In my opinion, Online Trading Academy is a scam. They pressure people into financing overpriced trading courses that can cost $6,000+,

They also constantly have weekly meetups and classes that honestly feel more like recruiting events than education. They want current students showing up because it makes new people think everybody is successful and happy there. Looking back, it felt like students were being used as part of the marketing to bait new people into signing up.

The support completely changes after you enroll, and people can end up stuck with debt and limited access to the courses they’re still paying for.

There is barely space in the classes because their primary goal is to make money off of trading . Even the teachers there work full time jobs . I doubt any are that successful in teaching trading for a living. The school is THEIR source of income , NOT trading!

Please do your research before signing anything.

I really tried to give Online Trading Academy the benefit of the doubt, but looking back, the entire experience felt more like a high-pressure sales operation than an education company.

The moment you show interest, they start selling you on “financial freedom,” “quitting your job,” and becoming a successful trader, but the reality is completely different for most people. They encourage people to finance extremely expensive packages that can cost $20,000 or more, even when many students are complete beginners and have no real understanding of trading yet.

What’s crazy is that once you sign those finance agreements, you are LOCKED IN. If you fall behind on payments because life happens, instead of working with you fairly, they can restrict your course access while still holding you responsible for the full debt balance. So now you can’t even access the material you financed, but the payments and collection calls keep coming.

Then eventually the account can end up in collections, damaging your credit on top of everything else. Imagine paying thousands of dollars for “education,” losing access to it, and STILL owing the full amount. That should tell people everything they need to know.

The biggest issue is that the company seems far more concerned about collecting money than actually helping struggling students succeed. Once the contract is signed and the financing goes through, the energy changes. The support starts to feel transactional instead of genuine.

Also, a lot of the information they teach can literally be learned online for a fraction of the cost or even free if someone is disciplined enough to study. There are books, YouTube channels, simulators, trading communities, and real market experience that honestly teach you more than overpriced motivational seminars.

The most disappointing part is that many people join because they are genuinely trying to improve their lives financially. Some are desperate, some are beginners, some are trying to create another stream of income, and instead they end up stressed out with massive debt, collection accounts, and no real consistent trading success.

People need to understand that trading itself is already risky enough. Starting your trading journey buried under a $20,000 education debt makes it even worse.

Please do your research before signing ANY financing agreement with these types of companies. Read every contract carefully. Ask what happens if you lose access. Ask what happens if you fall behind. Ask whether the education is truly worth the price tag.

Over class was informative. However, I think the number of instructors in the class should be based on the number of students. Instructor could not assist all students with issues. Malcolm answered questions more general, in front of the class which i prefer my specific question to receive a direct/specific answer not general. Edgar was definitely more hands on including answering questions directly. But I could have gain much more knowledge if at least one more instructor was avaliable based on the size of our class.

This has been a remarkable experience. As a newbie to trading, taking the Core Strategy class has taught me a lot. The flexibility with the night class was a plus. The information taught combined with the online material introduced me to the fundamentals of trading. Malcolm is very knowledgeable. I appreciate the additional support provided by student support.

Trading academy was the best decision I made.. I was kind of skeptical at first, But decided to go with it. I learned a lot in core strategy with Malcolm and Edgar. They were wonderful. I most definitely will be taking their class again. 10 out of 10 recommended.

Mr. Malcon is a kind and patient teacher with his students, and he explains the material we want to learn very clearly.
Edgar, too, gives me a great deal of confidence and motivation to keep learning; since he also speaks Spanish, that helps me significantly to understand even more of what we are studying.

The clarify with witch the instructors deliver the materials.Made a difficult subject matter easy to understand...

The instructors were all great. The energy and effort they put into teaching the concepts were very direct and fast paced. The expectations were very high. The concepts are drilled over and over which is great. Malcolm’s disposition is very entertaining and inviting. You can tell he really cares about us and wants to see us succeed. Edgar is no and direct. He shoots straight from the hip. He makes you learn and apply the processes on your own to ensure that you are putting in what you expect to get out of the course. There is no hand holding it’s hard work and you must study in class and out to keep up or you will fall behind. Day 4 is when I felt the most comfortable because Malcolm encourages you not to give up and give yourself grace. It felt better to know that 3-6 months is a more realistic time frame for a learning professional to grasp a full understanding of this course

Overall the class was informative. However I was able to pick up more from Edgar because he broke it down a little better for me to catch on.

Malcolm and Edger was very good at breaking down the information and “ VERY VERY” patient with us. I like that all of our questions was answered even tho we asked a lot of the same questions over and over. I have a much better understanding of the marker in the short space of time. I will recommend trading academy to everyone young and old.

I started with the 3 day class with Tre and was so impressed with the class that I signed up with the Trading Academy. Core Strategy is the first that I have taken and Malcolm is the instructor with Edgar helping in the class. Malcolm is a great instructor who explains well and is understanding and encouraging with students of all levels. It is very helpful to have Edgar as a secondary in the class to answer questions and help keep the class on target. I definitely recommend the Trading Academy.

I’ve been trading now as a beginner/novice for 6 years and for the first time in my career I can say that this has been well worth it. Better than any YouTube University or multi level marketing gimmicks this was for real. I’m proud to say that I honestly know what I’m looking at when I read the charts thanks to OTA and its great leaders and community. I am grateful and worth every dollar. My experience was informative and interactive combined with great tools to extend learning

All their in-house personnel R A-1 as well as the visiting instructors we've met and learned from.

The available repeat classes really is appreciated.

Malcolm helped me spot errors in my trading during a 1-on-1 meeting with the instructor. We also went over the Academy's trading strategy, which helped solidify the trading techniques that I should be making, and how to better read a chart. Sometimes small changes can make a big difference in trading, and these 1-on-1s help tremendously with that.

The care and attention to details. The thorough explanation of the concepts and the process.
The effort to make sure everyone understands and is able to express themselves and participate accordingly.

The community is great. I love the fact that if you have any concerns the director and the staff are always available. It doesn't feel like a school but a community. Everyone is very friendly and accessible for the students needs. From the director to the receptionist. Also, having the Director be so helpful understanding and willing to help the students succeed is the cherry on top.
