Thank you very much.

The team did our side return kitchen extension. We were really happy and impressed with the level of professionalism and quality of the work. They were willing to accommodate our additional requests (like a temporary kitchen) and the level of communication and interaction throughout was really good. We’ve done a similar project with another builder and compared to that experience, I was impressed by the consistent presence of the team on site. There were very few down-days, indicating a good level of coordination and project management. I would recommend SLL (and hope to work with them again on our loft conversion).
