Avoid this is a scam from yet another crap Chinses company

I have to say, I read the bad reviews on here AFTER I ordered and paid for my antique brass kitchen tap and started to get very nervous about what I was going to get. I almost cancelled the order but was really struggling to find this colour tap elsewhere. Yes it came from China and it was a bit of an anxious wait however, the communication from 'Kate Moss' was very good, prompt replies to all my emails and gave me reassurance about the tap measurements and delivery time when I queried.
The tap itself is lovely, just what we wanted for our kitchen. I would recommend buying from them but make sure you allow time for delivery and I guess you have take the risk of it potentially not being quite right and having to pay the return fee.

AVOID NOT A UK COMPANY. CHINA.
DO NOT BUY AS RETURNS ARE TO CHINA AND IF YOU DO SEND BACK (I've read here) THEY PROBABLY WONT COLLECT THE PARCEL

First contact with "Kate Moss" (which I should have clocked) beginning of February asking about 2 particular taps.
Advice, photos came which I asked if I could have free return labels and refunds if these were not suitable YES I was told.
I purchased 2, cost of £241total
Both were peculiar colours NOT like their images
On asking returns on both they said
Return to here. WE ONLY HAVE CHINA WAREHOUSE OPEN!
unfortunately I didn't think to take photos of the labels for addresses grrr.

Not sure what to say to you that I've not already said here AND in emails to yourselves apart from READ THE OTHER PEOPLES REVIEWS HERE!
there is no way I am sending these taps back to you and you folks NOT collecting them, I lose the taps AND my money! Like I said. My bank is looking into this and I expect a full refund from them in the next 14 days. Also, whilst I remember, PayPal are investigating your companies ethics too!

We checked with the express here. The parcels are in normal transit. Normally they will arrive the delivery depot at the end of this week. You can track it with the delivery company once they arrived the depot.
Our products are shipped from the nearest warehouse to the customer address.

There is no way I am chancing dispatching these to China and me being left like MANY others here leaving VERY similar reviews stating the same FACTS. Like mine.

I bought 2 tapes but the quality very cheap so i ask to return back.
The address is in China and i have to pay £55
The package arrived and they never went to collect it from customer duty
After 2 months I received them back
This company never replied back to me again

Would rate 0 if it was possible. I wish I had read these reviews prior to ordering. Unfortunately, it is true that this is not a UK company - should (and certainly will by me) be reported to the Ombudsman and closed down.
Item sold was not as described, returned package not received at the given Chinese address, and money not refunded despite a PayPal dispute and providing all relevant information. Additional cost incurred for shipping and return almost £100. Stay clear and report if you've had a similar experience.

BEWARE. This is not a uk company - they operate out of China and they do not have a customer service that is of any use.
Remember, using your credit card through Paypal voids Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act and means that no one wants to take responsibility for getting your money back.

They will ignore you and hope you go away

The free standing bath tap I ordered had a problem, but uk taps responded quickly and replaced the part which now works fine overall a good service

Do not buy from this company. The name is misleading and you have to deal with Chinese arrogance and lies.
We received a very inferior quality tap from them.
I sent photos to Kate Moss in China who would not accept the tap was sub UK quality and not fit for purpose....We paid about £20 to ship it back to CHINA.
It got held up and seized by Chinese customs..what a surprise....Good job we paid on PayPal who refunded us all but the return shipping cost. This UK taps is not really UK company or UK quality.
We are £20 down and the whole return process was very very stressful to get back our £112 for a Mickley mouse product.

Ordered waterfall tap from what I thought was a uk company, hence the name, Uktaps, complete with a Union Jack logo. This is very misleading. They are a Chinese company, and if you have to return any item, there is NO PHONE NUMBER. You have to email, a ‘Kate Moss,’ who if she responds, will send a broken English email ,with a return address in China, which you are responsible for. In our case, over £52. So we are left with a tap that we don’t want, and will have to sell on at a loss. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL BE DONE AS WE HAVE BEEN. DO YOUR HOMEWORK,AND BUY FROM SOMEWHERE LEGIT.
Have a had a response from Uktaps claiming that they are a uk company. Once again their response was in broken English. Absolutely refuse to believe them. They may have an office, but that’s all. Warehouse is in China. AVOID.

