Total scam - the invite to an "intro meeting" is a virus. there is are no junior editor roles. trying to scam young people who are looking for jobs is disgusting. Reported to linked in too so they can stop the false adverts

Please do not get involved with this company as a customer or for a career. They prey on vulnerable graduates with promises of career advancement and marketing roles. In actual fact, they turn overly qualified people into door-to-door salesmen. Additionally, I recommend you go on their website and you’ll see it looks like it was written by someone trying to make a word count in an essay.

Didn’t even apply for any roles. I got an email and it was suspicious cause I don’t remember applying for such company. They have messaged me four times. And I messaged them back asking what this is about since I hadn’t even applied I have been spammed and it is also a scam.

I got mine through a notification on my phone. At first, I had no idea what it was about because I was in the middle of job hunting, emailing job sites, and agencies online and whatnot. Then I received this message. I knew I hadn’t applied under that name, so I decided to check the website, which led me to Trustpilot. And there it was, for 2025! Always trust Trustpilot! ahah.

It seems the same MLM scheme and this company is not registered in UK- most of their stuff is being done in India which is a HuB of Ponzi , Pyramid , MLM & phishing schemes

I would suggest stay away from these - mostly they are targeting students because they know students will not be able to take action against them + Students are easy target as they always keep looking for some source of earnings

I applied for a job for a PA/Assistant and I just received an email from them.

At NO TIME did they state on the advertisement on 'INDEED' that this was them. I assumed that I was applying for an actual job!! Obviously not!
They wanted to 'video chat' immediately or the next day with all the 'Company Directors' by video!!

PATHETIC!!

THIS IS DEFINATELY A 'SCAM'.

The company is like a scam. They approach job seekers with unclear information, tell you to come for an interview, however just play a again unclear webinar to sell you some recorded training.
Don't get scammed

Vague vague vague. Some woman called me and said she's calling from "a company" based in London. Did she forget what her company name is?
They're website is vague. They don't have a team profile, or meet the team, or even a single name on their website. Just vague business word salads and cgi cartoon office workers and the occasional pic of the London sky gardens tourist attraction.

Firstly, don't trust any 'good' reviews on here regarding Steppe2 - they are likely written by Kyle Chow, who is behind the company or at the very least involved in it.

Secondly, I, like many of the commenters on this page, received an email from out of the blue from the company, but I was thanked for applying to their company and offered an interview when I never applied in the first place. I booked an interview with them only to discover a prerecorded webinar that was completely vague and described a glorified pyramid scheme. After trying (and failing to book a second interview) to question them on what the actual roles were (which they failed to do in the webinar), something told me to research the company online and Reddit and Trustpilot exposed it all - that it was a complete scam and they were trying to contractually rope people in with appalling low wages - essentially slavery.

I think it's absolutely disgusting that there's an increase in online job scammers who are targeting job seekers who are desperate for work. There needs to be a way to bring these companies down. It's definitely made me more cautious of job postings and contacts from companies. Always try to research these companies beforehand so you don't waste your time like I did!

AVOID AT ALL COST! This is not a genuine recruiter. This company preys on young adults with a lack of knowledge and experience of the world of work and sells them a dream. Kyle Chow is one of the managers who has also written reviews on this platform so he’s comments are irrelevant.

My younger sibling was fed a bunch of lies, during the recruitment process she was informed that there was a base salary of £400 before commission. On her training day, she was then notified that the full time position she applied was in fact self-employed with no base rate. She was then told that all expenses were her responsibility and that she had the opportunity to earn lots of money tax free. When she challenged them with questions, all her questions were brushed aside as if she was not in the room.

Another manager arrived saying that they earned over 100k a year and they paid zero taxes. This was promoted amongst young adults who were looking for their first employment opportunity and it was used as a fishing tool.

Please be careful and seek advice before engaging with this company. They will be reported to trading standards and HMRC.

