Shopping at Trader Joe's
As a former employee I can share lots. Just know that traders tries but the retail environment is tough and margins are small. If you need a unicorn, Joe's isn't the place. Shop aware, educated and willing to drive. Joe's is a stop and shop as needed then go somewhere else.
The best
Trader Joe's is the best.
Great customer service - consistently, across many stores.
Creative and healthy food options.
I was excited to see TraderJoe'sâŠ
I was excited to see TraderJoe's Organic Mayonnaise on the shelf only to find they used SOY BEAN OIL. Another person was reading the label and WE both put it back. We got away ftom Hydrogenated Oil in the grocery stores and now we have SOY BEAN OIL ruining our health.
Avocado or olive oil would be just fine.
I REGRET SOY BEAN OIL IS APPEARING IN MANY OTHER PRODUCTS SO WE HAVE TO READ ALL THEIR LABELS.
SO MUCH FOR EXPECTING TRUSTED PRODUCTS WHEN YOU SHOP AT TRADER JOE'S AND SEE PRODUCTS THAT ARE UNHEALTHY FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.

Friendly, helpful, honest staff. Took the time to explain everything to me. Fair pricing and great customer service! Will be back again!

I have been shopping in 15 years in Centreville. I used to have good customer service. Lately there is new staff. And I have experienced racism. They insult minorities. My other friends have felt it too. There should be class action lawsuit on this company.

Love Trader Joeâs ð
Thumbs down experience!
The plain clothes security guards at the Trader Joe's location in Pittsford Plaza (Pittsford, N.Y.) are very aggressive and are very likely off duty cops. I am an elderly honorably discharged veteran w/o a criminal record and neatly dressed, and yet I was treated like a notorious shop lifter!
I am not likely to shop there again. I also found the shopping experience there to be very claustrophobic and unpleasant. The employees in store other than the loser guards on the other hand seem to be nice and professional.
On sunday september 22n 2024 I went toâŠ
On sunday september 22n 2024 I went to the trader joe's at the Form.
The place was very busy and they were approximately six cashiers with approximately 4 to5 customers in line at each register
I noticed that there were employees who were putting out merchandise on to the shells at a very slow pace.I'm talking to each other with more and depth conversation.
Meanwhile the cashiers had very little help with 1 or 2 baggers. This slowed the process of checking out even longer than anticipated.
I understand the process of restocking the shelves, however I always thought that the customer was the main priority.
My first trip
It was a bright Friday morning when I first stepped into Trader Joe's, a grocery store that I had heard so much about. As I entered, the first thing that caught my eye was the vibrant and bright pastel red and beige decor, which reminded me of the popular tv show That 70's show I used to watch. The walls were adorned with high definition posters, and the lights shinned bright from the ceiling. The entrance adorned with bunches of roses and carnations. The store was full of bright colors and patterns, which gave it a unique and inviting atmosphere.
As I started to walk around, I noticed the employees, who all seemed to be genuinely happy and welcoming. They were all dressed in bright red shirts and greeted every customer with a smile, which made me feel at ease.
As I explored the store, I was impressed by the vast selection of unique products that I had never seen before. I saw everything from exotic fruits to a wide range of international snacks, and it was all displayed in an organized and accessible manner.
Despite the overwhelming variety of products, I found the layout to be straightforward and easy to navigate. The employees were always ready to assist me in finding what I was looking for, which made my shopping experience much more enjoyable.
The sound of laughter and chatter filled the air, as customers and employees alike engaged in friendly conversations with one another. It was refreshing to see everyone having such a good time while shopping for groceries.
As I reached the checkout counter, I couldn't help but smile at the cashier's upbeat demeanor. She greeted me warmly and chatted with me as she scanned my items. She even recommended a few new products for me to try.
As I walked out of the store with my groceries, I felt a sense of contentment wash over me. The overwhelming visual decor and comforting laughter and smiles of the employees had made my first visit to Trader Joe's a memorable experience. I knew that I would be back soon to explore even more of their unique products and to bask in the friendly atmosphere.
I shop in NYC so it's different thanâŠ
I shop in NYC so it's different than when I lived in the 'burbs. The stores are clean, which is a big deal to me, & they have bathrooms - even bigger deal in NYC, and they have products I actually like. But lately it seems they are always out of certain things I use regularly, the last few watermelons have tasted like cucumbers. I go bc even though they are pricey. they are still the cheapest in Manhattan.
Trader Joe's on West 72nd street
Trader Joe's on West 72nd street, Manhattan, has discontinued a number of very good items, such as Anadama bread, Danish cake, etc., replacing them with small packages of whatever and charging more money; also the 'music' is very loud, deafening (and i am in my 80's and hear well) and I don't want to get deaf). I complained about this many times and all I get is lip service. Some stores do this on purpose, I guess, to raise the blood pressure of customers or confuse them for whatever dark purpose. But it is not music, just loud nauseating noise. No Frank Sinatra, no Beatles, no Mozart, no Beethoven, just garbage noise, not even a donkey would take it, and most of the customers there are intelligent and decent, not the type that would accept this kind of nonsense noise.
Dirty store but nice people
Selection is not really the problem and was nice enough, but the store was very dirty, with stuff left lying around and some trash on the ground, as if someone was in the process of cleaning it, but nobody was there. The staff were nice enough tho!

My company worked long hours trying to build there new location in time and we were never paid . I would never give my money to a place that rips off small businesses!
Dont like it
Exceptional FTL staff - especially Jodi and Isadora
The staff at the Fort Lauderdale TJ is the best. Especially Isadora and Jodi - they always make a point of checking in on me as they know itâs a difficult chapter.
Today, Isadora ran out the store to hand me a bouquet of flowers and asked if I needed a hug. She always greets customers with a bright cheerful smile. Staff is quick to look up any items I canât find to inform me of order status.
Publix used to brag itâs where shopping is a pleasure, but in my city, itâs TJâs thatâs sets the barre so high thanks to the incredible staff who make it feel like a real community of caring. Itâs a joy to shop at TJâs thanks to these special souls. Appreciate them so very much!
Trader Joes has a problem with MeetsâŠ
Trader Joes has a problem with their meets. I love Trader Joes and love to go to the Near by store in Bressi Ranch. The issue is the meets that we have bought in the last couple weeks were bad when we brought them home. We bought steak on the first occasion then salmon today. Both were spoiled. Because trader joes is not that close to us we end up going to Vons and buying the same meet again. I have stopped buying meet at trader Joe's but my wife still does but after this experience, I believe she may stop as well. The meet from trader Joes has always spoiled much quickly than any meet we buy at any of the other retailers as well. Not sure why this is.
Pinda cashewnoten mix
Pinda cashew noten mix. That is correct but it is for 90 % pinda. You have to search for a cashew note. On the bag it saus 37% cashewnoten!!!!
Service dogs NOT welcome!
This is the second time the crew members have asked me what disability I have that I need a service dog. They violate the ADA law and were trained to ask these questions. They also told me that if my dog is emotional support, they don't allow her. She was wearing an identifying Service Dog vest. It's mortifying having people stare when having your rights violated. I would not recommend Trader Joe's to anyone with any disability or service animal. Shame on them!
