Sun Hat made the whole business of booking our holiday and stress free. The villa and the facilities were exactly as described and they were lovely.

We will be booking again through sun hat when the September dates are released. Premium service and lovely staff.

We stayed in the Algarve with sun hat. The villa was even better than the pictures and sun hat were always on hand to help

Given the ease of booking Villas by online platforms (VRBO, Airbnb, etc) I don't think I've used a traditional travel agency in years but after an issue with my original booking, and with flights already booked to The Algarve, we stumbled across Sun-hat.
They had a really good range of competitively priced villas to choose from and we secured a lovely property in exactly the area we were looking for...so far so good.
What has been a really pleasant surprise is the level of service post-booking. I have had to ask a lot of (annoying) questions and today 48 hours before flying, had to change my arrival time. Every time I have had immediate responses from them and they have really gone out their way to be helpful. A big mention to Lily-May who has been soooo patient with me and has gone above-and-beyond...she is a credit to the travel industry!
Couple that with an app with all details and vouchers on it, and I may be heading back to travel agents more often!

First time booking a Villa through Sun-hat and it won't be the last. The whole experience was great from the initial booking online to the in country care whilst in Portugal.

We were messaged a couple of days before departure by the local contact Charlie who was available throughout for advice, ideas and guidance. Without us asking, Charlie arranged a late check out on the day of our evening return flight, which was great when holidaying with a toddler.

The Villa was spot on, modern, clean with great self catering facilities as well as air con in all rooms etc.

Can only recommend and give 5 stars.

We have used Sun Hat for many years and are never disappointed, excellent service. The staff are always very helpful and the villas we have stayed in have all been outstanding. We will continue to use them and would thoroughly recommend.

This was our first time using Sun Hat; we are refugees from the appalling Villa Plus. It was lovely to find a Company that took great care of our booking from start to finish. The service in Portugal was also outstanding: We had our fair share of problems in the Villa but all issues were sorted promptly by Sam and her team.

We had a lovely stay in our villa. Clean comfortable and quiet area. The bed was very comfortable and lovely big hot shower! The pool was amazing too. Overall we will book the same place again with sun hat villas but next time hire a car as its long way to get shopping and food. However Ubers are cheap!

Have used Sun Hat a few times. Villas are always fab, well maintained and managed. The staff at Sun Hat keep in contact throughout your stay and any maintenance issues dealt with promptly.

Top Marks to Adam and Team at Sun Hat Villas !

Last year while on our summer holiday my ailing mother in law sadly took a turn for the worse and become critically ill. My wife had to fly home just 3 days into our 14 day holiday. My mother in law sadly passed away 8 days later. It was a very sad time and our summer holiday was ruined through the stress of these events. My wife loved the villa we was staying at but it was the holiday there she never had. We tried by way of making up for last year to book the same villa for this Whitsun, but it was unavailable for the two weeks in question. On hearing this news Adam at Sun Hat rang the owner and explained the situation to them and how much we wanted to go back there. The owner in response released the blocked week and said we can also go there a day early! Adam went the extra mile in customer service. We are very Happy !! We contacted Sun Hat about 2 villas we were looking to stay at this June, in Quinta Do Lago. We had a bad experience with building work last year, so we asked them if there was any building going on near any of these villas - we were told there wasn’t. When we asked for this in writing they suddenly decided they would check, and at Villa Colina Do Mar there was a crane in the garden a few doors down, this was confirmed to us on the 9th February 2024. They told us if they know there is building work they would put it in the description, I have checked today, 11th March 2024 and to this date they have not put in the description for this Villa that they now know there is a new villa being built a few doors down, and people are booking this villa with no warning.

We decided to go with the other villa we had chosen and when we rang up to book that on the 8th February, which is well in to the new season and a price was given, 4 days later they decided to tell us the 2024 prices had just been agreed and charge us an extra £700 for the villa. The 2024 prices had been put out months ago, and of course we decided we no longer wanted to book with them. We have used Sun Hat villas for years, but they have now turned in to a very untrustworthy company.

In response to your reply, if your team in Portugal make regular visits to monitor building work - why did we get told there was no building work. As stated previously, you only told us there was some when we asked for confirmation in writing. Furthermore, your team clearly did not check last years villa either, as we arrived to a partially built villa that had clearly been going on for some time. You were not helpful in the slightest with that situation, your representative was unusually absent, until we posted a review that you were very keen for us to remove.

I would also like to comment on the two villas being a noise buffer, last year the building work was at the other side of a golf course and it was horrendous. Such a short distance will not buffer the noise of Stihl saws and jack hammers. I would also correct you on your comments that work stops on the 1st of July, this is not true because it didn’t stop last year whilst we were there, the management company also told us that they can apply for special licenses to continue. If you have such powers why did you not stop the building work we experienced last year.

Regarding our original quotation, and the sudden increase of £700 when we went to confirm the booking. You stated that on our quotation we were told the rates were based on the previous year, we have checked the quotation and we fail to see this information, however, we do note that we were given a price - and it states that the price had been held for us until Friday, the 9th of February. Only when we contacted you to confirm the booking, did you decide to increase it by £700.

I also have a screenshot of a review that a lady posted last year, just after we posted ours. I took the screenshot because I knew you would come to some agreement as you did with us, to persuade her to remove it. She paid almost £50,000, and there was a big crack in the swimming pool, the filter did not work and she was told to clean it herself every day. She had no hot water in her bedroom, and was told to shower in the other guests rooms downstairs. She sent two formal complaints to you and neither were acknowledged or answered.

I will leave all other future, potential customers to make their own mind up.

First time we used this Company but cannot fault the service.
The villa is in a quiet peaceful location near the beach and was comfortable- although the garden hedges needed some lopping. The pool would be excellent if children stayed as a decent size albeit a bit big really for the plot .We were four adults so the pool area not a real problem. Beds comfortable with decent linen and good towels. Will book again with this Company.

Sun hat villas were very helpful, a rep came to see how we were getting on. The villa itself, Vila Alice in Carviero was in a lovely location, a short walk to the centre. Very spacious and a good size pool. The furniture indoors and outside was a little dated and the decor needed some tlc, but the kitchen and bathrooms were fine. We would return though, we had a great holiday.

Great team at Sun Hat Villas - made the booking process very simple and helped answer any questions we had before arrival, and a rep even came to the property to check everything was okay on our arrival. Thank you!

This is the first time I have used sun hat villa's. The Service we received was 5 star and from start till end . Our villa was amazing and we will definitely be staying there again. I have recommended them to all my friends and family.

We have travelled with Sun Hat for years and this year they excelled themselves. We have a 2 week break staying in 2 villas. It was my wifes 60th birthday and they made a complicated series of surprise guest over the 2 weeks a doddle!!
In short the local rep, Patricia is worth her weight in gold.
I have no hesitation in recommending them and have re-booked for 2024 already
