just wanted to highlight the poor service I received at the Coalville branch
I booked my car in for a 4 wheel alignment as one of the rear tyres was showing excessive uneven wear. The appointment was scheduled at 8.00am.
I experienced the following issues : -
1. I arrived at 8.00am as per the appointment to eventually be told that the operative in question doesn’t begin work until 8.30am
2. When I returned to pick up my car, I was handed the keys and told it was all done. I was not given a report (as your major competitors do) or given any information regarding any adjustments made.
3. When I questioned this, the receptionist went to ask the operative and came back to tell me that they had been unable to adjust the rear wheels as the ‘arms’ are seized and need replacement. They offered to quote for the necessary work and contact me later with a price.
4. I received a phone call to inform me that the required work would cost @£550, but they wouldn’t charge me for re-alignment
I have 3 main complaints: -
1. I received no report or information when I collected my car.
2. Had I not questioned it, I would have been allowed to leave the premises blissfully unaware that the rear wheels were still mis-aligned, continuing to cause excessive wear on the rear tyre that could have caused a blow out possibly resulting in a serious accident.
3. I paid for a 4 wheel alignment which was not fully carried out.

Firstly, we apologise if you did not receive the full report upon collection of your vehicle. Providing customers with the results of the work carried out is standard practice, and we're sorry if this was not communicated as clearly as it should have been.
Having spoken with our colleagues at the branch, we have been advised that you were informed that the rear alignment could not be completed due to the rear suspension arms being seized and requiring replacement. We also understand that, when providing the quotation for the required repairs, you were offered the re-alignment free of charge once the necessary work had been completed.
In relation to the quotation, we always strive to keep our prices as competitive as possible. In this instance, the only replacement parts available to us were genuine manufacturer parts, which was explained at the time and reflected in the quotation provided.
We appreciate your comments regarding communication at collection and will use your feedback to remind our team of the importance of ensuring customers leave with a full explanation of the work carried out and any recommendations.

Great company had mot and they were very good , looked after the car, not like other garages that are ruff and dont car about your car, will definitely use them again highly recommended

Excellent service and efficiency at Tyre King in Burton for regas of air conditioning. Manager was very polite, knowledgeable and helpful and cost was very reasonable. Would definitely use again.

Not Happy
My vehicle was sent to Tyre King as it waas reccomended by the RAC for warranty repairs. When I first called to book it in, the gentleman I spoke to sounded knowledgeable and gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing.
I dropped the vehicle off on a Friday, but when I called later for an update, I was told they hadn’t even looked at it. It then sat with them all weekend. On Monday, I was informed that the issue was a cylinder head gasket — a job they don’t carry out — so I collected the vehicle. I was charged £84.00, and the RAC was invoiced as well.
I then took the vehicle to the main dealer, who immediately questioned how Tyre King had reached that diagnosis and asked me to obtain a copy of the diagnostic report. When I contacted Tyre King, I was told they hadn’t actually done one. As a result, the main dealer had to start again from scratch.
Their diagnosis turned out to be completely wrong. It wasn’t a head gasket at all — it was simply a thermostat.
Overall, I’m not impressed. The vehicle was left untouched for days, I was charged for a diagnosis that wasn’t carried out, and the conclusion they gave me was incorrect. Not the level of service I expected from a garage recommended by the RAC.

We would just like to clarify a couple of points. There is a difference between a technician’s inspection and assessment of a vehicle, and a full diagnostic report carried out using diagnostic equipment. In this instance, one of our technicians inspected the vehicle and provided their professional assessment based on the symptoms present, rather than carrying out a diagnostic scan with a printed diagnostic report. A diagnostic scan is generally carried out when there is a warning light or fault code present to investigate, which was not the case here.
With regards to the inspection charge, this is only applicable where the vehicle is not covered under an RAC Platinum account, in line with the RAC warranty process. We have also investigated your comments regarding the RAC being charged and can confirm that the RAC has not been invoiced for this work.
Based on the information provided to us at the time, we were informed that the issue related to the vehicle’s coolant. From the symptoms described, our technician’s assessment was based on the information available at the time and did not indicate the issue you have since mentioned.
We always strive to provide an honest and professional service, and we’re sorry that on this occasion we didn’t meet your expectations. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best moving forward.

I found the staff at Tyre King…
I found the staff at Tyre King coalville professional and very helpful with the service and repairs to my car.
I was unsure with was needed however Mark fully explained the repairs and the process which put my mind at ease. A quick turnaround and very competitive prices.I will definitely be using tyre king coalville again. Thank you.

Asked for a price on some work too get…
Asked for a price on some work too get my car through the MOT and I’ve been absolutely blanked because they don’t want too do the work so basically failed my car and now won’t do the work on it too pass it so basically failed my car and took the payment for the MOT and now won’t do the work on my car won’t be using this money con company again

What an amazing company
What an amazing company, I got the number from the internet I had not heard of King Tyre before I called them . The lady who answered the phone was polite and friendly she asked me to pop the car in to them at any time and they would take a look at the problem.
They fixed the puncture in my tyre with in 15mins and I was good to go . Plus the price they charge was very reasonable. Thank you King Tyre I will always use you for my tyre care.
