Really enjoy doing PT Josh’s classes! Favourite part about coming to the gym :)

Really well equipped gym with plenty of space, lots of free weights and good quality equipment. Everything you need to train properly.
Great atmosphere, great people and very knowledgeable, professional trainers who really know what they are doing. Open 24 hours. A really solid place to train. Highly recommended.

Been to a few gyms but this easily the best about. Everything you need, staff and fellow members are all friendly. Great gym!

Had a 1 hour Personal training session with a Trainer called Dan. Dan has amazing knowledge, learnt a lot in just one hour!! Dan is very personable & approachable. COMES HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I complained about banana skins in the car park, next to the disabled parking space for weeks. Every time I attended, over 6 weeks, there was banana skins with varying levels of decay, on the disabled parking bay. I have photos as proof. I brought it to the attention of the manager twice. NOTHING was done. The banana skins remained on the disabled space. When I attempted to find out the details of the Regional Manager, I was then abused and insulted a staff member. She got angry with me and blamed me for her anger. She then proceeded to repeatedly insult me siting that I ‘did not say good morning’. To try and calm her down, despite the fact that I had greeted her with ‘hi’, I said ‘good morning xxxx’ and repeated my request for the Area Managers name. This did not appease her, she continued and increased her abusive insults.
I then complained, in writing. Instead of receiving support from the Regional Manager, I have been threatened and as good as blamed for the incident.
The Gym group state, that they offer ‘Affordable, high-spec, nationwide gyms, that make absolutely everybody feel welcome.’ This is NOT TRUE. I have been treated disgracefully, with no real acknowledgement of my treatment.
I am still in shock as all of this has come about because the staff at Thanet left BANANA SKINS on the DISABLED PARKING BAY, for 6 weeks. It is not my job to get them to do their job but the devastation that banana skins can cause is obvious, especially to a disabled person.
I would like the CEO, Will Orr, to contact me to resolve this and assure me that he can keep me safe from this type of attack.

I was in Ramsgate visiting family and wanted a day pass. I went on line and tried to pay using a debit card. 3 times I had a message saying payment unsuccessful. So I paid via PayPal with no problem. On checking my bank statement a few days later I found they had taken the 3 payments from my bank even though 3 times I had a message in red saying unsuccessful payment. I've contacted the gym group via complaints and directly via my Paypal Invoice receipt. No one has got back to me.
Do not get a day pass using a debit card directly as there is a fault. And like all large companies in the UK they seem to have no interest in sorting out problems when they arise. Or even bothering to get back to you in this case.

Thanet - good range of equipment but shows signs of needing maintenance and cleaning. Many weights in machines are rusty. Adductor machine not correctly maintained so out of alignment. Good gym but please inspect and maintain equipment. Also wonder why you don’t respond fully here, you divert to a non-public email address. Came here from Pure Gym and wondering if that was a good choice.

Totally meaningless automated response received which did not address the actual issue.

Call out for Matt Finch the manager of Thanet Gym he keeps the gym imaculate and gives great guidance if your not quite right in your training.
All the staff are friendly and there is a great atmosphere with all the members, don't hestiate to join you won't be dissapointed.

I’ve been working with VANESSA DUARTE at the Gym in Westwood Cross Thanet. She gets my vote because she’s not just enthusiastic, she’s 100% up on what she teaches. There’s nothing she asks you to do that she can’t do herself and that means she’s sympathetic to your limits and your needs. I recommend her as your Personal Trainer!

The gym good work outs staff are amazing ,showers are clean always classes are free and help you to lose weight ,always some one around to help you .I think it's the best gym in thanet keep up with the good work guys

Equipment is always in good condition, staff are responsive when there is damage to equipment. They are very informative and will support you using new equipment. Classes with Dan classes are amazing, always keeps us on our toes.

Great gym, amazing staff and great equipment. Never felt so welcome in the gym and staff visible at all times making sure everything is clean. Classes readily available and the PT’s go above and beyond. Slightly addicted to attending 😁

Fantastic response to covid-19. I feel in a safe, cared for environment and reassured that cleaning is a big priority.

Not sticking to their own guidelines on COVID with people spotting each other in groups and not keeping 1m apart. I got a behavioural warning via email for not putting equipment back yet if they checked CCTV they could see I was putting equipment away from when I entered to when I left. When I tried to call to discuss, no phone number to talk to them about this outside of head office but they can phone us if they want to talk to us? Also, no rope attachments either and.various equipment out of order. Worst gym experience I've ever had in my 12+ years of using gyms

I love the gym, it’s given me a new lease of life. Decent size though can get very busy at times. Plenty of variety. Sadly I don’t see the gym rule to bring a towel enforced and see many people without one, virus aside that’s pretty gross! Also one sanitizer bottle and cloth is no where near enough, need to put more out
