It took about 1 month for my pen to be shipped and the reason I bought it from The Pen Company in the first place was because it was a bit cheaper than other stores. However, when the pen was finally shipped it got stuck in customs for payment of VAT and shipping charges which added 20% to my total cost = same or more expensive than local alternatives which would have been a quicker purchase.

I have placed the same order twice. Both times I received an email saying "Thank you for placing your order with The Pen Company. Payment has been authorised by your bank, you will be contacted again in the near future when your order is ready to dispatch. No money will be taken from your account until your order is dispatched.
If you have any questions regarding this order, please contact us quoting the order number above." I have never received any conformation in either cases. Last order was placed on 23rd February, a nib unit a some cartridges, and I am still waiting. I have emailed but never got any reply. Ridiculous

We ordered some stuff - fountain pen, ink etc (with plenty of time to spare) on 48 hour delivery for my son's birthday. We have chased on email with no reply at all only to then have the sale reversed, with no explanation, the day before his birthday. No email, no correspondence of any sort. It must be a real privilege, in this day and age, to run a business with little regard for customers or custom. My son is old enough to understand but obviously disappointed. You cant rely on the pen company, empirically, so think twice before you order from them. If you were to ask my advice I would say to avoid them and spend your money elsewhere.

I needed a 10th work anniversary gift at short notice. The Pen Company offer a large range of luxury pens that can be engraved, ranging from as low as £10ish to £300+. I called to ask about getting our company logo engraved and they couldn't have been more helpful. I placed a custom engraving order at 3pm yesterday, selected to pay £4 for 24hr shipping, and just received a beautifully engraved pen at 9.30am this morning. I don't usually write reviews, but this fantastic customer service deserves raving about.

I've been sitting on this for over a month and to be honest I'm still irritated so I'm writing one of the only negative reviews I have ever written. I ordered from this company for the first time and spent over £130 on replacing my old tombow pens. Weirdly, one of the pens was dry so I emailed and asked for a replacement. I told them I was happy to send it back or send a video showing it was dry, and instead of sending out a replacement of a £2.35 pen, they kept sending emails back to me, pretending to be friendly, but basically calling me a liar and acting like i was trying to scam them out of £2.35. Please be aware that they would rather spend their time having passive aggressive emails back and forth, than actually retaining their customers.

Incredible customer service, James went above and beyond with a return of a faulty cap, one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with online shopping; will definitely be recommending them to others.

Needed a couple of specific refills, found the Pen Company web site. Offered a very good choice, easy to navigate the options and good prices. Whilst there I also saw and ordered some new ink from the wide choice on offer. All safely delivered well packaged in a couple of days. Will be happy to use again.

Ordered a diary. I got notice that it was posted 2nd class. After nearly 2 weeks it had not arrived and I emailed The Pen Company twice to find out more. I had no response or acknowledgment, which is the basis of my review. Item actually arrived after 14 days. Second class post (“48 hrs”) is obviously pretty useless.

I have dealt with The Pen Company before and have found the service excellent. I would recommend this company to everyone.
