My solicitor was actually very good and she reviewed some paperwork for me with some minor amendments, then another solicitor, without my knowledge, took a look and removed some vital information from the document, i complained about this and they called to discuss which i was of course charged for.
I had an email asking for £3200, the next day they asked for £3800.
I got fed up and said i would act in person, asked for all my paperwork and an invoice.
I got an invoice which was almost £5000. I paid this but received no paperwork.
They sent the acting in person notice to the other party with private personal information which they should not have shared, they retracted this but didn't tell me and also did not submit a revised copy.
I made a complaint about all of this and got a generic business filled lingo response.
I asked for my paperwork several weeks later and they said i have another invoice to pay, why do i have yet another invoice to pay when i already asked for an invoice and paid it!!
They also instructed a barrister for me and i did not receive an invoice for this.
Absolutely disgusting way to treat a client, i paid 10k for a first hearing and reviewing of a statement, they were not transparent about pricing

Excellent, friendly and knowledgeable team, you feel like they are in your corner.

They are always quick to respond if you have any questions and put things into action quickly and efficiently.

Stowe Family Law have been amazing, too many people to individually mention but Vicki Rawlins was a rock. It may have taken 4 years but with their help and guidance I came away from a very messy divorce with access to my 2 little ladies and a fair financial result. I highly recommend you talk to your (ex)partner before using solicitors during a divorce but if the other person won’t play nicely and you need a solicitor then I highly recommend Stowe Family Law. My ex took things to another level at every opportunity but Vicki and her team remained cool and calm no matter what she throw at us, in the end the Judge dismissed everything that her barrister was saying, all because of Vicki’s excellently written letter.

Going through a Divorce, is not great for either party involved, after reviewing and talking to many solicitors, I chose STOWE Family Law, to represent me, they were very professional and their advice invaluable. I especially would like to thank my personal solicitor Liz Hughes and her team who supported me through the highs and lows of this difficult emotional journey.

Divorce is an emotionally painful process to go through and each case is different. Since Vicki took on my case which had been delayed because of Covid and pensions I finally found someone who was clear on what needed to be done, clear on what it meant to me in non legal terms, empathic and understanding. This process isn’t cheap not all cases are done and dusted in weeks. Mine took nearly 4 years but I’m glad I had Vicki and Stowes representing me. I lost a year through firms not willing to take me through the pension minefield in divorce situations. So I am grateful. I would recommend them to anybody.

The Solicitor that I dealt with seemed very knowledgeable. I chose them as I felt that they dealt with me without prejudice and a warm welcome.
