I was very anxious before the meeting and honestly expected to leave feeling even more overwhelmed, but it was the complete opposite. I felt listened to, supported, and reassured. Even when I cried and struggled to explain things, my solicitor, Kate, was incredibly patient and kind. I came away feeling much more secure about my situation and grateful to know I have options moving forward.

I have nothing but high praise for Stowe and their support in my legal issues. Sometimes change of Stowe lead occurred, sometimes unexpected elements came up, often the person against whom I was litigating became disruptive, but Stowe - and in particular the superb Gemma Davison, the main legal on my case - were always steady, patient, clear, supportive and strategic. Definitely would work with them again any time.

Professional, detailed and humane
I was assisted by Sobiah Hussain and Tazaiyan Baig from this office in my matrimonial finances matter. I found them always approachable, professional, and detailed. They were very responsive, and also understanding of the limitations posed by my health condition.
There was always transparency about any fees upfront, and when it became clear a package was no longer appropriate this was openly discussed with me.
I had to change firms because I ended up moving to a totally different part of the country and due to financial constraints ended up becoming a litigant in person eventually. However based on my experience I would recommend Stowe Family Law. They offer an initial discussion so you can always take your questions to that and be clear about what matters to you.

A humane, family-first approach without unnecessary conflict
I instructed Stowe Family Law for my divorce and had an excellent experience from start to finish. My solicitor, Olivia, was outstanding – always prompt, available, and reassuringly clear in her advice. She has a real gift for explaining complex legal points in plain English, while still keeping the proper legal terminology where it matters.
What I really appreciated about Stowe Family Law as a firm is their ethos. They genuinely don’t seem interested in fighting for the sake of it, which sadly feels quite common elsewhere. There was never any sense of dragging things out to generate fees or inflame an already difficult situation. Instead, the focus was consistently on finding a fair and sensible resolution.
Olivia was particularly strong at de-escalating tense or “hairy” moments and helping me weigh up when it was worth standing firm and when it was better to let something go. She always laid out the pros and cons clearly, including likely costs and timeframes, and then left the final decision with me. It felt very much like my interests – and the wider wellbeing of the family and children – came first.
Stowe Family Law absolutely will defend their clients when needed, but not at the cost of unnecessary conflict. Their approach felt balanced, humane, and grounded in reality, which made a hugely stressful period far more manageable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Provided invaluable support and guidance throughout a high conflict divorce process. Responses were timely, and I felt supported and well represented. Unfortunately, I cannot rate 5 stars due to the costs involved. I have found myself not able to afford their ongoing support due to accumulating costs due to the ongoing high conflict nature of my divorce, which has led me to not be able to afford their continued support and representation in court. However, they have provided some ongoing advice and guidance which has been greatly appreciated.

Olivia Dann was extremely helpful and talked me through the whole process. She helped me every step of the way and I would fully recommend their services.
All the staff are friendly and helpful and are happy to explain if you are unsure. They are also mindful of costs and will advise you throughout of their costs so you can better judge the cost implications.