Steppe2 approached me back in April towards the very end of the month regarding job roles they had available. I received emails from Sophie stating I would need to “self schedule myself for a meeting” the next day. Of course I did book myself in because I thought this was a great opportunity which I went to the “meeting” only to find out it was a Webinar. This was not communicated in the email that was sent which was confusing but I thought maybe this is there way off getting 10 or 20 candidates in to learn about the company to have online 1 to 1 meetings. Then I was shortlisted for the second stage of the interview again thinking it was 1 to 1 but unfortunately it was not. I myself was in a meeting with the interviewer and another candidate who was shortlisted. Again I didn’t expect this to happen so after I had the meeting I decided to do my research thoroughly.

I was looking at the company website to see the “job roles” they have available but nothing comes up. You have to enter your details to be contacted which I didn’t do because my details are on reed for companies to call or email me. Then i realised the company has only been open for a year+ and then I went to reviews to see if others had experienced the same. Actually they did which I was shocked. I have to the odd one “good review” but everyone else’s are bad which is concerning.

After this research I had written down my question for the interview again myself, 7 other candidates and the interviewer in one meeting. But what he was explaining what would happen so we all had 1 to 1 meetings but everyone would be waiting to be pulled in. I was selected I was great. Then i decided to ask the questions about:

“Are you office based”
“Are you a marketing company”
“Is it salary based”

During the meeting the interviewer was totally disrespectful and very unprofessional. He made comments and questions stating “ I dont know why your so confused” “Didn’t the interviewer during second stages explain this information to you” “Are you not capable of doing the job” and more disgusting comments and questions with a tone. Of course I didn’t allow him to speak to me in such a way which I stated to him “I done my research on the company and the reason why I am asking these questions is because your website and what your telling are two different things and also I have seen reviews which they aren’t very good ones either”

If you actually look at the website it states they are commission based but why am I being told that there are two types of sales salary which the second is not mentioned at all. Obviously it would be 1 that is door to door and 2 salary based which the interviewer confirmed. He also confirmed that when people receive the email about job roles it isn’t them but it is AI.

I am writing this review because I have been approached again by Emily the HR executive which I wrote an email back stating I will decline your offer due to misleading and confusing information. And then I also add the email I wrote to “Sophie” complaining about the rudeness, dismissive and unprofessional behaviour from the interviewer.

Please do not schedule any meetings because the stages are 1 being a Webinar 2 being two candidates with one interviewer and 3 being 8 candidates 1 interviewer but you will have 1 to 1 while the other 7 are waiting to have their turn.

A girl called Tarana knocked my door trying selling EE broadband band and her was being very unprofessional with her male colleague, touch and grabbing on him. You could see how uncomfortable he felt.

I attended what was described as an “interview” for a Trainee Sales role at Steppe2. Instead of a real interview, I was put into a Zoom webinar with no interaction allowed — no mic, no chat, and the speaker didn’t respond to anything live. It felt scripted, possibly even pre-recorded.

There was no real discussion of the job, salary structure, or employment status. Instead, it came across as a sales funnel to lure in large numbers of applicants with vague promises of “career growth,” “big plans,” and lots of money. They try to trap you by showing luxury lifestyles and fake dreams that don’t match reality.

This process felt misleading and wasted my time. I advise others to be very cautious and ask clear questions before getting involved.

what a scam do not give them your time!! all the reviews i have seen are the same experience as me.

Got an email saying I've been shortlisted and would be a good fit for the role but didn't mention what the role was for. No response when I'd asked. They wanted to have a 15 minute preliminary meeting either today or tomorrow, no other options. Seemed sketchy so didn't go through with it.

Read the reviews on here and Glassdoor confirming my suspicions. From my understanding of reading reviews, it's long hours of door-to-door sales and handing out leaflets where you're paid on commission, no base salary. Must register as self-employed so you're underpaid as well. Potential MLM/Pyramid scheme where your role may involve recruiting others into this scam, so be careful!

Didn't even apply to anything in this company and they started spamming me out of the blue. If it really is a good job they wouldn't need to go round trying to get people in. If all the reviews, on Glassdor and here, are saying it's dogey and scammy, it probably is xD. Better go read some reviews and stay away.
