I have two Activair 15kW heat pumps installed in May 2025, and they have never worked properly. For example, the system heats the hot water as expected, but then every 90 minutes it circulates cold water from outside, stripping all the heat out of the hot water cylinder. Within about 12 hours, the water is cold again. There are other issues that break features such as weather compensation.
The real issue is the complete lack of support from Trianco. They refuse to speak to me directly and hide behind âcontractual reasons,â insisting I go through the installer. After about nine months, my installer managed to arrange a Trianco engineer site visit. The engineer saw the faults for himself, and confirmed the problems were real. He said he would produce a report for the installer with steps to remedy.
Nothing happened.
When I asked for a copy of the report, Trianco refused to provide it. Itâs obvious whyâbecause theyâve effectively decided to do nothing. So Iâm left with £15,000 heat pumps that donât work and a 10-year warranty that is not worth the paper it is written on.
Avoid this company. The product doesnât perform, and the customer support is non-existent. If you do go with Trianco, be prepared for a long, frustrating fight to get them to take responsibility. I donât know how long a fight it will be as I have not made much progress so far.

Absolutely awful customer service.
After having a Trianco air source heat pump installed, it drops off the 4g network, rendering operation when I'm away from home impossible.
After contacting the technical team, I felt like I'd been spoken to by a brain dead moron. Telling me "Trianco aren't responsible for my 4g connection"
I've asked why the heat pump hadn't been connected via WiFi. The question must be too difficult or embarrassing for them to answer, or they just couldn't think of an excuse.
In all I'm bitterly disappointed. Mainly with the poor amateurish off hand response from the technical department all the way up to the managing director.
My advice would be do your research before parting with large sums of money. Trianco are not trustworthy or professional. Steer well clear.

And I agree, you offered a wifi module. You stated this was an additional cost, not only to purchase, but that it would require installation by an electrician.
Furthermore, what reviews I leave for bad service or products are entirely up to me.
I tend not to pat companies on the back with nice reviews when all they are doing is fulfilling their obligations.
What I do, and will continue to do, is slate companies and business that let me down or provide lack lustre workmanship, after sales or products.
I then hope others won't fall into the same traps as myself.
As for abuse. You seem a little over sensitive on my review.
I, like many, will react badly after being spoken in a manner inferring they are an idiot. Maybe I'm at fault for venting my frustration. But never mind. We all have our faults don't we.
At the end of the day, Trianco are clearly in denial. Still stating the obvious that they aren't responsible for the 4g network.
I don't know who wrote the response but they need to think before repeating their corporate drivel.

There was a penetration through the box where the dent is but no damage on the outer packaging - so the damage must have occurred before it left their warehouse. Twice was enough - i asked for a refund that time.

I have a Trianco 15 KW air source heat pump which I am really pleased with. Fergal at Trianco has been very helpful (and very patient) in explaining how to adjust the settings to get my heat pump working more efficiently. Would definitely recommend.

Need new glass and rope for my fire, contacted their customer service to question the size needed as their site doesn't give details and there's two different size ropes on the door, got a reply back with just a link to the site so they'd clearly not read the email, replied again saying their site doesn't give the details, nothing back, tried for the third time to get a response, still nothing, avoid if you can.
Nothing was too much trouble, very happy with service and received my boiler the next day!

What a terrible company, take your money for an inferior product, arrived with no fittings, no mention in instructions that you also need flow restrictor valve and woe betide you if you dare phone customer service as your treated and spoken to as if you're a total imbecile. Buy any make but avoid this company like the plague.

I had a electric new Trianco boiler installed 8 years ago, after 4 years the circuit board failed and I had to get a new one. Now after 8 years it has gone again. I rang the company and was told it would be £300.00 for another.
I explained to Trianco this is the second time in 8 years the boilers circuit board has failed. I have a tenant without heating. They offered to do a diagnostic if i send it in and if itâs faulty may provide a circuit board at a discount. My issue is I donât have the time to wait 2 weeks as it is 23 12 2022. My tenant needs heating now.
If i did get another circuit board how likely is to fail again.
I make it my priority to only purchase from companies that provide good customer and after sale service.
I have decided to cut my loses and buy a new boiler, but definitely not from Trianco.
I rang Trianco to ask about replacing a gas boiler with an electric boiler. The advisor explained the technical issues involved patiently and thoroughly. He gave me information which will enable me to make an informed decision, and assured me of future help. I will certainly go back to Trianco if we decide to purchase. It's not easy to find a company that is so helpful.

Having a customer with a aging oil boiler requiring spares parts, I rang Trianco with my parts needs, not only were they able to supply the parts, the service was exceptionally speedy.
I might add the original part sent were not compatible with the aging unit, on calling they made the parts and replaced without quibble and again exceptionally fast.
In particular Peter in the parts department was helpful, knowledgeable and true to his work.
