Sometimes life throws unexpected curveballs at me, and I had the horrible situation of having to navigate the curveball of separation with the need for legal advice and support. I have received an email from Trustpilot demanding I authenticate myself at the request of Stowe. I have been told that if I do not do this my review may be removed. It could potentially endanger me and my children if I give any further information in the public domain which I would expect a family law firm to understand.

Utterly appalling service from a firm that claims to have experts in domestic abuse.
First of all, I was given a date for the meeting that differed from the date agreed. Secondly, the solicitor turned up late.
The solicitor I spoke to was ableist and victim blamed my young child regarding a domestic abuse situation. When I raised a complaint I was treated dismissively and the partner dealing with the complaint did not give me copies of policies I requested sight of prior to my complaint being looked in to. Instead she ignored my reasonable request and went ahead with 'investigating'. The wording in her response was, in my opinion, passive aggressive in parts.
I have had no reply to the email I sent at their request following this.

Very smooth process for client onboarding, very organised and thorough firm. Very impressed with Melanie. Gave really clear advice and covered all of the areas I was concerned about.

Divorce is a very difficult time. Reshma made me feel that she had carefully listened to my situation and together we were able to pick out the relevant issues, discuss them in a professional and caring manner and reach conclusions which were extremely helpful in trying to reach agreement with the other party.

I can see that my experience is at odds with all the other reviews here, but I have had a terrible experience. My solicitor has been very unresponsive and I've needed to chase repeatedly for progress updates. A few months ago I told them that I didn't want them to carry on and I would be changing solicitors. This resulted in an very apologetic phone call, admitting that their workload was too high and they hadn't been prioritising my case. They asked me to reconsider and assured me that they would give me a much better service. The second time I threatened to raise a formal complaint, the solicitor pointed out all the reasons why the delays weren't their fault and accused me of a lack of urgency. Great customer service eh? We are now very close to finishing the job, and today (Tuesday) I've called to chase a response on an email I sent on Friday at 10am. It's now Tuesday evening and I haven't had a response by email or a phone call. This is typical of my experience. I urge you not to use this firm, but I can see that everyone else seems happy.

When there was an urgent mattter and she was not available she brought in a senior colleague to help, which took pressure off and allowed matters to proceed smoothly.