I cannot express enough DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!!!! Chinese company pretending to be a UK Company. Items won’t be delivered quickly. Mine missed the plumbers deadline and when I asked to return I was told I have to return it to China 😬😬 the postage cost will be almost as much as the item. Don’t be fooled. With hindsight and looking at the website, there are spelling and grammar mistakes which is usually a big indication that this is not a UK company. I was duped and want to stop anyone else being in the same boat. Enough reputable companies in the UK selling similar products. Stick with one of those.

Steer clear from Chinese companies, total joke!

I have been trying to communicate with this company for over a moth now! I bought a tap that arrived promptly but without a single fitting or valve rendering it useless! I wrote to the company after realising there isn't a phone number too call! I was advised to send a photo of the tap to another email address which I did along with the correspondence I had already had with the original address. I was informed that the missing pieces would be sent to me.
A month later nothing has arrived and not a single email since has been answered or acknowledged!
This is an expensive tap and is also costing me in my plumbers time as he can not proceed without the fittings needed. I live in France and can not buy off the shelf UK fittings.
I had previously bought a tap from this company and had a successful experience which is why I went back but now I am highly dissatisfied and feel I am being ripped off!

This company is firstly, not UK based, they are based in China and sell cheap imports at over inflated prices.
When you return the item, the return address is China, at great expense, you return the item in order to get some of the money back. They then see fit to deduct the cost of the postage (which I paid) from the overall refund and deny that you paid the postage in the first place.
What follows is a very terse and frequent email conversation, trying to get them to pay up. The saga is ongoing. Do not touch this company with a barge pole!

This company is completely disingenuous.It calls itself UKTaps but should actually be called ChinaTaps.There is no mention in the return policy that the taps have to be returned to China if not wanted, as a tracked parcel which would cost a lot of money.I would never have bought the tap had I known the company was based in China as there are lots of good tap companies in the UK.I particularly focused on them because they are called UKTaps...The box was squashed and had obviously been all over the place.I am having a dispute with them and have noticed I am not the only one.

Rip off - stay clear
This outfit is run from a UK home address, sourcing products from China. The website is very misleading. They sent me a damaged tap and refused to refund me. They won’t offer a UK return because it then costs them a fortune to send the product back to China themselves.

In the end I had to open a PayPal dispute to get my money back. They did refund me - but not before paying £40 to return the product to their China address. Complete rip off, stay clear. Cowboy company.

I purchased a tap in good faith from this Company. There was no mention on the web site that the Company is in China.

The packaging was in a poor state and the tap was faulty with a bad finish.

I contacted the company and then found out that I had to send the tap to China which cost me £23! What sort of modern company asks their customers to do that?

So over a month later the item gets to China and I get a partial refund. Why? Because I am now being accused of damaging the tap.

I am a professional fitter and I do know how to handle a tap, how to fit a tap and when I am sold a duffer. It looked to me like this tap had been used before and then resold to me. Clues to this I identified in some of the emails sent to me which had snippets of the Company policies which, if you look at the website, are unclear.

This transaction has cost me money.

If you want to risk the the same experience as I have had, go right ahead and buy one of the lovely looking taps from the web site. Me? I will be buying elsewhere and never again from this Company.

On a final note, you can tell a good Company from the products and pricing but you can tell a great Company from the after sales service. This Company, in my opinion, does not get close.

BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK

Despite the name, they're not a UK based company. They are in China. As such delivery can take a while. That said, they're very responsive in communication, and the tap we got is really fantastic. A really lovely, unique piece and top notch quality.

It's not the ideal customer service experience, and there's no number to call - all communication must be written, but in my experience the product has been worth it.

Despite the name, this is a China based company and so quoted delivery times are pure fiction, which is why they are "not guaranteed". If you're in no hurry, don't care about the quality or the fact that returning items costs more than they're worth, good luck. Otherwise I would think carefully before placing an order.

I have purchased two Taps from this company on the same order. One item is fine, no problems but the other one had a appalling finish, weld spatter still present and discoloration. UK Taps.co.uk have offered me an exchange IF I return the product back to China! This would cost me around £65 - the tap was only £73.00. Why should a customer have to pay for a faulty good to be returned?? No mention anywhere on website that goods are from China. As I said, one product is ok, but please beware if you receive a faulty product as you will have to pay to return. I am now dealing with my Credit Card company to try and get a refund via them.
