We are very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your fabric and we have received a 1 star review.
I can see that you contacted our customer service team regarding this on 23rd November and they advised you that we would be happy to offer an exchange of fabric for you.
We see that you did not order a sample prior to ordering your fabric and do strongly advise that a sample is ordered as images on a back lit computer device can look so different to an actual printed fabric and this is the best way to get a true representation of the colour, texture and weight of a fabric.
We do hope that we are able to exchange the fabric to something else for you.

Disappointing lack of flexibility In postal charges. Huge disparity across different parts of the UK
Love your fabrics but I have to have them sent to friends to post on which isn’t very fair. This is because you haven’t bothered to sort out a better delivery method. Charging me £30 postage for a UK address is outrageous. The post office has uniform charges for the whole uk!
Thank you for your detailed, thoughtful reply. However, I have to say other company's seem to manage this. I have fabric in various sizes delivered to me most days of the week. The fabric I bought from you and had sent to a friend in Cumbria is being sent here for £7 by Evri.

We are sorry to hear of your disappointment with our delivery service and for us to have received a 2 star review from you.
Unfortunately the Post Office will not take our larger parcels and we have to book them with a courier. The courier that we use for our general parcels class the islands of the Outer Hebrides as an out of area and charge us a very large surcharge. In these cases we book any parcels to these areas separately and try to find the cheapest and most efficient courier that we can. If we find that we can book a parcel with a courier at a cheaper rate we will do this and refund back the difference to our customer as you can see on a previous trustpilot review.
Our parcels can vary so greatly from an envelope with samples that can be easily sent with Royal Mail to huge rolls of 30 plus metres of fabric which the normal Royal Mail service will just not take from us.
Please feel free to contact us for any future orders and we can happily provide a postal quote based on the weight and size of the parcel that we are sending.

Great selection of re-upholstery supplies. I ordered the flame retardant wool upholstery felt to recover a mid-century modern chair. I have ordered this fabric before. It is a lovely thick product to use under your chosen fabric. The fabric arrived quickly and was well packaged

Product arrived promptly, I’d used fabric genie. One of the samples was very different colours to what it looked like on screen which shows the importance of ordering the sample.

Disappointing
Maybe it’s an age thing but I found the website difficult and there was no one to speak to to check I had got it right. The curtains arrived a week before the blind, the box was damaged and the delivery driver just left it on the doorstep, never even rang the doorbell. The Roman blind box was undamaged but again the driver just left it. The curtains are fine but the Roman blind is too big, I measured as per the instructions but the blind was exactly the same dimension as the recess which gave no room for the fact the recess is not 100% square. An expensive waste of money, I tried to ring them for help but they never called me back. Fabric is nice but very disappointing experience, will not be using again.

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the Roman Blind you received and the service that you felt you received from us.
The curtain workroom will dispatch curtains and roman blinds separately if they are ready so that you can get started with the hanging or fitting. We apologies on behalf of the courier company if these were just left on your doorstep, this should not happen as we request a signed for service so nothing should be left without a signature, we will take this up with them.
Our customer service team are always available to offer any help and advice on ordering a made to measure product via telephone, email and our live chat facility. I can see that you had a live chat conversation with the customer service team who confirmed the measurement on your order with us.
We do state on our measuring instructions for a Roman Blind to measure the width of the recess in three places; top, middle and bottom and take the narrowest width and deduct 5 - 10mm as the measurement, this is to allow for clearance as no window is 100% square. I attach this link https://www.the-millshop-online.co.uk/pages/how-to-measure-calculate We do also place these measuring instructions in the sample wallet that you would have received your samples in.
We are sorry that you feel disappointed with the Roman Blind and the service you received.
