We cannot thank the staff and the vet enough for what they did for our dog Winnie, the care received, she has been really poorly in overnight emergency care. We took her to our vets at Whalley they saw her kept her for the day and really brought her back to the way she was from being a very poorly dog. We are so pleased to have a practice that is there when you really do need them. As for the cost, there is no price you would not pay for your dog, we have her back with us, safe. So happy with the care we where all given. Ringing us every few hours updates, letting us see her throughout the day when we wanted too. fantastic.

I have had a few issues from overcharging for treatments to incorrect diagnosis. During a health check when it was vaccination time I was told my dog had displaced knee caps. It would be 5.5k for 2 operations! Also sold pain medication for £50. I took a second opinion where the independent vet explained that she would have been born this way , and not to worry as she wasn’t in pain. Operating on joints can cause arthritis and leave alone unless she shows signs of any distress . She’s 4 so would previously have had 8 checkups.
She swallowed a chew and was very lethargic nd panting so took her down to be told she could die and I only had 4 hours to get her the nearest pet hospital where it would likely cost me 7k. Do not use these vets, they only care about profits, not animals.

Had nothing but issues with this vet recently. From wrong/incorrect dosage of medication due to incorrect weight based on last years (early/mid 2025) readings big difference of around 3kg in a cat, even with having a "health check-up" weight was not done, ended up having to go in physically to get my pet re-weighed as they apparently never received the history from another vetinary practice which was confirmed by both email and phone calls, no less than 5 times, that the history had been sent over under urgent/high priority, I was informed they would get back to me when they recieved it but heard nothing. I eventually emailed to say I was bringing my MC cat down to the practice, lack of care and compassion from certain reception staff members, repeatedly asked for history to be sent over to another veterinary practice for the last 10 days, the vetinary practice still hasn't received the history. My cat has been vomiting and I was advised it was due to loxicam, when advised it was soon after/within an hour of being given antibiotics and loxicam was not given at the same time the antibiotics were changed with no instructions on whether to do a straight swap or to leave a gap for the old antibiotics to be out of her system as she had been on them for 9/10 days straight (6/7 days with incorrect dosage), it took them a week to respond about a urine sample given in as suspected UTI even with multiple calls to chase up. I am honestly at a loss right now as no vet is willing to see/give an appointment or advice without my cats previous medical history.

I have never used this Vets Practice but I have read the bad review, we have no decent Vets Practices in Aberdeenshire anymore, all they are interested in is money, they are not interested in the wellbeing of animals. They are just a necessary irritation to make money.

We had an emergency situation with our dog yesterday evening and the service and attention he received from Town and Country (Accrington) was simply first class.

From the call handler, to the registration, through to the Vet, we were superbly looked after throughout.

Was not impressed by the laid back and not very interested vet who saw Stuie.
Have been taking my vet to this practice for more than 15 years and have always found the vets to be helpful and thorough. Unfortunately not on this occasion

It's been a while since my visit and this is the first time I have have had the heart to do this review due to heartbreak and anger. But it's one that needs to be said.

I am appalled by the service I and my boy got back in September at Town and Country Millburn street Aberdeen. T&C were not my normal vet, but mine had closed their local branch due to Covid and I feared my boy needed seen promptly, but they were more than happy for me to go local and said they would release his notes. I got an emergency appt with T&C and told them where he normally went and that they were releasing his notes, being as notes are all computerised now, this was done instantly, verified by my usual vet.

So (Monday) I bundled my 9yo boy up and almost ran to the appt! I KNEW he was sick, I KNEW he was dehydrated, I KNEW he had lost a considerable amount of weight in a seriously short space of time. And here enters Pablo! No one had read his notes, and no one listened to me, and I am an ex veterinary nurse and his mum for over 9 years!!!!!!. I told Pablo he was severely dehydrated, had lost a lot of weight almost over the weekend and he was vomiting badly. His response ....

He is a breed with loose skin, he is not dehydrated!
He seems fine weight wise, we don't know him so we have nothing to go on!
We will take bloods but I think he's probably OK!

They took bloods and ....

Bloods didn't show too much, so he probably has food allergies, here's omeprazole and some specialised food despite the fact that I had explained that I had tried him on the same specialised food only a different brand, and it didnt work!

The following day, he was so much worse I thought screw T&C, and I bundled him up to take to his own vets main surgery 40 miles away. Immediately, he was admitted, hospitalised, got emergency fluid therapy (for his severe dehydration!!!!) had several bloods taken, xrays and a scan done ..... and sadly was diagnosed with lymphoma and come Friday, we went down to say goodbye to my beautiful boy. Less than a week from taking him to T&C!!!!!

I know T&C couldn't have changed the outcome, but they COULD have read his notes, they COULD have listened to me and they COULD have treated my boy a 1000% better.

I am appalled at his treatment, I am incensed by their dismissal, and I will never, EVER set foot in a T&C again as long as I live, and if I have anything to do with letting others know at the disgusting treatment I and he got, I am going to shout it from the roof tops!!!!! You left my boy suffering badly 😭, shame on you Town and Country, SHAME ON YOU!

And worse ..... I have reviewed on their local site and they are refusing to put up post, they keep deleting, one of those companies who only publish positive reviews. I will just keep posting!
