Very disappointing experience with…
Very disappointing experience with Splend PCO car hire. I went to collect a Hyundai Santa Fe I had booked, but after arriving they said it was not safe to drive due to a warning light and had no proper replacement ready. After wasting my time, they gave me another vehicle instead. While leaving the parking bay, I accidentally scratched the car and was immediately told to pay £1,000 to continue, and they took my deposit and charged over £470 plus £300 deposit. Staff were friendly until payment was made, but my overall experience was very poor. I would advise other drivers to be careful

We’re sorry your experience in October 2025 wasn’t what you expected. The Hyundai Santa Fe you booked had a warning light, which can sometimes appear even after a vehicle has been fully checked. To make sure you still had a vehicle and could continue to work, we provided a temporary Peugeot e-Traveller.
Unfortunately, the vehicle was damaged as you left the site. As a result, we were unable to transfer you back into your original Santa Fe, due to our risk policies. Even though your contract had a six-week minimum term, we obtained approval to have the notice charges removed.
We understand this was frustrating and appreciate your feedback.

Splend a very dangerous bussiness
I trusted splend because is on uber green light hub as well as on the uber app.
They have 2 options hire purchase and rental. The rental is not affordable to me so I chose the merc eqe on hire purchase and put 2k as a deposit, then they said they don't have hire purchase anymore so I didn't to go with the rental and asked my many back. Suddenly someone was on the phone saying is a non refundable policy and kept my 2k.
Since 28 of November that I asked my money back and nothing
I didnt sign anything and and there is no document received saying it.
I was doing thing on uber app trust.......nope

This comment above, was not written by me. I am editing this review several hours after visiting the Splend office in Cricklewood.
I handed my phone to a young man at Splend to onboard me to the Uber platform. I can only assume his name is Nadim.
I was shocked to recieve an email from TrustPilot later in the day to say thank you for the review.
The sheer audacity of Nadim to write a review in my name is shocking. I handed you my phone in trust, for you to onboard me to Uber... not for you to falsify reviews and use my personal data/ email for your benefit. It makes me question what else you have done on my phone.
I will be making a formal complaint.
This is so unprofessional, and a breach in trust. Shocking.
