Another wonderful stay with Unique Homestays, this time at Amaia in south Cornwall. A marvellous beachfront property with breathtaking views. It was perfect for our multi-generational group of 9, with superbly spacious indoor and outdoor living areas. Everything was meticulously prepared for us, and we would have no doubts about returning ourselves or recommending to friends and family. Thank you to the teams at Unique Homestays and Amaia!

We stayed at a place called Aphrodite. Being the goddess of love, she certainly cast her spell over us. We cannot think of a single bad thing. The location is wondrous, 20 minutes south of Bude and 35 minutes north of Padstow - excellent for surfing, walking or any other adventure that tickled our fancy. Nestled between grazing cows and sheep, there is an enchanting sea view. The house was quirky is designed in a relaxing and lovely way, with top notch amenities to make you feel like you’re staying in luxury.

The booking process was excellent and it was refreshing to have lovely customer service throughout from Unique Homestays. We’ll definitely be using them again.

We had a lovely week staying in Hansa. The place is unique in lots of ways. It is surrounded by woods and is overlooking a lake. We were extremely lucky with the weather, in fact it was too hot at times with +30 degree temperatures some days but we used the wood burning hot tub as a cold plunge to cool ourselves down.
If you want a holiday with near total seclusion with just a few fishermen dotted around the lake then this is the place for you.

A superb stay at Watermark in Stoke Gabriel, what a gem of a property located right on the water, and huddled into the hillside. The house is superb, great attention to detail a great effort is made to make your stay the best it can be. We just love this place and have just completed our second visit. We just love watching the world and boats go by from the deck & the hot tub. One fabulous vacation from start to finish.

Hannah was wonderful from start to finish — patient, attentive, and genuinely invested in finding the right property for our family's needs. Her recommendation of Holanen turned out to be exactly right.

The house itself is superb: modern, beautifully designed, and perfectly thought through. Tucked away at the end of a quiet lane yet within easy walking distance of the whole village, it offers the best of both worlds — total peace and quiet, with Mousehole's harbour and restaurants just steps away. The view alone is worth the trip — breathtaking, and one we never tired of.

We just returned from an excellent stay at The Studio in The Cotswolds. We wanted a private, quiet, stay with a place to cook and unwind....and The Studio did not disappoint. We had a huge outdoor private garden area with a grill, pizza oven, and fire pit. The upstairs kitchen dining area walks right out into the patio and garden. There are no views, but it is in the perfect location near all of the wonderful towns, farms, lavender farms, co-op grocers....just a perfect private location. The owner's Lee & James were excellent in answering our questions, suggesting ideas, and assuring our stay was optimal in every way. Thank you Simone for the booking and Lee & James for making our first visit to The Cotswold pure magic. We will be back.

This is the first time I have dealt with Unique Homestays and it certainly won’t be the last . The communication with Simone was friendly, helpful and professional. The property was just as described on there website and the views were to die for! The facilities provided was everything you could wish for , with some nice added touches. Would highly recommend.

Had the most wonderful stay at The Shearling, a truly wow property, perfect for peace and quiet. Beautifully furnished with every comfort you could need. The icing on the cake for us was the outdoor pool and the wildlife around the property a truly unique stay and one we highly recommend. The booking process was so easy and full instructions given clearly to help withour visit, we loved it!!

I book a lot of cottages in the UK and unique homestays were excellent, and provided a very professional personal service. The property we stayed in, Saffron Tower, was atunning. Everything about the property was top tier, and it was a truly unique and special experience. Well worth every penny

We recently enjoyed a fabulous 3 generational Cotswolds based family holiday utilising a Unique Homestays property as our base. Everything was truly exceptional. Prior to booking, I found Simone & the team to be very responsive and helpful, and this continued throughout our experience including when we were onsite & had any questions, Angie was able to help.
The home that we stayed at (Palladium) was gorgeous & we were pinching ourselves throughout our stay that we had this opportunity to build treasured family memories in such an idyllic setting. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic experience with Unique Homestays. The booking process was really straightforward, and the range of properties available is excellent. The team were always quick to respond and were incredibly helpful whenever we had questions, which made the whole process feel very personal and stress-free.

