I have a 40 year old door and looking for replacement parts. Vinny has taken the time to research if the parts can be replaced through his network, offering to travel from Naas to Dun Laoghaire to even look at it. We've had numerous conversations over the phone as to how we find parts or a solution seeing it is so dated. Honestly its been quite a number of years since I've experienced this level of customer service. I never write reviews but felt compelled to after Vinny showed such genuine interest to help.

Dealt with Vincent back in July 2024. He was on time, and ready with parts to fix a 10 year old garage door that was attached to a rotten frame.

Bigger job than expected in the pics sent before hand. But, he really worked hard to find a way to safe the door. I could see other suppliers push fro replacement in this situation.

I was happy with the rate charged, and the door has been great since. I would happily recommend Vincent on. Thanks

I called Tara Garage Doors out for a service call to look at a pair of timber garage doors that wouldn't lock properly.
The guys arrived at 9am sharp the next morning and carried out a detailed review of the door locking mechanism and the fitting of the door. They were very professional and were focused on the job in hand throughout.
They determined what the problem was, and managed to fully fix it during the visit leaving me with a properly operating garage door for the first time in 4 years...
Best of all, their rate was very reasonable. In summary, I'd have absolutely no difficulty recommending them to someone else..

Absolutely shocking service from Kevin from the moment we engaged him to provide our garage door. We renovated our whole house and converted the garage into a type of mudroom for the dogs. He called to the house three separate times to take measurements and discuss what we wanted. On the first occasion he wouldn't even talk to our builder, even though the builder was in charge of the build and structure, so could answer any questions about finish etc. We requested a fully insulated secure door, ordering extra locks etc. After 5 months of delays, poor to no communication including ghost emails, our door was thrown up and we were then informed about the suppliers"boo-boo" and the extra locks we requested didn't arrive. We were offered money off, but this wasn't the point, someone who cared about the end finish would have ensured that the extra locks had been sent or could provide them on the day from one of the other suppliers within Ireland - this wasn't even offered. In addition when I raised the issue of the door being half a centimeter too short and having gaps at the top, he pointed the finger at the builder and said he didn't know what way the build was to be finished?!! BULL. His answer was then after condescendingly using air quotes about the fact that it was a "garage door" was, "well I'll just take it out". We got married last week and had to cancel the photographer coming to the house to take photos due to the delays. So now we are left to find another solution after what can only be described as a shambolic and distressing interaction with Tara Garage Doors. I would not recommend for the service alone - the Hormann products are available through many other providers.
