Purchased a protection plan via Square…
Purchased a protection plan via Square Trade with Allstate for warranty coverage for a cell phone. I sent in my phone for a battery replacement. Phone was in working condition prior to sending the phone. Instead of repairing my phone, they recycled it for parts as the repair would be more than the cost of the phone. I was not informed of this decision initially and called to have the phone sent back to me to repair. This was not an option. This is not a repair company but rather a way to continue to sell consumers' devices for parts.

Yes this is true review, I bought the product from Walmart website and bought insurance, they just sending me email not gift card , Already I contacted them 5 times or more they are not helpful, even yesterday the person called me saying same story, and I asked him why this company give too much waste time and give stress, this company workers not doing perfect job , they taken people too much time and questioning, and send emails , same product available on Walmart website not sending, consumer thinking they are sending but not , the replacement of that product they offer totally less price one like a trash one , really bad experience

Buyer be ware
Buyer be ware, they will not replace lost phones. They do not offer used replacements, and there is a high deductible. It’s cheaper to save the mount fee and deductible and just go get the phone repaired or replaced yourself. They can be hard to get ahold of and when you speak to someone they barely understand English. I canceled both plans over the phone and got verbal confirmation both plans were canceled, they proceeded to charge my account for the second phone(hopping you don’t notice). Make sure you verify everything was canceled! If you call them on the date they charge your card it’s too late, you’re already suckered into the monthly fee. I would highly recommend you to look elsewhere.

They don't honor the warranty
I purchased a television for my grandmother and it does not work, they refuse to honor the protection plan. I asked for the agent to provide his information and he refuse. My grandmother has been without a television for a week! I have provided them with the service plan number and TC#.

This protection plan is a waste of money. I paid for coverage expecting support, but when my furniture started peeling and deteriorating, my claim was denied because it still “works.”
This is furniture, not a car or an electronic device. That explanation is completely unacceptable.
The customer service experience was even worse. I spoke with a supervisor named Valentina, who was rude, dismissive, and showed no interest in helping or resolving the issue.
If visible damage and deterioration are not covered, then what exactly is the purpose of this protection plan?
I will be escalating this issue to consumer protection agencies and sharing my experience publicly. Buyers beware.

We bought protection plan for our outdoor furniture set and SquareTrade denied coverage due to the appearance of weather damage...when I explained again that it was OUTDOOR furniture designed to stay OUTDOORS and asked to speak with supervisor they offered just a refund of the protection plan. Maybe I should just get my attorney to look at this

I’ve decided to change my one star review for Allstate to a five star review based on the prompt help and assistance by Talal, Allstate’s Escalation Analyst - Corporate Resolutions Team. I received an email response after the weekend on the first business day. Very professional, customer friendly, and right to the point of the issue at hand. Talal helped me receive my check for an item purchased from eBay with an Allstate warranty 2 year plan. No beating around the bush, straight to the point, with a positive resolution. Thank you for your help and assistance Talal. I hope current and future Allstate employees mirror your professionalism and exemplary customer service and leadership. Wasted claim
I was sent a voucher
digitally and when it was time for me to use it, I couldn't find it because of the over 20,000 emails in my inbox. When I asked if they could resend it, I heard from noone.
Horrid Company
Horrid company to deal with. Paid the monthly insurance on an iPhone for 2.5 years. When we finally needed the coverage, they sent us a refurbished phone with non-Apple parts so the phone didn't work correctly. It completely failed on us about 6 weeks after receiving from Allstate. They told us the "new" phone was only protected for 30 days and told us to pound sand. To make matters a tad worse, we would've received a much better price on a new phone traded in with AT&T on the original phone, but Allstate has that one now! All in all this is the single worst company we've ever encountered. It should be illegal how they conduct business, if you call it that. Highly unethical, and cost us hundreds and hundreds of dollars.

They called and said they'd resolve the issue. I got three calls from an Anna at corporate resolutions. No phone number. I go into an abyss of prompts from an AI phone number. Said they would send an email too. No emails in inbox or junk mail. Another fail by squaretrade/Allstate.

At first, I contacted them by phone, but unfortunately the person who assisted me was not able to solve my problem. Later, I was contacted via email and my experience completely changed. The team reached out with great professionalism, willingness to help, and genuine kindness.
They carefully reviewed my case, stayed in communication, and guided me through the process step by step. In the end, they resolved my problem and approved a replacement for my TV.
I truly appreciate the support and the way they handled everything after the first inconvenience. Thank you for making things right and for the excellent customer service.

Frequent changes to repair appts
We are having difficulty getting out refrigerator repaired. Allstate's partner Goodman Home solutions cancelled our appointment at the last minute, after sending a confirmation of today’s appt. Now we must wait 8 days for another appointment. This is after our earlier appt didn’t occur because the technician didn’t ring the doorbell while my wife and I were both home. Not to mention, the company changes scheduled appts to different hours right before the appt, so we must keep the entire day free when scheduling an appt with them. We opened our repair request 35 days ago.
