The items I purchased said good condition but when I received the items most of them looked like rag. Very worn out, piling, stains and etc. Should not sell garbage to customers. What is the point trying to save the planet when thredup is accumulating more garbage in my house. Very unprofessional, not trust worthy and worst shopping experience.

The issues I will address here are regarding items from more than one order. I am finding there to be issues with most every order anymore. Items are, all too often, misrepresented on the description of the item. An item I am returning from this order was identifed as being a (man's) size extra-large. The label is clearly marked as a size 50-52! Jeans ordered before this last order came with grease marks on them. My husband liked them so I worked my magical laundry skills to remove the grease. Slippers purchased were coming apart on the bottom, something not able to be seen in the on-line photo. The sole quickly separated from the slipper itself after wearing them three times. I am presently undecided about shopping with Swap again. They do have some wonderful items to purchase. I have been very pleased with many of items, most actually, but those bad ones surely have discouraged me.

I needed to return items but the cost of shipping made it a waste of time.

I made my first purchase with Swap on Jan 6th 2023 and ordered 10 shirts, and the prices were incredible! On Jan 24th that my order would be shipping and that 3 of the shirts I purchased were no longer available and I would be refunded asap. That was a bummer, not only was my order taking forever to get to me but 3 items I thought were mine, were not. So that made me question their inventory system. My refund posted to my account about 2 days later, which I found to be extremely quick. My order FINALLY arrived Jan 29th and that's where things took a turn for the worst!
Upon open the polymailer bag, each shirt was packaged in individual clear bags with their identification labeled on them. The shirts were NOT folded and were NOT packaged nicely or neatly, yet just bunched up in a kind of ball and shoved in. Some of the bags were obviously way too small for the shirt inside.
One of the shirts was completely garbage! The entire front of the shirt was stained and I mean MAJOR stains, all over! The description had it listed as "good condition" which by Swap's definition has no stains or defects. Quality control definitely FAILED here. Another shirt was listed as "Like New" and had black stains on it, which could have been gone unnoticed because the shirt is a dark purple color. And the last shirt, which was a light pink cardigan, was listed as "Like New" and had pilling, pulls and had some type of blue discoloration on the sleeve.
I started a return, which would have been nice and beneficial if I could have attached photos along with a description but there's no way to do so. I got the return authorization and in the email it says to pack in a box or padded envelope for return, which I'm not going to lie, really ticked me off considering the way I received it! No way in hell am I returning it to you BETTER than the way you sent it to me! Especially after everything I have dealt with, with this purchase! So I packed it the same packaging and shipping bag it came in!
So out of 10 shirts I purchased, I have 4 of them. So to say the least, I am disappointed and learned my lesson! I will stick to ThredUp, the one I always use!!!

One of the good things from swap is that if you didn't like the clothes, you could return these for free.
As you know a picture is not the same but now the return has a fee and this make me more likely not to be sure about certain purchases.
I received a shirt that stated it was new, it was all wrinkle and smelled like cigar, try to return it but needed to pay so basically there was no advantage of havind bought this from here.

Twice recently, I placed orders and my money was refunded. No merchandise to ship. Not sure why you put up merchandise that is not there. I have been very disappointed!
That was not my experience other times I have made purchases. Don't think I will bother with this site!

I bought two slacks, same type; both were listed in good condition. However, one was in warn condition (fair). The was a warn spot that requires a patch and the cusp of the hem was somewhat shredded.

I don't consider it a bad purchase, but there should be conformity in labeling the quality of the items. There should be some kind of Quality Control to insure accurate descriptions of the condition of the clothes.

They take forever to ship, forever to return email inquiries about your order and I've been sent the complete wrong items. Purchasing Christmas gifts before Thanksgiving, you'd think would be plenty of time. Not only do they take the money for items that are apparently sold out, they wait until midway into December to even tell you that they're now refunding your money for the things they no longer have. Probably shouldn't take my money and hold it all that time letting me think you've fulfilled that order. So this left me scrambling last minute to replace those gifts. THEN the remainder of my order finally arrives and I get incorrect items. After numerous emails, I finally get a response that if I'm not happy with my items I can return them. What?! Not happy? Ummm, try didn't even get what I ordered. The worst one was that I got a plus sized ladies short sleeve blazer, instead of a men's sweater. I have no use for that. You'd think whatever.. just return it. Ok, I settle on that as my only option at this point, although frustrated at the inconvenience.. only to find out they are charging ME to ship the junk back! $11 I have to pay to return something they mistakenly sent me? Nah. I'll just keep the junk and take the loss, but I won't be shopping swap again. I have them chances after a bad experience with shipping times and communication, last year. I'm done now. Buyer beware. And they'll take forever to reply, so you may not even hit the return window.

Everything I purchased was exactly as I had hoped. Great items (specifically ties and dress shirt) that looked brand new but at a fraction of the price. I continually shop Swap.com because I've found so many great deals on designer clothes and items that I can't locate anywhere else. Highly recommend shopping here first before going to the stores or even online (like Amazon).

My order arrived quickly and in great condition.

I did not receive all the items that I ordered so I am not happy with my recent experience and no one has responded to my problem

Good and varied selection of clothing at bargain prices, however, the shipping charges are very high in comparison with other online thrift stores.

I got items that I didn't order and didn't get items I did order. I email swap and still haven't a response back from them. I understand ticket volumes are high but it's been a few weeks and still no email back.

I want to start out by saying I Love Swap! The reason for my low stars is because this order had a dress that had been altered. Sides taken in and hem cut off and home stitched. They don’t usually send altered clothes. The rest of my order was great! Thank you!

This site is dishonest. After you order, they pluck out all the best items and say they don't have them, then send you the rest. You end up paying their expensive shipping cost just to get one or two items that were not the main reason you even placed the order in the first place.

Love the $$ and quality! Great place to shop for kids and adults!

All items from the last two orders I made were cancelled. Plus, no notice of the cancellation was sent. Disappointing to spend timing shopping only to have nothing at all sent. Inventory system needs to be improved, as does communication.
