Very friendly service from all the team during my divorce.
Never done this before so can not compare with past experiences.
The staff were professional and accurate in what they presented during the past year or so.
My only small problem is that I felt the number of emails / letters that were passed could have been reduced by maybe answering some of my questions a little differently. As I said i have no knowledge in this area and generally I was very happy with the service I received.

Clear and concise information & advice, made a challenging situation bearable

Stowe have been professional and supportive throughout. Sarah has always taken the time to explain the process clearly to me and I have always felt that she was there to support me, and my wishes, giving me confidence at a difficult time. In particular Sarah has shone in comparison to the other parties' solicitor who has at times been incompetent and unprofessional, in complete contrast to her own service. Thank you.

Excellent service nothing was a problem or too much to ask. All the advice that was given was given clearly and in a way that was easy to understand.

I would describe the experience as being very good because I have received useful and appropriate advice and help through the appointments and the process.

I've had a really good experience with Stowe, espcially my solicitor Florence. She's helped me with both very difficult childrens proceedings and divorce proceedings. Not only has she been great for legal advice, she took the time to understand me and my wishes. What's more is she went above and beyond for me when it was really needed. Also worth mentioning that as a team, if Florence was ever away I was left with the name and details of a senior member of the team I could contact if I needed - not just that, they knew me and my case, which was very resassuring when things are so stressful. Having dealt with two other firms prevoiusly, this was by far my best experience.

The last few months have been some of the most stressful I can remember, I cannot express my gratitude enough for the hard work, professionalism and the advice & guidance through the whole process that Luanne and the team at Stowe Family Law provided.

Going through a divorce is never a good thing, but having a poor solicitor / a poor law firm acting for you will make things so much worse. Every divorce case is different; as Stowe family Law state on their on hold message - you'll hear that a lot trying to call them to actually talk to your solicitor so make sure you're happy to email constantly and get charged around £35.00 for the pleasure each time. My experience of Stowe Family Law was extremely poor, my solicitor was changed during the process; and to be frank I felt she was more helpful to my ex than myself. Contact was extremely poor, response times were painfully slow as was the overall advice. I became fairly adapt at finding my own information online and felt like I was advising my solicitor rather than the other way around. Be prepared to fill out all the paper work yourself and have to research what all the legal jargon actually means as they won't explain it you. Also make sure you have a calculator to check their maths and calculations for settlement figures they got them wrong several times through the process. One thing this company is good at is sending invoices, you'll enjoy monthly invoices on time, every 28 days. Mine were an average of £1500.00 a month. My total spend with Stowe Family Law was around £34K - why didn't I change firm? I ask myself the same question, fear, concern of having to start over with a new firm, £3-4K initial costs for a new firm to review my case. So I stuck it out with them. Something I sincerely regret. In short, if you fancy spending north of £30K for more or less nothing, this is the firm for you. If you want a decent solicitor I'd recommend the one my ex used - they wiped the floor with Stowe Family Law.

Florence Ashcroft-Lane was wonderful whilst experiencing the stress of court proceedings. She was friendly, professional and provided incredible expertise.

My financial settlement cost me £22000 which was way above what my estimated costs were when I started the case.I ended up losing my case and I am almost £80000 worse off.The firm have done nothing but hound me for their balance ignoring the impact all this has had on myself and my Son.I would never recommend this firm to anyone.My Solicitor was changed during my case and it everything felt very cold and detached.

Excellent advice from Florence at the Nottingham office. Her approach was sensitive during an incredibly difficult time.

I went with Stowe Family Law because of their reviews. Don’t believe any of them because they are the worst. Keep as far away from Florence Ashcroft-Lane in the Nottingham office as you can. They say they build the right team around you, with compassion and care. But Florence was nothing but argumentative, money driven and showed no care towards my case. She would send 3 or 4 emails (charged for each email) for the same thing, juts to make more money. You would hear nothing from them and completely unreachable on the phone. Yet when they want money from you, you instantly get a reply. Clearly myself and Florence didn’t see eye to eye on my case and when I asked to change solicitor they dropped me and took all my money. Is this building the right team for you?
PLEASE DON’T EVER USE THIS FIRM AS THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DROP YOU.

Please ignore their reply, they have made no effort to speak to, actively refusing to answer my calls and when they do they put the phone down. They have failed to return my money and stolen money for work done not on my behalf. They are theirs and you should stay as far away as possible

Luanne was incredibly helpful, thorough and knowledgable. She was always happy to go through as much information as I needed and was supportive throughout my case.

it isn't just the legal advise ( and that is 2nd to none) but its the caring approach and the way they deal with your case in what is clearly a difficult time
