We are Teesside and County Durham's biggest distillery and leading artisan drinks company. With a range of gins, vodkas and rums, we are local heroes and champions for our community. We exist to put Teesside on the drinks map and give back in our community that need support. Based out of our distillery off Portrack Lane, behind B&Q, we have a state of the art store, as well as secret Prohibition style Speakeasy Bar where we hold party events as well as the only GIN SCHOOLS in the region. Lovely gin but don’t be sucked in by the subscription clubs!

I signed up for the pouch club which is advertised as a mystery 750ml pouch each month. Last month I received 5 x 100ml pouches instead, a third less gin than is advertised. I complained about this and they didn’t even bother to reply to my email. As a result I contacted them again to cancel the subscription, again no reply to my email. Lo and behold, I’ve just received notification that they have debuted my card for this months subscription fee!

The subscription is nothing short of a con. Sending less product than is advertised and being impossible to cancel!

Excellent company to deal with

I’ve been using steel river for a couple of years to buy my gin and I am a member of their gin club (265 club) always great gin. Sent in time. A very responsive supplier. Some of the best gins I’ve tasted. And always a pleasant surprise when opening the box for the little extras that are enclosed.
