Really friendly gym. Been going for a couple of years but recently signed up to do strength training sessions with Emma, and it’s been a fantastic experience. It’s been great to see progress, and the advice given has been really helpful.

There just isn’t enough equipment to cope with peak times. Having 103 people in the gym and one leg extension machine is poor.
I am going to have to go elsewhere after being here since it opened :( I spend half my work out waiting to get on things and feeling stressed.
The staff are lovely and proactive, but are up against it with equipment vs numbers and January joiners.

Hinckley gym, over a year ago this was an impressively clean gym, immaculate even. Not so much lately, dust bunnies on the floor, gunky showers. Changing rooms often messy (largely the fault of immature members sadly).
Today though arrived just before 9pm, there was vomit all over the floor in the mens changing room, reported this through the app, an hour later it was still there. Called the number on the wall and spoke to someone, left at 10.48 and it was still there.
This would’ve been walked all through the premises in this time, everyone putting their drink bottles on the floor, then on the fountain, touching the bottles then equipment. Hope for your sake this isn’t winter vomiting bug because leaving it that long you’ll be liable should there be an outbreak associated with this.
I’ll be letting environmental health know.
Not your fault it happened, but never should be left as long as that. Poor show

Really friendly gym, staff are really welcoming. Been going for over a year now and made good friends :)

This is a great gym. The staff especially Jack & Jake are friendly helpful and hard working. They muck in with the cleaning as well as taking classes and helping anyone who needs it. It can get busy and yes I do agree that some people sit on the machines unnecessarily instead of getting on with their work outs but that is not the staffs fault. I say well done Jack on keeping a lovely clean friendly environment. It is value for money too.

My experience is great, I'm still going regularly. The gym is clean and the staff are friendly.

Good gym to work on yourself and easy access to everything you need to better yourself.

I was happy with this gym until I spoke with staff there to ask why my pin had been blocked. I was completely unaware that my pin had been used by someone else, and I had previously had a conversation with staff to make them aware of this. I was told my pin would be unblocked, only to later on that day receive an email to say my membership had been cancelled. I will be raising this with management because it is completely un called for, when I had spoken to a staff member. I understand there are rules, but I spoke to staff to explain I had not given out my pin, and I thought they understood and led me to believe my pin would be reinstated. Really unprofessional and im angry to say the least.

Hinckley Gym Group has been open for nearly 2 years & I must say that it is kept clean & tidy as the day it opened.
This must be down to Jack the GM, it shows his passion & pride in his work. He is very welcoming, encouraging, & gives you motivation.
It's nice to see him on the gym floor, taking classes & even cleaning. He certainly sets high standards.
I enjoy his classes, he makes them challenging but makes it fun& motivates you as hes always explaining the exercise , with a good banter.
Well done Jack, you make it a pleasure to use your gym. Thank you.

not open at all boxing day. open the 27th 8am til modday.. lets see the fun to be had in there today eh! .. 2 many people cram un here, way too many vain people taking 3 times the length of time on each machine posting selfies.
should be a rule on selfies coz i for one dont wanna be in the background of 3 tik tok videos
im rejoining a local, better gym after the new year and the offers are all on
list of faults -
the vanity is unreal - phones galore !
the shower 'room' - wow!!
noone moves off machines. sit there on phones or taking MORE pics of themselves
staff are like 12, only interested in helping their friends or the 'fit lycra girls'
open 24 hours my ar*e!

Highly recommend Matt Palk. Knows his stuff and is really friendly and helpful. Seems like a good close knit team. Would recommend

This gym looked very good on first apperances, there is plenty of equipment, good space, kept at a decent temperture, however it is highly oversubscribed in my opinion.
There never seems to be a reasonable time where there is less than 25 people in the gym at one time, it is common to see 40+ there according to the app. You can never get on the equipment you want and it becomes frustrating. Pair that will people just sitting on their phones and the problem is worse.

This gym needs to cap the number of members it allows at any one time.

The place is very clean with a good range of machines, free weights are a bit light.
But the thing that’s most annoying is everyone has their phones out either texting between sets (taking longer if you’re waiting ) or making videos.I value my privacy and don’t want to appear on someone’s else’s story. just do your workout.

poor air circulation / tiny as can be changing area

switched gyms as mine opens later in the morning now and i need a 6am workout weekdays.

great gym, like the atmosphere here even with my earphones on and in my own little world its nice !
great car park. easy access whenever i feel like going ( no making sure gym is open ! )

FAULTS - air con needs to be on constantly tho..
ITS SO HOT in there, u can smell people and theres literally no air when on the treadmill for two days in a row so i ask what the hells going on!
The air con is on at 20 where the weights are ( not my area )
and NOT ON AT ALL where cardio is.
it feels horrible in there.

also Jack is the member of staff today who was really rude, sniggered and stated well noone else has complained luv, its a glass building u know !
you are a gym that people pay good money to come too it should be well ventilated
Please sort air con, 49 sweaty bodies and not one of the 2 air con units near cardio is even on ! you are a new gym it should be lovely and comfortable in there not muggy and smelly

The best gym I’ve ever been, the guys here are so helpful. I’m recommending Matt Palk as a person trainer, he knows what he is doing.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, especially Jake who is always happy to help explain any machinery and is a very friendly face in the gym, plenty of equipment to choose from and even at busy times you can get a good workout in! And 24/7 which is a massive bonus.
Overall one of the best gyms in Hinckley!
