Our children (and parents/carers!) had the most fantastic experience this past Tuesday. We attended Danceworks for a musical theatre masterclass before heading to watch Wicked at Apollo Victoria Theatre.

The whole booking process was very smooth and Adam was very communicative and understanding of any requests that were given to him - very professional indeed.

The workshop with Tanya at Danceworks was brilliant. Tanya was incredibly experienced and built good relationships with our children. They all thoroughly enjoyed themselves and from conversations they loved what was offered and wanted to do it all over again. The structure of the workshop was excellent and was well suited to the age range of our pupils (6-16). Tanya was friendly, approachable and knowledgeable in her craft. The only concern I had was that Danceworks thought the workshop was 2-4pm when it was booked from 2:30-4:30pm; Tanya had the correct timings yet the studio did not. This worried me at first however it did not impact on what was offered and we still got the same amount of time.

The production was sensational and was loved by all. The seats were ideal - incredible value for money. The staff at Apollo Victoria Theatre were beyond helpful and it was clear there was excellent communication between the theatre and Theatre Workout.

We originally were going to organise transport with Theatre Workout however this did not happen due to the coach we needed being booked (we were not quick enough to book it so is no fault of Theatre Workout). We are glad we didn't though as we found a coach company that did the same return trip for over £400 cheaper; it might be worth looking at alternative companies as this is quite a significant difference.

Overall, we were exceptionally pleased with the trip and we will absolutely be booking with Theatre Workout again. Thank you Adam!

Amazing workshops for EFL students, tailored to each group's needs. Definitely help students develop confidence, I would recommend for non-drama students too!

We had an excellent workshop with Josephine on Bringing Literature to Life - Page to Stage. It was engaging and entertaining and all the participants from my group, students and adults, had a great time. The warm up exercises were fun and the whole workshop was creative and energised. Thank you!

Having worked with Adam for many years now, we never have any logistical issues with arranging our theatre trips and two show day. The coach and trip was amazing, and our driver was so professional. The two shows were excellent and our students had a wonderful day at the theatre.

Theatre Workout have been amazing from start to finish. Puting together a package that suited us well (they ran a Shakespeare workshop for us) and executing a fantastic and inciteful experience for all our students. The practitioner, Eleanor, was wonderful and kept the children engaged throughout! We'll defintley be using them again!

Adam was so brilliant from start to finish. His communications were precise, but gave us all the information required. They worked tirelessly to ensure we had the best access arrangements for all our students, to ensure that we could take all our SEND students on our trip. Would recommend them completely!

Theatre Workout were BRILLIANT!
We absolutely loved having Amy in our school. She led a wonderful workshop that engaged and thrilled our Year 4 children.

We have used the company before and communication with them is easy and always gets a response. We had 45 students so had to have 2 separate workshops - it is a shame that they had different experiences as we had given quite clear outlines of what we wanted from the workshop. The facilitators were both lovely, friendly but the workshop at Neal's Yard needed to be more focused on requirements given. The scripts used with the group could not be used for their Yr 11 piece, although the group at Arts Theatre had followed brief more closely. Saying that - the workshop at Neal's yard did help the students explore text and hopefully they will be able to transfer the approach.

Hi, I have read your response and actually it is a bit patronising. I am a really experience Drama teacher - of course each facilitator would do slightly different things but I had specifically asked for scripts that the Yr 11 were unlikely to have come across that could be used for their scripted performance exam. One facilitator provided such scripts - and the other used extracts that were not from fully produced plays and were just ways of looking at language/meaning. In fact they were the same script extracts that a previous facilitator had used on one of our workshops with you.

She engaged with the students and worked on a range of activities from warm ups to physical movement and scene performance!

We really had a good experience booking through theatre Workout for a school group from Copenhagen. I can only recommend them for others and I will definitely use them again in the future.

Eddie took 20 Yr 10 and 11 students through an awesome couple of hours on devising for physical theatre.
He began with ensemble, focus and connection skills mixing up the groups and challenging us to create dynamic, unique work/s. His humour, energy, patience and encouragement were constant and real. We had an amazing two hours, grew together as a group and created compelling short pieces of physical theatre.
Eddie was always explaining WHAT we were doing, WHY and introduced the originators of the skills he taught us for example; Theatre de Complicite and Frantic Assembly. His passion and background in inclusive theatre practice made this experience memorable for us all.
I thoroughly recommend Theatre Workout company - ask for Eddie!

Merissa gave a fabulous workshop to our students. She was friendly, personable and kind. The students really gelled together under her direction and created a great positive bond under her leadership.

Theatre workout party are reliable trustworthy and great to work with. What I really appreciate is their recommendations on hostels/shows/tours etc and willingness to say when they know better than what you have asked for. The workshops and practitioner’s were wonderful and all our 28 students had a fantastic experience. Thank you

Adam has helped our company book a variety of workshops for groups that travel to London on tour from Australia.
He is efficient with the booking process and we have had great feedback from the groups. One group had a clown workshop and were raving about it afterwards.

The Canadian lady of the workshop was absolutely awful with my group of girls scouts.

She called out a girl saying that she wasn’t putting enough effort and then she decided to tell her that if she does not put effort in life there’s not much she is going to get. She also kept repeating that they were lazy.

She made many different mistakes about Shakespeare and history (e. g. She said that Shakespeare wrote in the Middle Age when it was already considered Renaissance during Elizabeth).

I am super disappointed!

Theatre workout are a great company to work with for our school group bookings. Reliable, flexible and understand what our school groups need. I have had a restaurant close down suddenly 2 days before our group was supposed to dine there - an alternative was found very quickly, over a weekend. This is superb service.

The students loved their workshop. The experts adapted really well to a bigger group and the students were raving about their experience when they left.
