If I could leave less than 1 star I would, shocking customer service, either no response or the same response which I’m guessing is AI generated, basically stealing peoples hard earned money by not providing goods that’s have ordered or replacing them, so no goods and still have my money, with no resolution. I have checked on social media and it’s repetitive behaviour with 100’s of people facing the same experience, I will definitely boycott sports direct and there appallingly customer service team!

Shopping with Sports Direct is a complete mess. Their stores are chaotic, and the online experience is even worse.

I ordered football boots in size 3.5 and received something entirely different. The box clearly showed size 11K (children’s), with a sticker slapped over it saying 3.5 like no one would notice. This isn’t a minor mistake, it feels deliberately misleading.

Customer service refunded me, but didn’t even want the item back. No real explanation, no accountability, just “keep it.” That doesn’t inspire confidence, it raises more concerns about how often this happens.

I should have paid attention to other reviews before ordering.

Almost a year ago, I purchased a bodywarmer from Sports Direct, but I never received it. The shop is unreliable and refuses to take responsibility, continuously blaming the courier.
After a long and frustrating exchange of emails, they finally agreed to issue a refund. However, to this day, I still haven’t received my money.
I have visited their store in Antwerp dozens of times trying to resolve this. Each time, staff contact their head office in England, and I am repeatedly given promises—but nothing ever happens.
This has been a complete waste of time and a very disappointing customer experience.

What terrible customer service. I was in your store today and went up to the first floor—there were three people at the tills chatting instead of serving customers. Meanwhile, one guy on the shop floor was trying to bring shoes for several customers by himself! Seriously, such a big store and only one person helping customers?

I got my shoes and went downstairs to pay—only one person at the till and a long queue. I asked if the upstairs till was open, and the cashier said yes, so I went back up. The guy upstairs told me it was closed. I went back downstairs and asked a girl with red hair, who was standing by the door looking at her phone instead of paying attention to customers, where the staff were because there was no one around.

She told me they were upstairs. I said that upstairs they told me the tills were closed, so where is the staff? The girl, clearly annoyed that she had to look up from her phone, started arguing with me, insisting that everyone was upstairs.

Seriously?! I’m not surprised that stores are closing and people are choosing to shop online— with this kind of service, I want nothing to do with it. That was my last visit to this store, and I will not recommend it to anyone. Stevenage brand

Je kunt zogezegd retourneren maar je krijgt je geld niet terug alleen een tegoedbon dus hier niets kopen als je niet zeker bent echt een amateur winkel niet zoals grote keten waar je op kunt vertrouwen met retour.

Et le que ce vendeur a trouvé à me dire c est que les boîtes sont là pour faire joli et que ma commande ne sera pas échangé
Je me retrouve donc avec des manettes en edition limitée avec des boîtes qui ont été piétiner.
Je ne recommande pas ce marchant si vous esperz recevoir des produits de qualité

Mi pareja me regalo un chandal, le dijeron que no se devolvía el dinero una vez que ya había pagado.
Me queda pequeño, fui a por una talla más y no tienen.
Ahora que se supone que tengo que hacer?
Gastar el dinero en otra cosa que no me hace falta?

Duurde heel lang voor het product werd opgestuurd, slechte klantenservice

Vaak gekocht, altijd perfect. Toegankelijke website, betrouwbare levertijd (in mijn geval altijd 1-max 2 dagen), goede collectie kleding en accessoires .Voor mij de vaste en enige webshop voor mijn sportkleding. Wil Sportdirect absoluut aanbevelen.

Goeie club. We hadden een voetbal die na een jaar lek was en zowel een nieuwe als een kortingscode gekregen. Netjes en goed afgehandeld.

he leído sobre la calidad, que es mala, las tallas que no son correctas, el código promocional, que no aplica descuento y finalmente el envío Express que nunca llega, y la verdad es que hice el pedido el sábado, me aplicaron el descuento del 10% sobre un precio ya increíble, y ahora mismo, un martes, me lo acaban de entregar, talla perfecta, calidad inmejorable, el precio buenísimo ..en fin, no puedo estar mas contento, gran empresa y tremendo el tiempo de entrega, solo dos días, teniendo en cuenta que en valencia (estoy a 65km de valencia) estamos en alerta roja climática, en fin.. un 10. Además cada día te llegan mensajes indicándote donde esta tu pedido, tanto de sports direct como de DHL, un lujo, recomiendo al 100%

I worked tirelessly to promote their products through the affiliate link they provided. Yet, after nearly six months, they have refused to pay me the commissions they promised. I reached out to their support team multiple times, but never received a single response. This is pure deception. Stay away from this company – they are dishonest and will waste your time and effort!

Ik zal nooit meer iets bestellen bij dit bedrijf.
Na ruim 2 weken krijg ik een bericht dat het transportbedrijf mijn adres niet kan vinden. In plaats van een bericht om het pakketje op te komen halen, meld het transportbedrijf dat ze contact opnemen met Sportdirect, die vervolgens nergens op reageert.

Ik heb zelf ook een bericht gestuurd naar Sportdirect, maar die reageren ook nergens op.

Zending verdwenen, ik kan het nergens ophalen, en een klantenservice die nergens op reageert.

Absolutely appalling experience with Sports Direct – a complete disaster from start to finish! I ordered shoes (Order SDNL50001001096021) on 16 May 2025 for €46.99, unaware that the shipment would come from the UK, as this was conveniently omitted from their website. When I realized I’d face long delivery times and customs fees, I immediately requested to cancel the order. What followed was an infuriating saga of incompetence and empty promises.

I contacted their helpdesk multiple times – 31 May, 2 June, 21 June, 4 July, and 24 July – each time being assured that my case was "escalated" and someone would contact me within 14 days. Spoiler alert: no one ever did. On 19 August 2025, I had another frustrating exchange with a rude consultant who demanded a screenshot of my banking app, which my bank (ING Netherlands) doesn’t allow for security reasons. I sent a payment statement instead, only for the consultant to dismiss it and hang up. I even double-checked with my bank, who confirmed they never blocked any refund – Sports Direct’s claim was simply a lie.

This company’s customer service is an absolute disgrace. They dodge accountability, make false promises, and treat customers with utter disrespect. I’ve been chasing my €46.99 refund for months with no resolution, despite providing all necessary proof. I’ve now escalated this to the European Consumer Centre because enough is enough. Avoid Sports Direct at all costs – they’re untrustworthy and unprofessional. One star is too generous!
