Taken money off the deposit for âsnapped bandâ
Delivery was fine they delivered in plenty of time. The headsets were ok (not the best quality audio) but the silent disco was good. HoweverâŠI was given a collection slot between 9am-4.15pm to return the equipment (in the email it says to take this window with a pinch of salt as if they knew that they werenât going to collect). I took the day off work and missed an appointment to wait in for the collection and no one turned up. I rang super silent disco to which they said to wait in till 7pm so I did despite waiting in all day, still no one turned up. If you miss a collection they charge you £7 and then charge you £12.50 per day that you canât send it back. When I rang and told them they said they would send me a label this evening and that I would need to take it to the post office. I had to remind them the next day as I still had not received the label. Dropped off the box to the post office the following day then received an email to say that had got the box and were reviewing it. I then got another email to say that the headset was snapped and sent me a photo. They ask when you pack it up to take a video of you packing it all in the box. I sent them the video where you can see the headsets were clearly not broke. Then they accused me of hiding it by clicking it together. I asked for video footage of them unpacking it as they insist you take evidence of you packing it up. They couldnât sent it to me. They ask for proof of you packing it up which is pointless as there is no proof the headset come from my box? Also they donât ask you to film the headsets to check they are not snapped, they just want to know if itâs all in the box. Maybe they got damaged in transit as I had to use post office instead of parcel force? Are they trying to claim money back as they had to pay to return it with post office? Who knows but none of the headsets were broken when I sent them back. Long story short they took the money out of the deposit after going back and forth. Itâs a shame as I wouldâve used them for a wedding party in a couple of months but Iâll go elsewhere.

Thank you for your review. Iâm really sorry to hear you were disappointed with parts of your experience.
On the courier side: Parcelforce provide us with the collection windows, but unfortunately they donât always arrive within the first slot given. Thatâs why we remind customers in several emails before dispatch that you do need to be in all day, and why we also offer a free Post Office drop-off option so youâre not tied to waiting at home. Iâm genuinely sorry that the collection didnât happen as planned and that you missed an appointment because of it. For clarity, there was no £7 failed collection fee in your case, as Parcelforce didnât attempt the collection â those fees are only charged if the courier attends and the customer isnât in.
Regarding the headset: the issue we found was a break inside the headband which only became obvious when the headset was tested here after return. It isnât the sort of damage that would happen in transit, and it wouldnât necessarily show up in a packing video. We do ask for packing videos so we can confirm everything is included and that items appear in good order, but this doesnât always capture hidden damage. We only ever deduct from deposits when weâre confident the equipment hasnât been returned in its original condition, and itâs never a decision we take lightly.
As for audio quality â we chose our headsets for their reliability and performance, and theyâre mentioned positively in many of our reviews. On some occasions sound can be affected by the music source or adaptor being used, which may explain your experience.
Iâm sorry this left you feeling let down, especially as you enjoyed the disco itself. Weâll continue reviewing our returns process and courier arrangements to reduce frustrations like this.

Incredible value and customer service
Incredible value and customer service. Great that the delivery charge is included in the hire price and good communication from the company. All of the equipment arrived clean and in working order, with straightforward instructions. We hired the silent disco, confetti cannons and smoke machine for a garden party and was probably one of the best days of our life after our wedding!

Brilliant company, equipment worked as it should, delivery and collection were seamless. When we did have very minor problems the team were very quick to respond via WhatsApp.
Only slight negative was the delay in getting my deposit back however I cannot rate the company down for it as the experience was overall very very positive. I will definitely book again!

School leavers festâŠ
Although I have no pictures (school event) the 52 children and 10 staff had an amazing time! The first "silent" disco - the term silent wasnt the case and it was amazing to see the kids singing at the top of their lungs. It was easy to set up easy to understand and we loved the fact that we could include all children some of which were sensitive to noise so the volume control meant the world to them.
All the teachers the following day loved it â€ïž and said what a unique fab idea it was. Parents have asked where I hired from as they are looking at events. 21st birthday party
Super Silent Disco made the whole process from placing the order, to delivery, setting up, using the headphones and diso lights, packing up and collection straightforward and helpful. The headphones are good quality and easy to operate. It is also useful that they arrive fully charged a few days before the event. I've already had people who came to the party ask me for a contact link on where to hire the headphones.

We totally understand the frustration when a courier lets things slip â and youâre absolutely right, itâs always good to leave a bit of wiggle room. For peace of mind, we do send all equipment out three days before your event date to allow for any unexpected delays, but sadly we canât always control how reliable the delivery networks are on the day.

I canât recommend this company. We hired a large number of headsets and lighting for my wedding last month.
Before I sent money across, I was assured that PAT certificates were available for the items. The venue was very clear that anything which must be plugged in must have a PAT certificate so this was key for me. I had to chase the team 4 times over a number of weeks to provide PAT certificates whilst juggling 100,000 other things as a busy bride. I finally asked the team not to send the lights if the promised certificates were not available. I was ignored and charged full price. The lights were delivered but unusable. *My MoH opened the box to see what the items were, but unfortunately the venue would not allow the items to be plugged in.
*I see vendorâs comment about processing opened items but Iâm not sure how this explains a good 4-5 missed emails requesting the certificates. The same email address was used to send invoices and delivery updates so clearly operational.
The delivery day for the items was also changed at the last minute by email. Luckily for me my MoH works from home and was able to accommodate the change.
As soon as the money has left your hands I felt the experience changed.
I will say the team were reasonable when it came to some missing headsets. (There is a HUGE fee for missing items). Be advised if you order a large number, happy guests may just accidentally take these away with them.
I really appreciated the reasonable attitude. This was the one area I canât fault them for. However unfortunately would not choose the same company if looking for headsets again.

Youâre absolutely right to expect clear communication, especially around something as important as PAT certification. We acknowledge that, in your case, there were several emails chasing this that didnât receive a timely response â and for that, we sincerely apologise. Thatâs not the standard of service we aim to provide, and itâs something weâve taken steps to improve. PAT certificates are now automatically included in our dispatch and pre-dispatch emails to avoid this kind of issue happening again.
We completely understand your disappointment about the lights. As mentioned, when the tamper seals were broken, we had to treat the items as opened and therefore used â even if they werenât plugged in â but we do hear your concerns and appreciate that the lack of paperwork contributed to the problem in the first place.
Weâre grateful you acknowledged our fair handling of the missing headsets and the fact that the rest of the order went smoothly. Itâs a shame we werenât able to meet your expectations overall, but your feedback has helped us improve â and we thank you for that.