We stayed at Sundance in Trebudannon and absolutely loved it. The property was beautiful, well-equipped, and in a stunning setting. Jane was a wonderful host and very accommodating throughout our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and would happily recommend both Sundance and Unique Homestays to others.

Zephyros exceeded all our expectations. We booked it a year ago for our family to celebrate a big wedding anniversary, the house and its tranquil setting being ideal. This modern house has all the facilities we needed for a delightful family get together with big spacious bedrooms and living areas and set in a large private garden. To top it off, the house has a large heated indoor swimming pool which was hard to get the grandchildren to leave. The location, just a short drive from the coast became irrelevant as we had everything we needed at this amazing home. The beautifully decorated interior, not so personalised that you felt you were in someone else’s living space was perfect. We can’t praise the owners and Unique Homestays enough and will be sure to return in the future.

We have had quite a few trips with Unique Homestays now and they have all been wonderful. Yes, the properties are more expensive than an AirBnB or similar but they are so unique and special and the degree of care taken so much higher, it is really worth it especially for a special occasion. A few highlights:

1) Hansa - this is a little gingerbread cottage from the 19th century that looks right out of a picture book. We had the beautiful cosy cottage, private lake view and deck, and so much more. The hamper was the best we ever had with vegan items specially picked out for us (usually we get things we can't eat or a v thin hamper with meat/dairy items removed) and the dog was treated just as well with a bed, special towels and even vegan dog treats for him. All in all we felt very looked after and had a wonderful time. We didn't want to leave!

2) Ukiyo - we have stayed here more than once and would be tempted to move here if it was an option. We later hired the designer to consult on our own home because we loved it so much. The view is also perhaps the best in the UK. Enough said!

3) Firefly - another fairytale cottage, as beautiful as the pictures and so clean and well equipped. We took one of my all time favourite pictures of our little dog in the wooden kitchen looking like something out of a children's book

4) the Glasshouse - we went here with a group and everyone is still talking about it being the nicest house they've ever seen. Views for days, private hot tub and river swimming deck, incredible spaces to sit together and hang out...couldn't have been better or more special

5) Pepper Shack - so beautiful inside and out, total privacy. The perfect place for a cosy romantic weekend. Also a very good price for somewhere so special

6) Figgy Court - a gorgeous place we stayed for my husband's birthday. Weather was dire (December) so we mainly stayed inside but it was beautiful and cosy and felt special anyway. The dog loved it too and the garden had a fence and gate so very safe for him

We have never had an issue with cleanliness of any of the homes or with getting a damage deposit back even when we've had small accidents like breaking a glass (we always let the owner know if something like that happens). We will continue to stay with UH for sure

We stayed in Selkie on The Isle of Skye and had an amazing week. The standard of the property was exceptional, it was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a luxurious weeks stay. The hamper was excellent and provided us with everything we needed upon arrival and until we could find supplies. The property wasnt cheap, but you 100% get what you pay for and I wouldn't hesitate to return.

We've just finished a week at Atelier Rose in Herefordhsire and have had a wonderful experience. The sunshine helped of course, but the house and garden(s) are magnificent, located on the banks of a river (almost literally) in a picture postcard english countryside village.

The owner of the property set the perfect tone with his warm text message of welcome and when I spoke with him during the week, he was charm and efficiency personified. A man of thought and care, and this was reflected in the way the house was furnished and equipped. Homely but beautiful, a great blend of classic and modern, comfortable and very well appointed.

The garden was a joy - lawn, then herb garden mixed with topiary, then wide lawn, then a beautiful orchard at the rear of the property. The kids covered every inch in 7 sun drenched days!

Lots to do around and about, cultural, foodie, and city stuff all within a half hour drive.
