I have had an initial consultation with Sarah Mc Loughlin today. She was prompt with the call and spoke with a friendly and kind deminor.The emails and information form filled out prior to the appointment meant the time could be fully utilised and also helped me consider the questions I wanted answered. She listened’asked all the questions required and gave me concise information which is just what I needed. I had no idea of what I should be doing and what to expect In The timeline of a divorce but she broke information into chunks and helped me understand my next steps. She was able to provide pointers to key things to have in place and provided links to save me scouring the internet for what I needed.

I am using Stowe Family Law to divorce my wife a very upsetting and stressful time. I was immediately made to feel relaxed by the initial conversation with Sarah Townsend. All the way through the process Sarah has guided me filling me with full confidence. Initial consultation
I had my initial consultation with Luanne. She was extremely professional, but with a very friendly manner.
Luanne explained everything in a way I could understand without using legal jargon. She gave me confidence to instruct Stowe family law to be my solicitors for my divorce. I had spoken to another solicitor prior to contacting Stowe & the difference in professionalism was night & day. I felt I could ask Luanne any questions I had & get a very honest answer.
I also liked how I got a rough estimate of the costs. It gives you something to go on, rather than getting part way through & running out of funds to pay.

really helpful and friendly service
I have used this firm to help me with my divorce and also to get a non-molestation order. Both Sarah and Neve have been very helpful and understanding. They have helped me with all the documents which I would have struggled doing on my own.

Unbelievably bad service!
Unbelievably bad service! Do not use this company. They may well have a shiny website and be so called award winning but their customer service and processes are terrible.
They do not conduct their due diligence checks correctly, to ensure there is no conflict of interest. They then bombard you with emails… 9 in the space of an hour. Chase you for payment to be made before you’ve even had time to read their 9 emails.
You then pay £425 for an initial consultation to be made lots of promises by their representative , to be told a week later, after filling in lots more forms and transferring £1450 on account … that the day their report is due to be submitted to you.. they’ve a so called conflict of interest and can’t help you.
Offer to refund you the money on account but not the 1hr consultation which should never have happened if they had done their conflict of interest checks properly! Waste a lot of your time and I fully expect the refund will not be forthcoming! It’ll take days to reach account and lots more emails and back and forth!
These companies are supposed to help you during a difficult period !! Not treat you like this.
Also do not be fouled by their addresses, thinking you are dealing locally. I contacted the so called Stamford address but the Solicator was not from that ‘empty satellite’ office but from Nottingham!! So if you think you are choosing a local firm based on their addresses, be careful.
Go somewhere else!!

After trying to get advice for my son…
After trying to get advice for my son and arranging an appointment for a set day they rang him and asked to speak to me as they had got confused about who needed the advice.. managed to sort that out , I can always accept human error, however the 30 mins free consultation turned out to not be any real consultation but rather him be told that he needed to pay for 3 hours on account at a maximum cost of £450 plus vat per hour! We have both been left frustrated and angry and back to the drawing board looking for another solicitor. Would not recommend at all.

This was my initial face to face…
This was my initial face-to-face meeting at Stowe Family Law - Leicester.
I found the meeting very beneficial in identifying the options and the delivery process required to obtain a fair outcome, to my family situation.
The meeting was managed by the appointed solicitor, Ewan in a caring, understanding constructive way. The costs of any further assistance being fully explained to me. There was no pressure put on me to pay for further advice at any time throughout the meeting. I am pleased the decision to continue is left solely with me.
When the time is right, I feel confident that I can return to this company and progress my situation knowing my interests and the concluding outcome will be managed in their safe hands throughout.
